  1. I've never flown international from Phuket but I will soon...do they have immigration fast track lanes for arrival/departure at Phuket International Airport?
  2. Okay...thanks for that. I haven't flown long-haul international for about 5 years. I have a flight to the States on Tuesday, however.
  3. Yes I saw the pics of those San Francisco Twitter liberals licking their new master's boots (the man who moved Tesla's headquarters out of California to Texas because the state is too woke) ????????????????
  4. Gadde was Twitter's top lawyer and general counsel and the reports are that she personally was the one who made the decision to permanently ban a president of the United States from this social media platform. (While the Twitter account of the President of Iran, as an example, is still allowed.)
  5. I took it to mean he was going to throw out (fire) everyone but the bathroom sinks ????????????
  6. It looks like Vijaya Gadde is the one who's been suspended permanently! "He who laughs last...laughs best."
  7. It was a nice gig while it lasted...but with 11 billion in additional debt on its books and billions in interests payments annually, I don't think the new private owners will put up with this much longer...
  8. Reports are that Elon plans to fire up to 75% of the staff...looks like San Francisco's homeless population is set for a big jump.
  9. As the saying goes...a fish rots from the head first; good on Elon for lancing the wound on his first day in the corner suite.
  10. Can't wait for President Trump to be invited back on to the new non-partisan @Twitter; and if liberals have a problem with free speech on Ver.2.0 of the platform, they can go start their own social media network (I hear Parler is for sale) ????????????
  11. Why do they need anonymity...gambling, smoking, drinking, and being served by young "ladies" is legal in Macao ????
  12. What's the attraction for Chinese travelers of gambling in Thailand while smoking Chinese fags and drinking Chinese liquor (served by Chinese wenches), when they can just go to Macao ????
  13. Maybe try a bank branch in the bigger town down the road.
  14. Yes this is true...the question was regarding business class passengers. I'd be curious to know what they mean by "Long Stay"...would this include those on yearly visa extensions ????
  15. The headline is a bit misleading...the proposed road is apparently on Forest Department land and they have to approve the road (which they have declined in the past).
  16. I'm sure the taxi mafia was out in force to meet them (and beat up any "unauthorized" drivers who had the temerity to show up and earn a fare).
  17. Generally flying business class gets you a Fast Track Lane pass. (The airlines buy them for their passengers. I've never flown an international business class flight without getting one...including EVA Air). The airline will give you the pass at check-in for departure and usually on the plane for entry.
  18. Few non-Thais have worn masks in Phuket for over a year, except in places where it was required. The Thais do seem quite attached to their masks, however, and will probably wear them for the foreseeable future.
  19. And don't forget, the cross-over mountain road from Kata to Chalong is also undergoing repairs from a washout a year or two ago (again commenced during monsoon season). I wonder what the recent heavy rains have done to this "repair." If that goes, it will be down to single lane each way on the north lanes or the long route over the mountain to Rawai and up Chao Fa to central Phuket and beyond.
  20. Re-reading the report, it was a large land/rock slide onto the road (up to car size boulders). Traffic blocked or reduced to one lane.
  21. Torrential rains more or less all day yesterday (Wednesday) so not surprised at all the flooding. The roads going out though is going to be a major headache for those living in affected areas. So far this morning, only scattered showers and little rain overnight, however, forecast is for more rain for a few more days. Apparently we've had double the amount of rain so far this month than a "normal" October.
  22. I may have read the road from Kamala to Patong has collapsed too. May just have to take the southern route through Chalong around the Buddha mountain to Kata and then up to Patong.
