  1. You are right the rules are not a bit unfair and strange, but they are worse than that.

Well, for me to survive in Thailand, I have a very good indepth knowledge of Computer, Printers, Laptops etc Repairing and software installations and troubleshooting and rectification. This way what I am presently doing in my country.

My plan is to open up a repair centre in Thailand in my wife's or son's name and do all the hard work myself (in the background i.e opaquely). That would take care of all requirements for the future for me and my family.

My wife plans to open up a Departmental Store selling Jewellery and other items.

    Any thoughts.......

  2. Well ! Laws have to be logical and practical for Genuine Appilcants like me.

You cannot ask the Genuine Applicant to do impossible things like get the stars from the Sky.

My wife is homesick after all these 17 years staying away from her family, so I though of moving to Thailand for some time and if everything went well to stay there with her and my kids.

These laws are impracticle and illlogical !!!

Do you understand what I mean to say.

  3. I can get Multiple-entry non-immigrant "O" not a problem as I already sopke to the Embassy here in India. At the airport Immigration will give me a maximum of 3 months. What then?

Any other way besides the Visa run???

It's really stupid not letting a family stay together???

It really sucks if there is no way around it besides Visa Run and Bank balance.

My wife and kids have been staying here with me in India for the past 17 years without showing any bank balance.

Now we plan to move to Thailand. My wife already has a house there.

    But this country's logic sucks....

  4. I plan to goto Thailand next month to stay there for a long time.

What Visa do I apply for?? I already have taken Non-Immi O before twice but my stay was only for 2 months at that time.

I need to say there without showing a big amount in my bank to the Immi guys.

Can I keep extending my Visa while I am staying in Thailand??

Nationality mine is Indian whereas my wife and kids are Thai Nationals ans we have been staying here in India sice the past 27 years with all proper docs and India does not require any money showing clauses like in Thailand.

Kindly advice me as to what visa categofy and time period to take to enter Thailand and how to keep extending it if it is possible.

    thanks in advance

  5. Well,

It's Really Simple if U follow me Step by Step. It wiil solve and sort out all your problems :-

    1. Take your USA Marriage Certificate to the Thai Embassy in USA ans get the English Marriage Certificate translated into Thai. The Embassy will charge you a very nominal fee for Translation from English to Thai and the main advantage will be that it would also be certified by them.

    2. Next time in Thailand, take the Thai Translated Marriage Certificate to your local Amphur Office and you would be eligible for VISA Extensions without making Visa Runs.

    3. Finished.

It's all that simple because I have done it myself.

  6. I checked from the Thai Embassy over here and they said that it the date for the age for making the card is defined but till what age is not defined.

But still it is better that the sooner you get it made the better as getting it made sooner would require less paperwork and hassels.

So, Folks I guess there is not a set age for making the Id card, so I will be maiking it next year when we go to Thailand.

    Bye, Folks and thanks.

  7. My Wife's folks in Phayao are saying that I can bring the Child till 17 years of age and get the ID Card made by paying the 500 Baht late fine.

    ADVICE PLEASE

Else If I am wrong I will have to catch a flight and go Right Away

I will be calling the Thai Embassy here in India and take their opinion also, which I would post here too.

  8. My elder son is born in April 1994 in Phayao and is a Thai Naional.

Can you advice me how to go about to make his Thai ID Card.

At what age is the Thai Id Card made for Thai Nationals ?

What documents are required at the time of making the Id Card ?

Whose presence is required at the time of making the ID Card i.e. Mother,Father or Both or None ?

How long does the process take ?

What Government Office is the ID card made in ?

Does any money have to be spent for making the ID Card ?

  9. You would need Father's ID Proof/Mother's also, and most important-A marriage certificate what ever country the marriage was in to be translated into Thai.

Else you could apply for it and leave father's name details out-As if he is not existing right now.It would be easier to get the passport then, and later the father can appear again.

The disappearing father act is to be done just to obtain the passport.

  10. Well,

You Folks have enlightened me through your postings about the Corruption Levels in Thailand.

Frankly, I have wrong notions about the country. About it,s peope being straight forward and God-Fearing - but you have introduced me to a new world alltogether.

So, many folks cannot be wrong in their notings, so it has led me to change my thoughts about Thailand.

A similar tragedy happened in India called the UPHAAR Cinema tragedy in which lots perished because of Fire-Exits not being OK.

Justice was imparted to the wrong doers after a very long time for GOOD.

And I thought that Thailand was better Off than India.

Thanks, folks for opening my eyes to the world !!

  11. Well, it is not a strange request that I am looking for Non-Authorised Service Providers as the authorised ones's prices will touch the sky.

The truth is if the guy is good at his work, he will be satisfied with a good amount of money for repairing with good service.

I am basically looking for someone who is repairing Mac's at component level grassroots well repairing motherboards and other apple stuff.

Maybe someone dealing in dead apple/mac laptop computer stuff

    ********************************************************************************

    *****************

REMEMBER : LOCATION OF THE PERSON HAS TO BE IN BANGKOK AND DEALING IN APPLE/MACINTOSH LAPTOP ITEMS DEAD ITEMS OR ALIVE

    ********************************************************************************

If you folks can be of help I would appreciate.

