    Not about you solely. There's lots of people with fairly extreme views on this site that I don't see in my normal life. It's full on if you think about it. What's a little bit odd on this site is highly odd in Australia as you know.

    One example is that sometimes , say, a supporter of strange right wing things, or conspiracy things, or god things, will make 6 dubious or illogical claims in a post. One can take a few paragraphs to respond, attempting to not be totally dismissive, but showing one has addressed the issues raised. I don't meet people with these opinions in real life. 

    I work in a job where I have to argue things logically so, in the past, a 10 minute break from that, to reply to such a post that might have ended up a bit long,  is something to do.

    At one time I thought maybe you can change that mind, or a different reader's mind,  but soon you see them make the same type of conclusions the next day and you realise there is no point and short replies will suffice. Better still don't bother and have a walk in the sun.

    Do you believe that the person in the video can leave his body for 3 days and perform miracles, or believe in the possibility of it, or neither. If you do surely there can be clear scientific proof for that i.e. there may be some subjective experiences where you feel science in 2024 can't go but there should be evidence for that type of thing.

    Yes Trump is an idiot and a political incompetent and is extremely brash and rude at times. But the reason so many Americans voted for him, and will again, is because he speaks out against the Democrat Party and how it is trearing down the American values and all the PC rubbish they hate.  The biggest reason he won in 2016 was because Clinton was clearly guilty of breaking several laws and she got away with it right in front of the American people - they had enough of that going on and turned to Trump as a change.

     

    Now it is even worse, as shown by the evidence that is becomming evident that the 2020 election was less than 'pure and honest'.  Yes Trump should have done what Al Gore did when he lost due to some clear 'anomolies' in the results in Florida, but as I said he is an idiot and he is very politically 'unaware'.  But to only see Trump's faults (and there are many), and to see no faults in the Biden administration, and to only believe the Democrat and media mates driven fabrications like Russiagate and an Insurrection etc etc etc, has resulted in a complete breakdown in by-partisanship in American politics. 

     

    Hopefully Trump wins, tears down the far left swamp and all the PC rubbish, and then after 4 years the American people become more 'moderate' and elect a more 'central' POTUS that hopefully both the Democrats and Republicans will nominate. Trump will then become a part of American history - and seen as a response to the far left woke progressive lunacy that had taken over US politics, but not something that they want to see continue after he had done the job he was elected to do. 

     

    Putting aside the  concerns about the 2020 election, which hopefully you can acknowledge are extremely tenuous at best, you say you go for Trump because Democrats are too woke and politically correct and are tearing down the values you hold dear. Are there 5 Biden policies you can point too that are woke -  preferably that would  affect your life if you were in America. This is Biden policies not some obscure Democrat with no power.

    The only area I can see as a bit wokish is with the border control but that's been an issue with both sides. One side talking the talk but happy I think with cheap labour. 

    But what are these overwhelming Biden woke policies that make you turn to a doofus like Trump.

    So if I spend say 3 months in Thailand from Australia how I can I use and benefit from Revolut. Can I put money in it and then use it to pay for things in Thailand in thai baht I assume. Is the advantage that the transfer rate is better - I have an Australian card with no fees for foreign transactions and the Mastercard transfer rate which is good so not sure why I would use this. Can I access cash at ATM's. Don't need help with savings plans or travel insurance etc. Free credit card travel insurance for three month trips. Not sure how I would use it.

    For me it's not saying he's going to be Stalin killing each and every critic. Not that extreme. It's a trend though towards Trump looking to dismantle checks and balances, removing the smart people in the room and putting in loyalists, continuing to degrade the independence and trustworthiness of elections, letting autocrats around the world do as they see fit and in fact supporting them and calling them strong, etc etc. Doing things that are not in the best interests of the country but best interests of keeping him in power. 

    Some here will say - those smart people in the room are the deep state, or elections are not fair because I saw this youtube video, or those autocrats are not so bad and at least they are not woke. Or you need to watch this right wing unfact checked media to know the truth. They say what is fact checking anyway if the fact checkers are part of the deep state or some left wing alliance. 

    At some point you gotta let people believe what they want. In my opinion  no politicians are perfect or have 100 per cent good intentions but you have to differentiate between better and worse and Trump has shown he is clearly far at the worse end.

    Mau had the sense to get out, and so far has manged to stay out.

    Belief in god on a good day, is somewhat hand in hand with bringing people together, a reason to care about each other and the future, a sense of community because we are all in this together under god. Admitting we are not as strong and independent as we might like and need help from time to time. A reason to try to be good. 

    All this can be had without a belief in god but such factors are part of a belief in an ideal world.  Your belief may be different - you feel you found god and now you believe and that's it. I don't believe - who knows maybe that actually helps to be humane and see what is and a belief in god takes you away from that.

    I think it would be very uncomfortable and after five minutes pretty boring. You ever watch a Trump rally rather than the supposed highlights - that is a boring man. Biden is no entertainer either. 

    Trump will bring out his greatest hits and then it will be if Biden can be lucid enough to point out his successes and his opponents flaws. He's been good at that in the past - focusing on the risk that Trump brings. Once we see if Biden is up to a 2020 type performance it will probably be pretty flat from there in my opinion.
