I dont need to look at the ambulance services in Thailand. If I see emergency lights or hear sirens or both then I do what most people would do and get out of the way at the earliest opportunity. I most certainly don’t conduct a survey on whether it’s an actual emergency or not before making my decision to move.
-
I stand by my comment. It is not for you or anyone else for that matter to determine the business of any ambulance displaying flashing lights or sounding sirens. Just move out of the way and do not impede its journey.

And you know that how exactly? It is not up to you to determine the urgency of an ambulance. If you see the lights flashing or hear the sirens then just damn well move and let the ambulance be on its way. Its hard to take you seriously after such an idiotic comment.

Pink I.D Card & Yellow Book
Utalk2mutt replied to Bangkok Black's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Got mine yesterday. In my Amphur the requirement was to be married (Amphur Si Bun Rueang, Province Nong Bua Lamphu). Married a month ago requirements were to provide my marriage certificate, passport, translations from the British Embassy of my passport and a copy of the affidavit to say I could legally marry ( why as I am already married?). Amphur then gave me a form which I had to take to my local Immigration office. On this form were various questions which Immigration needed to answer and then send back to my Amphur. No idea what was being asked. Took Immigration about 2 weeks to do this documentation and get it to my Amphur (no monetary charge for this). Amphur then contacted me and all was completed yesterday. As others have said in some Amphurs there is no requirement to even be married. I would also add that it is likely some Amphurs would require a lot more documentation while others less after all this is Thailand. -
Drunk Driver Causes Multiple Vehicle Collision in Pattaya
Utalk2mutt replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
You been on the sauce yourself? You already knew it would be “lowlife local males”, “way too many of them round here” “what are they doing here anyway”. Well here’s a clue they are Thai, they live here as this is their country and had you bothered to read the article you would know that the alleged drunk was actually female. Quite clearly you see yourself as a bit of a part time super sleuth seriously I would quit if I was you. -

Go to bed about 22.30-23.00 up every day without fail at 04.30-0500. I wish I could lie in but the body clock just says get yer ass outta bed. Been this way for years.

I have rented twice. The first time a condo in Bangkok and the deposit for the two months was 12000 baht every baht was returned to me. The second time was a townhouse in Khon Kaen. The 2 month deposit of 16000 baht the landlord claimed he was keeping. I had caused a bit of damage by accidentally put my foot through a glass door as it had come off its runners and I was trying to tap it back onto them as a result the glass broke. I was happy to pay fair wear and tear damage and thought 4000 baht was enough so said I wanted 12000 baht back. He was adamant to the point of getting aggressive and I would not back down. He was told that he needs to get himself to the local tax office as I was going there with all my contracts and receipts of payments to him and he can explain to them why he wasn’t paying them the required tax on renting the property. He panicked and guess what I got 12000 baht back.

After such an awful tragedy I will be happy when the driver and the owner are held properly accountable. Running from the incident is absolutely abhorrent cowardly behaviour and then the owner getting caught removing gas cylinders on his other buses (trying to save his neck)just shows he knew that what he was doing was highly illegal in the first place. These two must be sent down for life and life to mean exactly that. Neither deserves any kind of mercy. May all those that have lost their lives RiP.

Thailand’s Aviation Set to Soar Amid Rapid Travel Revival
Utalk2mutt replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
“ Ready to soar” certainly doesn’t mean it’s going to. Do the right thing and correctly adjust your prices in a downward direction and that would certainly help but I’m not holding my breath. This is Thailand I’ll wait for the price increase instead. -

Happened to me about 9 years ago after she cheated. Couldn’t wait to see the back of her or the damn ring to be honest. I view it as very lucky escape…next!!! -

Hmm interesting questions. I married her because I’m in my view a completely stable relationship and I’m not getting any younger. I see her as everything I could ask for in a partner and I wanted to seal the deal and protect her financially should I pop my clogs. I have no family and would rather she benefit from my death than anyone else. Yes I do think my relationship now I’m married to be the same. I made the decision to marry I was not coerced if it all goes tits up then so be it. No one knows what’s around the next corner and many of the strongest of marriages have failed, a risk maybe but life is full of risks. She is also the kind of lady who has never been married before, has no children, has a career, brings money to the table and is 52 years old. I feel it’s right to give her a bit more security in her older years. She’s a good women and right for me. i think being married makes it better for her financially really I have no one to leave anything to so why shouldn’t she benefit she has already given me 7.5 very good years. I see no reason to believe the next 7.5+ won’t be equally as good. To be honest I have no fears where she is concerned and certainly don’t feel things might get worse.

I’m at Stage 4 without the desire to buy her things as she works and has her own money and I married her last week. Together 7.5 years I have never seen stages 2 and 3 but that’s not to say I won’t. I’m not naive enough to think those stages may never appear who knows? If they do however then I know where the door is.
