Fine  Judge will be sure to say except.

I am talking about how normal people evaluate witnesses. If Cohen's allegations are corroborated by other witnesses and documents, the jurors won't simply dismiss them as lies.

A lot of cooperating witnesses have convictions for perjury and other crimes. So, prosecutors have to corroborate their testimony. It's very common.

But if jurors think Cohen lied about the content of the call with Schiller and about whether he spoke to Trump, they could begin to doubt other aspects of his testimony. “That is exactly what the judge will instruct the jury: ‘If you find anything that a witness said to be untrue, to be incredible, to be a lie, feel free to disregard the entirety of that witness’s testimony,’” Randy Zelin, a trial attorney and adjunct professor at Cornell Law School, said on “CNN News Central” on Friday.

Except when other witnesses and documents corroborate Cohen's testimony.

Reports are that the Prosecution cleaned up Cohen's mistake on Monday.

  3. There is a fundamental problem with Trump's campaign:

Trump has realized that donations to his campaign are effectively his money. And he doesn't like to spend his money.

So, Trump is going to watch every dollar spent by his campaign (or the RNC).

Which means Trump isn't going to spend much. Just enough to lose.

Inflation was made worse by Biden throwing money at people when there were no goods to buy or services to use. More money, less to spend it on, equals inflation. And maintaining the level of spending is madness. What reason for a 1.7 TRILLION dollar deficit in 2023?

the federal government’s financial position for and during FY 2021:

The budget deficit decreased by $356.3 billion (11.4 percent) to $2.8 trillion and net operating cost decreased by $746.5 billion (19.4 percent) to $3.1 trillion.

    Are you talking about Trump?

Tug - You Leftist are so predictable.   But you did surprise me in not posting about the death of the Iranian President.  Sending flowers?  After all, your Dear Leader has given Iran around $100 billion so they can fund the proxy terrorist groups.  Trump had them in a box, that was hurting him, but Biden let them out and even allowed a way for them to become rich selling their oil to the Chinese at discounted prices.  Biden has always been on the wrong side of history for almost 50 years now.  But with uneducated people like you he may get another 4 years, or at least the Marxist, Socialist, Communist Democrat Party will get the 4 more years.  When Trump left Iran was down to only about $4 billion in reserves,  Now they have nearly $100 billion.

I am going to give you the same advice I give everyone who posts a Gish Gallop - don't start your rant with a lie.

"After all, your Dear Leader has given Iran around $100 billion ".

Link, please. Did the $100 billion come as a bank transfer from the US?

If you can't support your first lie, then the rest of your rant is going to be seen as just insanity.

subsidizing two wars and an open border is not helping the deficit

The border is not open. The Border Patrol is catching more illegals now than under Trump.

Most illegals come in via legal ports of entry, with fake papers. Because they are hired by Trump's Big Ag donors. They give Republicans big money to make speeches about the Open Border, but do nothing to boost border security.

You mean during Covid when the economy came to a halt, millions were out of work by gub'ment edict and millions of small businesses needed a lifeline to weather to storm?

I wasn't too keen on giving money to billionaires, but Biden's administration has been even better for the top 1% donor class than Trump's was.

Quick question:  Who was the first president to run up a $Trillion deficit?  I'll give you a hint.  His VP was Biden.

Are you still angry about Trump's tax cut for billionaires? You know, the one that was never paid for, so it jumped st blew up the Federal deficit.

    From your own link:

The federal budget deficit totaled $2.1 trillion over the past 12 months, up 50 percent from the $1.4 trillion deficit in Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 and more than twice as large as the deficit prior to the beginning of the pandemic.

From your own graph, it's headed up, with no end in sight.  Not to mention Biden's 2025 proposed budget of $7.3 Trillion.  Contrast that with Trump's proposed 2021 budget of $4.8 Trillion.  That's a 52% increase in the federal budget in just 4 years of Bidenomics.

We can't afford to keep winning like that...

You do realize that Executive Branch budget proposals are just proposals, and nothing more?

When Trump was ballooning the deficit, were you complaining?

I won't say Rawstory is a very liberal site, even though it is. Now, anyone with half a brain with zero bias would say biden at the SOTU looked wired and jacked up. He did, period. Of course the drug test is meaningless and just Trump's way of getting his point across. Like I doubt joe's taking a hit of meth, but for sure he'll be taking a potent vitamin cocktail just before the event. I can't blame him, without it he wouldn't be able to stay focused. Then when he does falter....oh he has a stutter....how dare you say anything about that.

    My debate prediction:

Biden has a bad night, MAGA says Biden has Alzheimer's.

Biden has a good night, MAGA says Biden is on drugs.

Here's a question for you: is there any scenario you can imagine where Biden wins the debate fair and square?

Tug, thank you for not addressing your complicity in the needless deaths of thousands of young Ukranians.  Instead of trying to come to an agreement, all that is happening is more suffering. Ukraine cannot win. It's really quite simple. They are running out of bodies to use the weapons you want to give them.

As for NATO, they needed a wake-up call. They have been riding Uncle Sugar's coattails for too long. With the end of the USSR and the Warsaw Pact, there is no need for the US to be anything more than a simple member state. They have the resources and technology to easily defend themselves. What Europe lacks is the will and the incentive.

In other words, you support Putin's attempted conquest of Ukraine, and the withdrawal of the US from NATO.

What city in Russia are you posting from?

No, I left out the Covid years for BOTH presidents as they are outliers. But you can see that even in 2023, with covid fading away in the distance, Biden STILL nearly doubled the deficit that Trump had pre-covid. 1.7 trillion to 0.98 trillion.

I would say that Biden is spending like a drunken sailor, but that would be an insult to drunken sailors. At least the sailors are spending money that they have, not spending money that their children will have to pay back in the future.

You left out Trump's big deficits because they were"outliers".

Or because they made Trump look bad.
