If you do the third option please do not take off all your clothes on board as you may not reach your destination ????
Perhaps I should do it mid-way when we're closer to Bangkok that way the Pilot turns on the turbo engines to reach Bangkok faster....
I'm sure everyone aboard would appreciate getting home a lot quicker.

Just bought a ticket from Phuket to Bangkok and paid for an additional 20kg... so total 40kg.
However, I have between 45-50kg with me (returning home, in Phuket Sandbox at the moment) my backpack is already full so no space there.
Their phone support has a pre-recorded message saying to use their EVA chat which is a automated bot support which just leads to the add-on page (already bought extra 20kg).
Reading their FAQ some pages say if you need more than 40kg make sure it's 32kg max per luggage (which I read prior to booking) & now reading another page which says 40KG is max per person.
Is there a way to reach customer support via phone? Or is there a way to go about this...
Thanks

How about start by eliminating unnecessary basic stuff:
- 90-Day Reporting
- Unnecessary Paperwork
- Farang Prices
- Similar basics
Nobody, not only people with money, like unnecessary inconveniences especially TIME-WASTING STUFF.
Solve problems at level 1 before moving to level 2.
The basics are more annoying than high-level complex stuff (which generally can be done by a lawyer with minimal work involved from the wealthy foreigner).

One final question... Four Points OR Doubletree in Patong?
And would they be serving the good stuff at four points

I'm in Patong Beach and very happy about it.
The only problem before in Patong was it been overcrowded, and now I have empty beaches, many open restaurants and also bars open at night in Bangla Road until 23:00.
OK, they are supposed to be restaurants, but they are same venues as before and plenty of bargirls (oops, I suppose that now they are restaurantgirls). "Hellooooo, sexy maaaaan".
I don't know if food is served, but plenty of beer.
Wooo nice to know they're open late too - I'm solo in Phuket for this sandbox so just trying to stay in as of a social place as possible at Patong is what I went with. Thanks for the intel everyone.

I stayed at the Doubletree Hilton for my sandbox. Great location on Patong beach, fast wifi, and excellent English speaking management. There are plenty of restaurants open just a few minutes walk on the beach road. I paid in the low 20k baht for the 14 day stay including tax/fee/breakfast. Contact them directly for some special sandbox rates on WhatsApp at https://bit.ly/3wmExp0 or by email at [email protected]
There is an active Sandbox facebook page with lots of information about different hotel options and COE advice: https://www.facebook.com/groups/388875605677294
Woul you recommend Patong beach or was it completely dead?
Looking to stay at Patong beach area.

Hi,
I understand everything is dead. Few months ago I stayed at Kamala Beach and it seemed busier than most places.
What would the best place be right now?
Is Kata beach any busier than it was before?

Damn I'm in a dilemma... go back to Bangkok Oct 1 or go to Istanbul instead and then do Bangkok around Nov 1?
Have to choose one.

You probably need to add if you are enquiring about marketing to a Thai audience or international audience.
Good point. The primary purpose would be for the Thai market.
Perhaps a question for both audiences then as we'd love to setup base for both our international brands & Thai brands.

Good facebook ads video editors, influencer marketers, web-designers, product research/sourcing, customer support etc.
People who have hired full-time staff in Thailand for digital marketing agencies/ecom: how did you find your experience and the employee quality?
Thanks in advance.

We're an ecommerce agency looking for a law firm looking ideally for a one-stop-shop for our new venture in Thailand.
We already have a registered business & visa stuff sorted.
We're looking for a law firm who can take care of anything legal-related for ex now would be to import a medical device.
In the future it may be to write up contracts between two parties. Random legal stuff we'd experience running a business in Thailand.
SiamLegal is our #1 option right now but curious what your suggestions are?

After my 2nd shot for 2 days I felt physically exhausted/drained... no energy, mental fog, no motivation etc. Took those 2 days as chill days.

