I see one big flaw in their area quarantine proposal. The main reason they keep you in quarantine after testing negative on the third day is because of cases that occurred in which people tested negative at first and then positive later on (10th, 11th day). That means that people passing the first test can still be positive later.
Now, it seems people will be allowed to mingle with others within the hotel limits. What if someone that passed the first test but is still actually a carrier gets in contact with someone on their 13th or 14 day of quarantine and give it to them? This person may end up going free the next day and spread it later on.
The incubation period is what many people aren't clued up on.

What risks ??? Pre-flight Covid-19 test, and 2x Covid-19 tests with 15 days ‘area’ quarantine...
What risks? Go look at the horrendous situation health wise and economic to most of Europe and the Americas.

Nothing is perfect, but this is still a far more attractive option than being stuck in a hotel room for 15 days.
It will attract those returning to Thailand, but I can’t see many tourists going for it.
IMO - the only viable option for tourists is to rely on Covid-19 tests pre-flight, Covid-19 test on arrival and a 24 hr quarantine period until the result is know.
This still comes with risk, but the risk is significantly reduced. Meanwhile the nation can do whatever if can to speed up the domestic vaccination process.
IMO the risks for this outweigh any positives. Numbers will still be small, and the risks too high.
You are going to get infections this way, as newer arrivals will infect people about to leave. Then as cases spread around provinces you will have more shut downs.
As i say risks outweigh and positives. Doesn't even seem a fair balance.

This method makes no scientific sense.
If you have a new visitor who arrives on day one and has the virus, then surely he can effect someone who has been at the resort for nearly 14 days - who is then released and effects others.

Didn't they come up with this plan last year?

Should we be worried?

Let me first start by saying that I know next to nothing about this. I only want to describe my experience with a similar situation.
About last month I started getting very oily skin on my face, to the point that it was annoying me and I was constantly washing my face. So I thought " what am I doing differently now that could be causing this? I could think of two things, One is I started taking magnesium supplements, and two I started drinking coffee. So I stopped doing both and the problem went away. Since then I re-introduced the magnesium supplements just to see if it would start again, and it did not.
This morning I felt like I wanted a cup of coffee . and made some, now seven hours later my face is again oily.
It all could be a coincidence, but something to consider. Could it be some sort of food allergy?
Diet definately plays a part. However, i've had oily skin for a long long time. Seems to be getting worst now. Was always told it would go once 'i got older'.

Got the same problem ! Skin is so damn oily. You could literally fry an egg on my face.