Contact details including phone numbers would be a great help.

    regards

    PS

  12. Well!!

"REMEMBER YOU CAN TAKE THE GIRL OUT OF THAILAND , BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE THAILAND OUT OF THE GIRL"

A very rightly said truth. I totally agree with it.

It is the hard truth that we see in life. It also depends on the person whom you choose to be the wrong person for you.

I have been married to a Thai girl for the past 13 years, have 2 boys now & living in my country New Delhi, India now. I got married to my wife and after 10 months decided to fly back to my country as things were easier here for working for me. I was the only one who had to work and feed my wife and kids, so we decided to stay in India. My wife is a housewife since the time she got married & all she has to do is eat, sleep and take care of the kids.

Well, I treat her like a part of me & keep her as happy as I can. That's my truth!!

  13. Well !! I got married on a TOURIST VISA while in Thailand 12 years ago. I have got Tabean Baan,Tabean Somlot & all relavent papers in order without any problems at all. So, I think that it is not so difficult to take all relavent papers from the proper authorities in Thailand if you are getting genuinely married.

  14. Well, I am looking for a gold purity testing machine that will test the purity of gold i.e. how many karats is the gold worth(14,16k,18k or 24k etc) as well as tell what is the content of the metals in the gold. Well I have seen the gadget in my country except nobody tells you where they got it from. It also tells what other metals are mixed with gold and their percentage. The size of this gadget is the size of a shoebox and it gets connected to a computer also.

  15. 1... what office will we need to contact for married in Bangkok or any surgession

2... what necescery paper that he need to bring with him apply for marry

3... will Sweden Embassy approve this marry certificate for applying to go to Sweden

Well, I got married to a Thai girl 13 years ago. The paper needed was my passport. Then I contacted the Amphur Office in our city to get the marriage registered and got the marriage certificate from them after showing them the pictures of our marriage. A couple of relatives of my wife also went with me to the Amphur's Office to prove that the marriage was indeed genuine. The Sweden Embassy should surely accept the marriage and grant the Visa.

  16. Well, they are registered at the Amphur in Thailand and have ID numbers because they use these nos in the passports in thailand. They also have their names in the Tabean Baan (House Register) since birth. They do not have ID cards, since they are granted to Thai citizens at 17 years of age. The elder one was born in Thailand. The younger one was born in India but I applied for Thai nationality for him at the Thai Embassy in New Delhi, India. In one month I got Thai nationality for him without any problem. I think the main factor for attaining the Thai nationality was because his mother was holding Thai nationality. I plan to take them at the right age to Thailand to get their ID cards, since ID cards are compulsory.

About their graduation, I think that they will complete it in India, since it is very cheap and good quality education here compared to Thailand moneywise. By the time, the elder one turns 17, he should be ready studying for graduation. It takes 3 years to complete graduation. But I will take him to Thailand when he is 17 and ready to go for graduation.

  17. Thanks very much for your detailed elaborated reply. I woluld like to know all the details before time, so that I can plan my things accordingly. I am holding Indian nationality.(My son in question and my younger son aged 8 years and my wife, all hold Thai Nationalities at present). I have kept all 3 of them with me in India since the time we got married on Multiple Entry Indian Visas. I have done so because in the future it will be better for my kids to work in Thailand or India, whichever country they choose. They can work in India without a work permit because their father is of Indian Origin (According to India's regulations of Ministry of External Affairs) or they can work in Thailand because they are citizens of that country or else they could migrate to greener pastures if they choose to. Holding a foreign passport of a developing economic country is an advantage to migrate to any other foreign land that you choose. It is problematic to migrate to other countries if you hold an indian passport because of the economic and other looks of india. I will call up the Embassy of Thailand in New Delhi, India and check what they have to say about this issue. In fact I find this procedure of compulsory joining the army is a little outdated, when I compare it to the army joining rules that we have in India. I don't know why have they made it compulsory for citizens to join the Army in Thailand and if you don't you stand to incur the wrath of Arrest. In fact I do not have any grudges for joining the army, because it would make you have better moral and ethical values in life.

  18. My son is aged 15 years and a Thai Citizen by Birth, since he was born in Thailand. My wife and my younger son also hold Thai Nationalities. He is at present holding Thai Nationality, but staying with me in India for the past 15 years. He is studying in India and finishing his schooling here as Good English Medium Schooling is not expensive here. I am Indian Citizen holding Indian Nationality staying with him in India. I want to clarify some doubts that I have :-

    1. Is it compulsory for a Thai National to join the Thai Army when he attains the age of 21 years ?

    2. What happens if a Thai National is staying outside Thailand since his birth ?

    3. Are Thai Nationals who are staying outside Thailand exempted from joining the Thai Army ?

    4. If it is compulsory to Join the Thai Army, how many years does a person have to serve ?

These doubts have been raised by my Thai Wife. I would appreciate an appropriate updated reply on this issue.

    Thanks