Sorry, my knowledge is just 10+ years of ecommerce (seems your is bigger).
We run an ecom agency fulltime
Amazing Creative + Broad Targeting
FB gives you the targeting right away, even if smaller audiences you select multiple audiences individually and test which are good. Not sure what research would do 1 month to pick whether to do "back pain" "pain reliever" or "old age" - you test all 3, scale winners remove losers.
We are probably talking abotu two seperate thing.

- Do Thais buy heavily from FB Ads? - yes, but need define a correct audience (up to 1 month to research)
- Would selling directly on our site work? - yes but you need Google 1st page visibility (over 6 months to establish)
- Does customer pay shipping or we do - free shipping is the rule of thumb
- What if we skip Shopee/Lazada? - those marketplace are difficult to start selling, same like a google (over 6 months to establish decent presence in search results). So yes, feel free to skip
- Do Thais opt-in for subscription based services? - more likely no than yes
Thanks for the answer however with all due respect the information about 1 month to research for the FB Ad audience is far from the truth.
Selling directly on site via FB ads is rather quick than 6 months, and SEO depending on keyword can take yes, 2-6+ months. more competitive keywords = longer and more $$ required.
Only reason I correct the above is because people stumble upon these threads after searching on Google for their own knowledge.

But how will they make it appear as a busy airport with only a few flights to fill up 4-5 massive screens!
Should just remove everything except flights that are actually scheduled... not scheduled 1 year ago.
Hopefully sooner than later the board goes from "Cancelled cancelled cancelled" to "scheduled scheduled scheduled" for international flights.
-
Also wanted to update.. I saw a Qatar flight last night took off with no problems, seems they're still flying normal

It is if you fly through Doha, so I suspect the OP is not going to the UK.
Correct - flying BKK -> Doha -> Los Angeles
So far the US only banned India and a few other countries. Even Indonesia seems to be allowed and their cases are a lot worse.

Well, the flight I was on Sunday night from Doha to BKK had 35 passengers. They can’t continue to operate with that kinda payload. So, I would suspect less flights sooner rather than later.
When I arrived start of year I think it was only me in biz class and like 2-3 in economy... Qatar has been known (& takes pride) in the fact that they continued to fly even at low numbers to help transport people. But yah, wouldn't be surprised if they cut it to like 1 flight a week or so... just after Thursday please lol.

i saw on the news yesterday that europe (theEU) will not allow anymore visitors from thailand.
Not sure about the details.
in this case, airlines will start cancell flights, if because of the new rules and if because there are
no passengers.
thailand changed from green country, one of the few that were allowed into EU, to red country, level 3.
Oh boy... I really hope I make it on Thursday before the US or Qatar puts Thailand as a not-allowed country.

The link you provided does show some international departures , some already departed and some scheduled to depart .
It seems like there's many cancellations , but those cancellations were scheduled before Covid and got cancelled last year
In that case, would it still show all those flights and say "cancelled" on the 5-6 big screens at the airport?
I noticed in the video there was a flight to Doha today cancelled...
I'd imagine they would just put the actual flights suppose to happen and not flights scheduled for today 1 year ago?

I'm suppose to fly via Doha this Thursday at 9:15 PM... I understand domestic flights are cancelled but why does it show international flights as cancelled too?
https://suvarnabhumi.airportthai.co.th/flights
I called Qatar Airways and they said the flight is in "confirmed" status and all good so far... but on the official airport site it shows all Qatar flights (& many international) all "Cancelled". Doesn't show my particular flight as it's not today... but still shows others as cancelled?
I saw my friend's IG story at the airport show the flight leaderboard all showing "cancelled"
Confused...

So we ARE on lockdown then even if the government will not admit it ......
Actually it seems technically it's not a law but rather a suggestion...
I have a flight at 9 PM this week and was wondering what's gonna happen... I emailed Thai Elite about it and they said there is no curfew but it's rather a suggested (This was last week, not sure about these new updates).
But yes, all shops close and wouldn't doubt if a cop may give you problems even if it's not "law".
