Well if you are going to go and party during a pandemic outbreak, there isn’t much to complain about really.

Thai authorities need to package and sell their secret formula to defeating all strains of covid. One of the few countries in the world who can contain the UK variant in such a short time with no major restrictions. TIT, well done.
Just package up the Czar and send him to countries of concern.

Never seen so many people waiting in front of the hospitals... and yes a lot testing means a lot of cases. All over the world you can find on internet is about 1 out of 10 is positive...In my province 1 day 42 next day 9 it seems there is something not well and everybody know that these low numbers are not correct
Truly amazing how the numbers are going down now the Czar is in charge.
Stand to attention please. The Czar must not lose face.

Thank you General Prayut. As soon as you became the Covid Czar, the numbers started dropping. Even the virus shows you respect.

The miracles are beginning...
It's the good General....the Covid Czar. A mix of Gandhi and Jesus.

The General was also in charge on all those days when the numbers were rising.
But he wasn't the Covid Czar then

Of course the numbers are going down (nudge nude wink wink). The good General is in charge now and we can't have him looking incompetent can we.

I was wondering if this is the explanation.
Things have gone from good to really, really bad. It doesn't take a genius to see where things are heading from here. A bizarre move giving one person complete power over an upcoming complete and inevitable disaster seems like a potential scapegoat setup. Of course he'd be too powerhungry to refuse any opportunity to hold more power, and that lust would blind him to any potential plans, even if it was a case of taking responsibility for impending doom.
Interesting point.

Magic Thailand strikes again... only in Thailand it seems does this virus manage to take a break once in a while, chill out and slow down it's never ending spread to other people. Other countries must be looking on in awe of the magic of Thai people and the Thai govt
Truly Amazing!
It's not the Thai people or the Thai government in general. It is the General himself who has the magical skills to save us all.

Based on my own scientific understanding of vaccines, I'd choose the Sputnik V one. It is available in Laos (donated by Russia), but right now AZ is the vaccine on offer to my group (60+ years).
I think the AZ is available to under 60s as well. The wife's friend is in Vientiane and managed to get the first jab.

Findings of heart inflammation.
Thanks. Just did a quick search. Seems like it is 1 in 100,000 people. I’ll take my chances I reckon.

Better recheck on the Pfizer. I was counting on it but now there seems to be a problem here also.
What's the problem with the Pfizer?

What if you urgently need one and the lines are busy?
That was my first thought. I have some other emergency but the lines are clogged up with COVID.

Or they may punt and go for a short term, relatively insignificant bump and alienate and drive off their future clientele. But I'd hope the hospital marketing departments are smarter than that.
My guess is this.

Used the initial lockdown to implement strong policies for outbreaks and got the teams and systems in place for for contact tracing and immediately implement sharp lockdowns for short durations when small outbreaks have occurred giving the contact tracing teams time to respond and isolate all known contacts.
It helps when you have a small population and are far away on an island.
