Not in Wang Tan, cloudy-ish with sunny spells, no precipitation in sight....

good job they weren't doing that in Chiang Mai, they would have been arrested for not having work permits!

funny you should say that, actually, none of us were impressed last time we ate there, so, scratch that on from the list

HI....
haven't been there for a while, but a pleasant place to hang out, little bamboo place with a shop house restaraunt behind it (Benmore shots 32 bt).
Owner is a friendly chap known as MR Ben! It's in the row of shops on the left before the Royal Flora junction...
A little further on is Yummee Pizza hosted by Mr Toni, he has a great live music jam night on Wednesday evenings..... it's ion the grounds of the golf driving range there
A little further on is Doi Kham fish, good place to eat thai food... usually quite busy, but nice food....
all these are in the km before the Royal Flora turn.... I'll be wearing a red rose in my left lapel

The strong bathroom cleaner has 20% HCL ACID, I use that for cleaning stonewash etc... fizzes nicely so should do the trick!

Everybody's welcome, and a lovely location/staff as an added bonus to the great food.....

a sales brochure means nothing.
why are you so terrified about this clinic? Do you live next door?
why do you feel the need to destroy someones lively hood? people like you back in the west really annoy me, thinking you own the entire neighborhood and play neighborhood cop.
The whole Moo Baan is up in arms: Thais and farangs. Your answer here is not needed, thanks. And try spelling lively hood as livliehood. It's one word.

The alcohol excise tax on rice whiskey was increased from 120 baht a litre to 150 baht a litre based on alcohol content, and for blended liquor from 300 baht to 350 baht per litre. The tax on brandy increased to a maximum of 50 per cent from the existing rate of 48 per cent.
The new rate does not apply to beer or wine, which already face maximum taxes.
source : forbidden in here
so no price hike on beer ? the bars in town will be upset ! i bet they already planned to increase prices by 10bt as a 6bt rise would of been an odd number
Please could you explain how 6 would ever be an odd number????

What's missing?
A lack of foreigners.
Southern charm & hospitality.
Realistic prices on quality merchandise (all of Thailand).
Proper fish 'n chips shop (never going to happen).
Keely's at Mee Chok, as proper as proper including mushy peas

the only one I notice is the 7.15 one that usually wakes me, I think it's one of the One2go planes with twin engines on the tail that seem a lot louder then all the other airbusses

nope... not even in England!

Hmmm come and meet my wife, and answer you own question

had to read the post to see what it actually meant....
I'm guessing it's an American thing?

Lemon curd, Tate & Lyle's Golden syrup, fish cakes and fish fingers that don't cost an arm and a leg, (there's a joke in there somewhere !), Fisherman's Pies, Ainsley Harriott Shropshire pea cup-a-soup,
Proper pot noodles, like wot they sell in the UK.
Lemon curd is SOOOO easy to make Butter eggs sugar and lemons (or limes)

Baan Tawai...
no question

great topic...
I always used to nip into a Macdonalds when travelling abroad to use their services
(but NOT to eat) but that stopped after the last time I went in there... some dirty perv
had wa****d himself off against the door and I managed to get se***n on my trousers... Yuk.
Had to rush home and shower and throw them in the bin... so, be careful about being TOO cheap!

Sunday lunch at Yummy Pizza

It's funny, isn't it: I don't like going in there when Pedr's not there, feels kinda empty without that big friendly person behind the bar...

Did you not read up on the regulations before you took your Thai driving license test?

wasn't me, was it?

Seems to be Chinese Malays, and Taiwanese making up the majority of the tour busses at my local... AND they bend over backwards to keep them happy, Chinese food, Chinese music, chop sticks, lazy susans and a Chinese singer! Normal tip is 100baht
