Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
placeholder replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
More intellectual dishonesty from you. Your misrepresentation was already pointed out to you. An earlier research paper based on the samples it had said CO2 levels haven't been as high for about 2.1 million years. That's as far back as the sample went. Another more recent research paper with access to a longer sample put the time back to 3.6 million years. Stop making things up. -

Anybody can call themselves anything they want. But it doesn't matter how what wing someone assigns themself to if the positions they take consistently contradict that self-assessment. -

They wouldn't be all that smart since re-glaciation wasn't projected to occur for another 20,000 years or so. -

So FBI agents with a warrant are now "armed intruders"? So, anytime law enforcement officers show up at someone's home with a warrant, it's OK to shoot them? -
Even if that claim about an official acts are true, you would have to prove that Joe Biden acted in such a way. The Republicans desperately tried to get Devon Archer to testify that Hunter Biden had brought Joe Biden to Ukraine to put pressure on Ukraine to fire Viktor Shokin to benefit Burisma. . First off, Archer stated repeatedly that Hunter Biden had nothing to do with Joe Biden coming to Ukraine. He said Hunter Biden tried to create the perception that it was due to him in order to impress the management at Burisma. But wait..it gets worse. pages 10-11 https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Devon-Archer-Transcript.pdf Archer also testified that management that various members of the company told him that the firing of Shokin was actually bad for Burisma because the Burisma CEO had Shokin under control. page 38 https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Devon-Archer-Transcript.pdf

And he pointed one of them at FBI agents? According to you pointing a gun equals "No freedom of speech in the USA. Dissent and be shot in your own home by the FBI." So pointing a gun at someone is now a form of dissent? It's protected free speech? -
Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election

Did you actually read the Daily Mail article? While he subhead claims "AG Merrick Garland 'feels pressure from White House to go after Trump for Jan "6" nothing in the Daily Mail article, or the New York Times article it draws from supports that claim. "Biden had 'said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events of Jan. 6,' the report stated. However it notes that he never expressed that specific sentiment to Garland himself, and has also frequently praised the top Cabinet official for his impartiality. " So, nothing in that article about the White House or Biden himself putting pressure on Garland. Nothing. It's the kind of falsehood, one would expect from the Daily Mail.. And, in fact, the private frustration of Biden and the open frustration of the Democrats in Congress with Garland's caution and punctiliousness speak well of Garland's management of the Justice Dept. investigation. -

More nonsense from you. The 3.6 million year study was done recently the 2.1 million year study was from a while ago. They were looking at different samples. -

I typed this into google: "CO2 levels are at their highest in 2 million years" And voila! Carbon Dioxide Higher Today Than Last 2.1 Million Years https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/06/090618143950.htm I also found this: Carbon dioxide levels are now higher than at anytime in the past 3.6 million years https://research.noaa.gov/2021/04/07/despite-pandemic-shutdowns-carbon-dioxide-and-methane-surged-in-2020/ -
What is seeping out? I remember all the excitement on the right when Devon Archer's upcoming testimony was announced. How it was going to nail Joe Biden. As it turns out, Archer said over and over again, Hunter Biden was trying to make it look like he had influence over Joe Biden's actions but really had none. He said over and over that Joe Biden never discussed business at all, zero, nada, zip when Hunter Biden put him on speakerphone. Again, at those 2 dinners, Archer testified that absolutely no business topic was broached. Republicans questioning him tried time and again to get something new out of Archer which would incriminate Joe Biden. They failed.

You need to stop offering counterfactual suppositions of some kind of relevant argument. -
Who knows? Maybe there is bias and corruptoin in the FBI after all. Comey Was ‘Concerned’ NY FBI Officials Were Leaking Info to Rudy Giuliani Former FBI Director James Comey told House investigators that he was “concerned” about FBI officials in the bureau’s New York field office leaking information about the Hillary Clinton email probe to Rudy Giuliani. “I was concerned that there appeared to be in the media a number of stories that might have been based on communications reporters or non-reporters like Rudy Giuliani were having with people in the New York field office,” Comey said, according to a transcript released Saturday. “Mr. Giuliani was making statements that appeared to be based on his knowledge of workings inside the FBI New York.” Comey said he asked for an investigation but was fired before it could be completed. https://www.thedailybeast.com/comey-was-concerned-ny-fbi-officials-were-leaking-info-to-rudy-giuliani Disgraced FBI official who probed Trump-Russia ties set to plead guilty to illegally working for Russian oligarch Disgraced FBI agent Charles McGonigal — who investigated the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Moscow in 2016 — is slated to take a guilty plea in the case accusing him of illegally working for a Russian oligarch. “The court has been informed that defendant Charles McGonigal may wish to enter a change of plea,” Manhattan federal Judge Jennifer Rearden wrote in a brief order filed Monday, scheduling a hearing for Aug. 15. McGonigal, 54, — a former top FBI counterintelligence agent based in New York — was indicted in January on charges including money laundering and violating US sanctions by working for Russian billionaire and business magnate Oleg Deripaska, including trying to get him taken off of the US sanctions list. https://nypost.com/2023/08/07/ex-fbi-official-slated-to-plead-guilty-in-corruption-case/

As far as past temperatures go, you seriously need to acquaint yourself with that branch of science called paleoclimatology. And I've already called you on your nonsense about correlation. -

First off, thanks for the lack of links. That always inspires confidence. Here's some evidence with a link provided as well. Global Temperature Reconstruction Over Last 24,000 Years Show Today’s Warming “Unprecedented” The study, published Wednesday (November 10, 2021) in Nature, has three main findings: It verifies that the main drivers of climate change since the last ice age are rising greenhouse gas concentrations and the retreat of the ice sheets. It suggests a general warming trend over the last 10,000 years, settling a decade-long debate the paleoclimatology community about whether this period trended warmer or cooler. The magnitude and rate warming over the last 150 years far surpasses the magnitude and rate of changes over the last 24,000 years. https://scitechdaily.com/global-temperature-reconstruction-over-last-24000-years-show-todays-warming-unprecedented/ As for that graph. It doesn't indicate what year it ends at. It clearly doesn't show the sharp rise of the past 40 years.. The idea that the mid holocene was warmer has been laid to rest. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-020-0530-7 https://www.rutgers.edu/news/important-climate-change-mystery-solved-scientists And I've saved the worst for last: "There is a perfrect correlation between the per capita spending on cheese and died being hung in their own bedsheets. This idea that somehow that correlations human made carbon emission with climate change is just as spurious. It is a correlation, not a proven correlation. " If you can come up with a scientifically based mechanism for how bedsheets can affect climate, then you've made a great point. Do I really need to explain to you what the mechanism for how carbon emissions and other other emissions affect the climate? Are you truly unaware of the science about the issue dating all the way back to the 19th century? If so, I would be glad to acquaint you with a bit of the history. -
This amounts to a confession that they've got no "smoking gun". And it ookd like that gun is only loaded with blanks.
