    Traffic was worse in 2006 in Pattaya than CM in 2022. Must be worse now.

    You find locals in Pattaya friendly? I think NK has friendly locals. Anyway different tastes is what life is. If we all liked the same we would all be in the same spots.

    CM city is average. I like the countryside. I dont care for nightlife. The locals are friendly in CM plus I like northern food. I was in CM 2 months ago.

    I have one old mate 27 years true friend. Most others mild friends.

    Easy to get gf. The west is more lonely even if you have a wife cause its dog eat dog. Thailand is more fun.

    Aussies are miserable. Many go to Bali or Thailand to escape the misery.

    People get old or die. Imo the op should write down his top 5 hobbies or interests. Go do them. What makes one happy could make another unhappy. If travel,food, women, massages, temples are your top 5 then Thailand is it. I find myself travelling.

    Go to Lamai, walk around, ask for monthly rates. Use as base. Then do side trips to kpn etc.
