The underlying crime was a campaign finance violation that Michael Cohen pled guilty to.
I welcome you to go troll the Department of Justice and tell them they are lying.

I am beginning to think that the prime US goal is degrade Russian capabilities, not necessarily have Ukraine win. So, letting Russia inch into Ukraine at a high cost in troops and equipment doesn't have a downside for the US.

Campaign finance violation is not an answer. Still Can't point to a statute. You lose. Even if you get a conviction it's going to be reversed on appeal. I just goes to show how low you're lot can sink. SHOW Trial

What was it?
High probability of conviction, low probability of a hung jury, zero probability of an acquittal.

Yeah, he overspent too. A sad habit that most presidents seem to have. But I will say that his worst pre-covid deficit was only about half of Biden's deficit last year. Any reason Biden needed to spend an extra trillion last year instead of trying to be at least a little prudent after the overspending that both he and Trump did during Covid?
Do you think that Trump's Unified Reich will fix the problem?

But why bother it's all over but the shouting. Let's see what the jury says because everybody with half a brain knows what an appeals court would say
Campaign finance violation.
You have asked the same question over and over, despite my answering the question.
Groundhog Day trolling. It doesn't work.

No the trial is for the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump personaly made or directed a false business entry in furtherance of another crime, which has never been named.
Michael Cohen pled guilty for the underlying crime.

At this point, who knows? "I was lying then , but not now" is a hard sell at the best of times.
You do know that lots of criminal associates flip on their bosses, it happens all the time.
Your posts indicate that this trial thing is all new to you.

So then you agree his trials are a farce.
You need to watch CNN more
My personal opinion is that Appeals courts generally offer relief, because if they didn't, the judges would be out of a job, due to lack of customers.

Nor is the prosecution's case. Notice how quiet it is in the echo chamber.
Almost time for this topic to die out anyway, Cohen is finished.
Costello goes on again tomorrow. Now that we know that Bragg knew and didnt prosecute Cohen for a felony wow.
Trump said today NY needs to be fixed. Now the stakes get high and the jJudge knows it. The case is already into about 9 reversible errors so:
1. Trump convicted, re-elected, reversed on appeal, special prosecutor to investigate all the violations of Federal Law, probably to include RICO based on civil rights violations, lawyer up Bragg, Fanny and Letitia, and dont think they wont squeal to save their skins.
2. Trump aquitted, relected, special prosecutor appointed to investigate all the violations of Federal Law, probably to include RICO based on civil rights violations, lawyer up Bragg, Fanny and Letitia, and dont think they wont squeal to save their skins.
3. Trump convicted defeated but reversed on appeal. they skate.
Place your bets.
I am actually agreeing with you.
I think Trump will get relief from a Court of Appeals for all of his convictions and fines.

"Clear the courtroom" is never good for the Defense when their witness tries to f**k with the judge.
This Costello loser maybe sealed the case for the Prosecution.
At this point, unless there is one crazy juror, Trump is done.

How do you know that those reviews are fake?
One is that some reviews are copies of earlier reviews, with the same photos.
Secondly, there are some items (18650 lithium batteries) that I know are counterfeit, but I buy them and test them to verify that they are fake, and I post my review with receipts (photos of the testing). But fake reviews are posted claiming that the counterfeits are real, and those reviews are then re-posted periodically.

More pork than a Jimmy Dean sausage. Plus the big infrastructure bill was only a little over $100 billion a year. Now the remaining 1.9 trillion?
Here's a radical idea- spend less, pay down the debt so that future generations aren't burdened.
Do you have any posts commenting on Trump's record budget deficit?

Its not so much Lazada as it is the dishonest and deliberately misleading vendors it allows on its platform - its extremely difficult for them to police the 1000's of such vendors.
I have been ripped off in similar instances in the past
- Purchasing a Metal Travel Cutlery set (during covid as I was sick being issued with plastic knives and forks during various quarantines while travelling) - I received what I'd ordered, but the size was only suitable for a child.
- Purchasing 'zip up boot bag' (to put dirty shoes and boots in while travelling) - ( the bag was only big enough to fit children's footwear).
While not specifically a scam, I suspect these vendors deliberately mislead the shopper - we have to be much more diligent and go to the reviews etc, then filter out the fake reviews - it gets to the point where we don't trust anything on the platform.
I am seeing a lot of fake reviews on Lazada, too.

No, I am talking about Biden STILL running a 1.7 trillion dollar deficit in 2023. And why was he spending $6.4 TRILLION in 2023 when Trump spent 'only' $4.4 Trillion in 2019. What is the US getting for that extra $2 trillion that it is worth mortgaging the future for?
The Inflation and Infrastructure projects come to mind.

I agree with Comey.
And like Comey, I am surprised how good a job the prosecution has done, and how bad Trump's defense has been.
My prediction: when and if Trump is tried for the other indictments, Todd Blanche won't be his lead attorney.

I saw another "misleading" item on Lazada today - a battery charger on sale for 69 baht.
But when I clicked on the image, it took me to a battery, not a charger. The 69 baht price was for the battery in the charger, not the pictured charger.

Fine Judge will be sure to say except.
I am talking about how normal people evaluate witnesses. If Cohen's allegations are corroborated by other witnesses and documents, the jurors won't simply dismiss them as lies.
A lot of cooperating witnesses have convictions for perjury and other crimes. So, prosecutors have to corroborate their testimony. It's very common.

Okay, I hope the "underlying crime" trolling is over.
The Defense will give it up tomorrow without having disproven any significant facts that Prosecution witnesses have alleged. That's usually bad for the Defense.
Truly, the best hope for Trump is that he got info on one of the jurors and has either threatened or bribed them to hold out for acquittal.
