In my opinion not precisely. You are referring to the use of the recovery certificate in case of a positive test.
From what i have found in the last 2 days, even if it is actually a negative test (as demanded by the airline),

they may require a recovery certificate also if you have recently recovered. People may not think of it that way.

IMHO, i now consider the recovery certificate important to get whether the PCR test is positive or negative.
I will get one regardless of the test result.

My daughter in law and granddaughter were both found infected when they tested to fly home and had to remain in quarantine 2 weeks. After this period they still tested positive and were not allowed to fly. One week later they still tested positive but obtained a recovery certificate and were allowed to fly, 3 1/2 weeks after they were found infected.

I realize that there are different rules in different countries and I think it also depends sometimes on the person at the check in.

Anyway it's a good idea to get this certificate and hope you will make it and have a pleasant and HEALTHY flight.

    Hi Albert

Yes, but the problem is even worse. from my search, it seems that most airlines insist on a negative PCR test regardless of any recovery.
The recovery certificate is still required when you have to declare that you recently had covid within the last 3 months.

If so, they must then see a recovery certificate to protect themselves against any potential liability to other passengers.

One example is qatar airways will only accept passengers at least 14 days after any infection, and with a negative PCR test,

At present it appears that i will be ok flying with Thai. The guy I spoke to in Thai airways bangkok was most helpful.

    Keep my fingers crossed

Isn't this more or less the same i am saying ?

you check in and enter on 3 shots you had and pcr test, not on recovery certificate, which thailand doesn't recognise at all.

Airline policies don't have anything to do with your entry - probably thai airways info is misleading.

If you can't get recovery certificate from nhs, you can ask them for anything related to your infection. Surely you should have a dated copy of results with positive, which will prove your infection as much as recovery certificate. Maybe even a picture of your recent medical record from the doctor'c computer screen.

Maybe also there is nhs smartphone application or log in to your patient account on their website which would have some info.

I would rather not show it on arrival in thailand but kept it as a back up in case you turn positive the next day.

Than it's up to health authorities - they might tell you to isolate at home for some days, depending when your infection was first detected and when you finished isolation.

The problem being recovered from Covid is that the pcr test still could show positive so any airline will deny boarding without a recovery certificate.

PROBLEM is that the web site for the payment on line of the PCR test does not work properly.

my hotel confirmed that that website, www.thailandpsas.com IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY

but the hotel cannot complete the payment for me.

so prectically there is no way now to apply for thailand pass in phuket sandbox, and

they will not even let you know about it in advance, only after you send

your application you will be notified that "Thailand Pass system has rejected your registration due to Please upload an RT-PCR receipt for your swab test at Phuket International Airport. You can book and pay at https://www.thailandpsas.com/"

but no, you CANNOT PAY at https://www.thailandpsas.com/"

    Maybe at //www.thailandPAS.com/"

Perhaps it will surprise you but Thailand is an export country.  The yearly volume is some $200 billion,  that cannot be shipped per internet but has to be loaded on ships, some also onto airplanes.

Currently, there is a global problem with free volume of oversee vessels sailing out of Asia, part of it also from Thailand, waiting list 1 - 2 months.  And that despite of the high prices, about 4 -5 times higher than 2 - 3 years ago.

What is shipped from Thailand is loaded on small feeder ships sailing to Singapore where the containers are reloaded on large vessels sailing to US West and East Coast, also to Europe. That reloading is with quite a substantial delay, currently even much more increased delay since the volume of the ships coming from China is not always available for the Thai containers.

And there are only few shipping lines with smaller sea vessels sailing out of Bkk ports directly to US East Coast and to Europe via Suez.  Considering these facts, there surely could be a niche for some new shipping lines that would bypass Singapore.

So, if you would get informed yourself about the current shipping situation - not only in Thailand - you could hardly ask such a silly question as you did above, could you?

You don't have to teach me about this subject, I've been working all my life on ships and in shipping but to me it seems you are taking things to serious.

Trade from Thailand is not only containers, it also consist of bulk for instance tapioca is shipped in bulkers of 100 - 150,00 tons.

Thailand use to have their own shipping line shipping this cargo we even repaired some of them. The fleet was old and rusty and not maintained properly that's why they disappeared because in nearly every West European port the vessels were arrested by the authorithies due to technical defects.

Besides you need a marine history and background which doesn't exist in Thailand, showing off in a fancy uniform with a lot of gold on it is not enough to keep a fleet going.

That explains my question because insurance premium for cargo shipped on Thai ships will be pretty high.
