  1. People have been saying the same for the last 10 years, don't believe everything you read. It's still easy to get one and probably the easiest and cheapest way to stay here for another year hassle free
  2. It's the Tessabans job to solve issues like this, they won't care if it's a farang or not
  3. Why not? If course they will, do you think that Thais are scared of farangs?
  4. I live in Hua Hin Years ago I had a issue with a neighbors dog barking non stop I went to the Tessaban who were very helpful and they went round to speak to the Thai owner of the dog and the problem stopped Go to the Tessaban and explain the issues you are facing. They do speak reasonable English there but take the wife so they can understand fully Some videos or audios of this woman and her dog may help
  5. Not sure if this interests you but there used to be a site where you bought a ticket for around 10 USD. You get a real confirmed flight booking via email that can be checked online by any embassy staff I think the booking company then cancels the ticket after 48 hours so make your booking as close to your appointment as possible Sorry I can't remember the name of the site
  6. They would be bothered if the landlord decided to report this as a criminal matter If charges were brought the OP's right to leave would be denied by immigration There was a case a few years ago of a British guy stuck here for 3 years because his landlord filed a criminal case for damage and theft against his tenant Google it if you wish
  7. Do a search. It's easy enough As someone who lived here for 15 years on a mixture of Ed Visas Tourist Visas and Visa Exempts I used to be constantly on this forum checking the latest updates Luckily I'm on a Retirement visa now so my visa worries are over ????
  8. If you're talking about the OP's case there have been numerous threads over the years reported on here of no denial stamp being placed in a passport In fact it's more rare they stamp one in
  9. Op you're living in a dream world if you think all those things are available, it's not a hotel with all mod cons https://www.ucanews.com/news/caged-like-animals-inside-bangkoks-notorious-idc/87104 I know someone who spent a week in the IDC Bangkok, he said it was hell
  10. OP depending on how desperate you are to enter you can appeal this decision I don't know all the ins and outs of this process but worth a try You obviously need to do this straight away, ask to see a immigration officer and tell them you want to appeal and see what happens from there
  11. Yes that's correct they are working here But what you really fail to understand is that the Labour laws have not been updated to recognize the digital age So therefore there is nothing in them to say a person working on his computer at home running a business that is absolutely nothing to do with Thailand is breaking the rules Times have changed since those rules were written but some people including yourself keep banging on with you're working in Thailand so you need a work permit blah blah blah From the same website that you keep taking quotes from to further your view but like to miss out parts that don't "Yes, in a strict sense. However, Thai law does not have specific sections that cater to relatively new developments such as foreign online workers" So stop living in the past and accept that times have changed and stop posting laws that were written decades ago long before the digital age came about
  12. You've gone a bit quiet after my last post I'm guessing the words in the article were to big for you? ,????????
  13. https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/thailand-digital-nomad-visa-and-work-permit I would rather take the advice of a competent lawyers firm than some know it all on Aseannow to be honest It clearly states that you are allowed to manage your online shop whilst in Thailand which is exactly the scenario I gave in my first post on this thread regarding dropshipping
  14. There is no legal statues for this kind of work Let me explain how it worked when I was dropshipping My ebay account was based in the UK. I would receive a order from a UK based client, I would then go to AliExpress and order it there and have them send it direct to the client, therefore Thailand is not involved in any way shape or form There isno regulation in the Thai immigration act to say I need a wp for this kind of work Go and check the immigration laws and then come back and show me that a wp is needed for what I have described above
  15. Not correct Your business needs to be Thai related in some way for example buying stock from thai suppliers Immigration have already said numerous times that they are not interested in digital nomads here who's businessess are based overseas I trade the forex market from home, do I need a wp? Of course not as it has nothing to do with Thailand and I doubt I would be able to get a wp for it anyway as there would be nothing to cover what I do in the Thai immigration regulations
  16. I sold on eBay from Thailand for around 14 years, never had a work permit However... If you are buying things from Thai suppliers it is my interpretation that you do need one If you are dropshipping and have nothing to do with Thai suppliers you wouldn't need one As others have said above it's a dying market, it was profitable in the past but with higher postal costs and various other things it's hard to make a decent profit After 14 years I gave up on it as I just wasn't making money any more
  17. COD is the only way for me That way the courier has to actually deliver the parcel to me personally instead of leaving it somewhere else, stating it has been delivered but hasn't or leaving it with a neighbour
  18. Ordered a pair of shoes a while ago. COD Received the box and it was obvious there were no shoes in it so opened it up in front of the courier guy Inside was a plastic bag with money inside which was the exact price of the shoes So I paid the courier guy with the money I had set aside for the order and took the money from the box Instead of just cancelling the order the seller had Used this trick to show that the order had been delivered Needless to say he got a negative review for wasting my time
  19. There was a young foreigner found dead by hanging in Hua Hin 2:days ago, I hope it wasn't this poor man ????
  20. I would say your post comes a very close 2nd
