  1. He will. The worst offenses havn't been charged yet. Somehow the right wing think a dozen or so seditious conspiracy charges or useful idiots who all claimed Trump told them to do it won't land home at the top.
  2. What's the count of Trump associate indictments, forced resignations and pardons now?
  3. Who are these mysterious "handlers"? Just more maga talking points., Never a shred of evidence, names or anything tangible. Just fodder for feeble minds.
  4. Biden has been nowhere near this. Cut the conspiracy theories unless you can link to evidence other than mere accusations..
  5. No they don't but you wouldn't know. On your own admission you read nothing.
  6. Any excuse to ignore science. That he's boring isn't a consideration for me. Link to evidence. All your dietary advice is the exact antithesis of expert dietary advice.
  7. Give it a rest. I eat a Mediterranean diet in Thailand. It's myth that eating fat makes you you fat. Sugar does, incl sugar from carbs. Nothing else.
  8. As I suspected, you are uninformed if you disdain links (and therefore evidence). Where do you get the science from that tells you sugar and high carbs are good for you?
  9. Please stop. I provided a bunch of links previously which showed that modern medical advice is to eat more protein as you get older to prevent sarcopenia. And to reduce carbs. You have ignored and not addressed any of those links. At this point your advice is misinformation. The recommendation is 1g per kg of body weight. Protein can cause kidney damage if eaten in excess which is highly unlikely.
  10. I eat all fruit in moderation. I've read that the recommended levels are 2 or 3 pieces a day minimum. One of the above websites states that only watermelon and over ripe bananas are high glycemic load. Another unlinked site adds grapes to that list. A good way to eat fruit is after a protein shake or high protein meal as the protein inhibits insulin spikes. Also, go for a walk immediately after consuming the fruit. And resistance training a couple of times a week. A dietician told me that "if it's white, don't eat it".
  11. Consuming fruits that are low on the glycemic index is beneficial in managing Type 2 diabetes and may lower your risk for heart disease and high blood pressure, according to a study published in "Diabetologia" in February 2011. Most fruits won't spike your blood glucose and insulin levels if you eat them in the recommended serving size, which provides 15 grams of carbohydrates. https://www.weekand.com/healthy-living/article/healthy-fruit-options-wont-spike-insulin-18012959.php https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/fruit-diabetes
  12. I was at central festival this morning and hit the bank so I could buy some stuff and pay the electricity bill at the end of the month so I was a little cashed up, if not pecunious. I have a particular predilection for large green stuffed olives. They have them at Tops supermarket in central but they are pretty spendy at 270 baht or so for 100 gr. They had some large packs of 1.3 Kg for 5100 baht. I'll have to make them last. They also had 100% cocoa Lindt chocolate at 175, also not cheap. Previously I'd only ever seen 99% cocoa around in Pattaya. Chocolate afficionados might find that interesting. I saw some Ritter Sport at 85% in my local 7-11 a while ago but they've never restocked them since I bought the last few bars.

I've pretty much decided to buy a mac mini m2 soon to replace my ASUS mini ubuntu machine which has a couple of issues with some software, particularly the Slack app. I won't get the pro, just the standard with optional 16 Gb RAM. I don't need the enhanced GPU for a lot more cash. The stock drive is only 256 Gb but I prefer to use external storage anyway. I was tempted to build a custom machine with Intel i7 13th gen and DDR5 RAM and run ubuntu on that but it would be considerably more expensive, albeit more fun. Does anybody have positive or negative experiences with the mac mini?
  14. Is Thai massage all pain and no gain? I've been having a Thai massage every second day for a week now. The pain is decreasing a little and I feel looser. The masseuse originally talked me into an oil massage but as soon as she laid a hand on my muscles and exclaimed "kang mahk" she changed her mind and proceeded with the Thai massage. If anything I think the oil massage is just relaxing tourist stuff. Opinions?
