What I find interesting is that the UK and other countries allow their own citizens within their country who choose not to get vaccinated to roam the streets free as birds, yet if their own citizens wishing to return from abroad have had some kind of vaccinations like you say Sinovac followed by AZ (something better than nothing), they have to quarantine for 14 days.
Bureaucracy at it's best.
Edit: Not to mention, that the airlines will accept you as vaccinated and transport you all the way to the UK, so it's ok to travel on airlines vaccinated, but the UK government not recognising you if you had a shot of the Chinese vax which is approved by the WHO, sounds politically motivated if you ask me.
There seems to be doubt about the effectiveness of the Sinovac vaccine.

Thailand really needs free trade with China?
Wouldn't that be a more or less one-way street?
Maybe it might be wise to pen a clause into the agreement that for every 100 baht import from China there must be a 100 baht export to China.
Don't think China will agree to that.

On what grounds were they condemned by two or three courts and on what grounds were they released as clearly not guilty or no case.

Does Thailand really has a need for a Chinese strategical rail connection to China, built by Chinese, owned and exploited by China and competing with the existing Thai rail system?
Chances are very high this connection to China will never be profitable, but only strategic.
For China.

Thailand is for Thais.
Always amazes me that people here think a country should just welcome and appreciate you. Sorry this isn't hippy land America.
Thailand is for Thais?
Really?
You could fool me.
I think Thailand will slowly but surely be bought up by China.

These Thai Lawyers would have been more believable if they had dared to go to court against China, the originator of the Wuhan virus.
Politicians, loved or unloved, had to rely on "experts".
And there is the problem, the experts didn't know sh*t.
All over the world people blame politicians, blame China!!!!!

I for one would rather see this disgraceful government do an entire nose dive tank leaving them no choice but to run away fully disgraced before any more of my money goes to help them look as saviors bailing this country out. Those bonds are a joke, and no way would I also support their joint venture railway with the CRCC.
And replace it with????????
You think that would be better?
Joke......

Well perhaps this government will finally get what it's incompetence and corruption was surely only ever going to achieve. Massive infection of the rural poor that they and the elite have always despised.
Can you name any government in any country that takes care of the poor?
Don't you agree that most governments, if not all, are working for the "elite" and only do a bit cosmetic juggling for the poor?
The same elite that despises all those not being "elite".

Maybe it is time the government just forces the private hospitals to help cope with the Wuhan virus problems?

Just a chance of a first dose would be a good start please, pretty please, AZ is fine for now, I can pay for the better stuff later.
AZ good for now, wait for the better stuff?
What might the better stuff be?
The more expensive shots, maybe?
You think dearer is better?
Or maybe the Chinese vaccins?
Or Sputnik?
The Jansen jab, AZ are direct competitors for Moderna and Pfizer, strange we only hear about complications from Jansen and AZ, never about the very expensive US vaccins, and no they are not better, only much more expensive.
I opt for the following:
1. Jansen (1 jab only necessary)
2. Astra Zenica
3 Pfizer or Moderna
To fortify your body against the complications of the Wuhan virus:
Vitamin D
Pneumovax-23 vaccination
Prevnar-13 vaccination.

I would believe anything is possible when tin pot soldiers run a country for it's own ends.
Do some research and enjoy the "mistakes' made by governments from countries all over the world in dealing with and storing of data.
How would you call these governments?
And surely you don't think the "leaders" of your own country are doing things for you?
-
Why is it we only seem to hear bad messages about Astra Zenica and Jansen, and it seems never hear anything bad about the US vaccins?

No that 3000 was estimate for the drug cost! A low estimate so price headroom is left for Pfizer.
Also clinic fee , PPE surcharge and mandatory "insurance" for so called side effects
Had a pneumovax-23 vaccination in BKK hospital, price 2200 baht..
It came out 312 baht cheaper as the same jab in the Netherlands.
Wife bought a package of Pneumovax-23 and Prevnar-13 for 3500 baht, not a bad deal either.
Prices include everything.

How, as the Chinese can only move so much money out of the country without landing in prison themselves.
Never heard about the Chinese "transfer union"?
You bring your money to a local guy in China, merrily journey elsewhere and collect your deposit minus a hefty fee from another guy.
Worked for hundreds of years, Inside China and worldwide.

Do I miss my home country?
After 16 years living in Thailand and not visiting there, I can say no, I don't miss my home country.
However, lately, I wonder if Thailand was my best choice, maybe I should have gone elsewhere in Asia.

Using the term “standard price” makes it sound like everyone gets the same ordinary low price.
in fact, I imagine that one of the primary concerns of the association members, was to avoid a price war where members under cut each other in order to gain market volume.
charging a “ standard price” prevents any hospital under cutting others, thereby protecting profits for all. So a cartel.
personally I don’t care, I shut my eyes to these kinds of practices in Thailand long ago.if I want something I just pay the set price, if I don’t want it, then I don’t. I will pay for a vaccine of my choice whether it’s 1k, 3k, or 5k. I need it to eventually travel again, so no choice.
These kind of practises are common in the private healthcare business.
Yes, also in Europe and the US.
