  1. Raffensperger claiming that Meadows was acting on behalf of the president means nothing. He is not the arbiter of whether that's true or not. Meadows is prevented by law from electioneering under the Hatch Act. He was clearly outside of his remit.
  2. It won't be moved. Mark Meadows made a series of errors in his testimony, given in an attempt to move his case from Georgia court to a federal court, possibly harming Meadows himself and the former president, according to a legal expert. NYU law professor Ryan Goodman said in a social media post that Meadows "testified he got involved in false electors scheme" because he didn't want to get yelled at by the former president. "This will bolster prosecutors' cases," Goodman added, noting that the testimony lays the blame at Trump's feet. https://www.rawstory.com/meadows-admission-huge/
  3. I know a lot hate Biden but can you stop pointing to his disability as evidence that he is senile? It's sociopathic behavior.
  4. Dead simple. Make health single payer and education much cheaper, like other countries. Better educated people can support themselves more easily and lift the country's GDP.
  5. The more powerful they get the more autocratic they become. I prefer a president who listens to advisors.
  6. No evidence here. Is a lack of denial evidence now? F1023's have never been evidence. What changing narrative? A fugitive felon whistleblower is evidence? That laptop contains no evidence admissible in a court of law. I could go on.
  7. Trump ordered to appear in court for Michael Cohen lawsuit ASAP Donald Trump is being ordered to come into court as soon as possible in a lawsuit that he had launched against his former lawyer, Michael Cohen. In an unusual move, the judge updated the legal filing of Donald Trump's counter-suit late on Friday afternoon (below) demanding that his lawyers appear in court on the next business day. https://www.rawstory.com/trump-ordered-to-court-cohen/
  8. Because Reagan and Trump taxed you less and the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer.
  9. I guess Russia isn't spending a ruble on it's military industrial complex. You are a Putin fanboi
  10. Then you should be taxed more. Here's the problem. Think George Orwell. Billionaires want to build a new city in rural California. She’s suspicious that the group’s real purpose is “to create a city for the elite” under the guise of more housing. https://apnews.com/article/silicon-valley-tech-investors-new-city-housing-35f91416dd7d84ecb03ed08199d87dd5
  11. That's because that trend occurs in every election ever held since the dawn of time. Mail ion voters traditionally vote dem. Precisely the reason Trump disasterously decided to criticize mail in voting.
  12. Red state Americans are not well served by their elected leaders. America’s Surprising Partisan Divide on Life Expectancy Centuries-old settlement patterns — and the attitudes they spawned about government — are to blame for differences in longevity between red southern states and bluer parts of the country. The geography of U.S. life expectancy — and the policy environments that determine it — is the result of differences that are regional, cultural and political, with roots going back centuries to the people who arrived on the continent with totally different ideas about equality, the proper role of government, and the correct balance point between individual liberty and the common good. Once you understand how the country was colonized — and by whom — a number of insights into Americans’ overall health and longevity are revealed, along with some paths to improve the situation. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/09/01/america-life-expectancy-regions-00113369
  13. The major problem for the US in particular is the dramatic shift in wealth from the poor to the rich over the past 50 years. Taxing the rich is indeed the only way out. https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/242756/gap-between-rich-poor-increased-more/
  14. Voter fraud can't be hidden. Election fraud, involving financial irregularities can be hidden. Especially when the supreme court lets you hide them. There weren't so many cases. There were a few and most of those convicted were republicans. The salient point was there were nowhere near enough to sway an election. Would you disqualify an election if you could prove a single case? Or throw it to the opposition?
  15. At that point we could have done it long ago. Voting online would be way more secure than any voting machine. Banks don't seem to have a problem with operating online. That way, you and only you could view the ownership of your vote. I'd support that. They could do away with mail in voting and drop boxes, no queues and more people would be able to vote. Trust me, the republicans don't want that.
  16. Some might reach that conclusion. Others never will.
  17. Lots of people have come to regret their public associations with various groups in their facebook and other profiles. Even a retweet can get you fired.
  18. Zach Rehl, president of the Philadelphia chapter of the alt-right Proud Boys, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison Thursday for his role in fomenting the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. https://nordot.app/1070122440891466381?c=592622757532812385
  19. Pretty sure record low unemployment number over the past couple of years is what has actually fueled the surge in illegal arrivals. The only possible way to stop this is to aggressively prosecute employers hiring illegals as happens in other countries.
  20. Newsflash. Nobody cares about accusations until some proof is provided. Over 60 courts cases have proved that isn't likely to come anytime soon. Show us where the secret ballot isn't widely popular.
