    My previous job I was paid USD outside of Thailand. But also 50k a month baht to meet the requirements to get an extension. Was a great set up as the money paid USD into my HSBC account was 100% savings as the 50k paid baht covered my monthly living expenses.

    If the shop or store iam entering requires one i happily put one on. I now bulk shop for food/booze/ciggies so the need to enter a shop/store is minimal..... Had to go into a 7/11 a few weeks ago... think thas the last time I wore a mask.

    Yes they are entitled to severance ? Who pays that, the agency (their employer) or the company they were contracted to (not their employer) ?

    Off those 1250 laid off workers, I wonder how many were actual employee's and how many were labour hire. Labour hire are not entitled to severance payments as far as I know.

    Baen Saeng beach they are 100... but the weekends are rammed with rich Bangkokians not tight sphincter Falangs like Pattaya and Jomtien.

    I'd want to know exactly what the extended warranty covers before forking over that kinda coin... also is it transferable to a new owner.

    7 motorway is 120.... I dont give a rats if they want to plod along at 20 under but <deleted>.... dont do it in the RH lane.

    Yes, really really grinds my gears these pricks that sit in the RH lane on the 7 motorway doing 100KM/H and refuse to move over for vehicles that have a desire to actually do the speed limit.

    Yeah life can be easy if you want it to be.... not sure why people go out of their way to bring grief upon themselves. The 2 yearly visit to immigration and labour dept is enough exposure to all the Thai malarkey for me !!

    Was not the case for me. Have had my K Bank one for approx 15 yrs - zero savings required. My BKK Bank one for 3 years - Zero savings required... infact I had not yet received my first payslip when it was approved. My amex - 2 yrs, not sure if savings required or not but I did have a reasonable amount in my BKK Bank savings account when I applied for it.

    Yes, I have one from K Bank and one from BKK bank. I also have an Amex credit card issued by american Express Thailand. All 3 cards have limits which are 5 x my salary.
