  1. oh, please. The GOP do everything they can to prevent poor people from voting. Fascism personified. and such rules have been in place forever.
  2. And a lot more don't. The topic of this thread alludes to your number not being true anymore. At the very least, many voters on both sides will be staying home next November if Trump and Biden are on the ticket. The likelihood is that dem voters will still have more reason to vote in their minds. Fascism ain't nuthin'.
  3. They couldn't have been any worse. Stop excusing the tories ignorance and disdain for medical advice.
  4. so spending money for a tax cut wasn't ok because it didn't pay for itself? https://www.brookings.edu/policy2020/votervital/did-the-2017-tax-cut-the-tax-cuts-and-jobs-act-pay-for-itself/
  5. Finally got a link out of you. Congratulations. From my link It’s worth noting that the figures used in the graph above measure debt held by the public, which experts at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities argue is more economically meaningful than gross debt. The former measures the government’s borrowing from the private sector and foreign governments, excluding debt it owes itself. Debt held by the public is currently about $24 trillion, and gross debt, which is subject to the congressional limit, is about $31 trillion.
  6. The other one couldn't distinguish his ex wife from his sexual assault victim.
  7. The link above shows the debt reducing under Biden after skyrocketing under trump. Could we at least agree to use the facts unless you can provide evidence?
  8. 'Bad poll': Trump says survey showing him losing to Biden by 4 really means he's up by 6 https://www.rawstory.com/trump-2024-polls/
  9. Lack of a link exposes more misinformation. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/10/politics/us-federal-debt-past-presidents/index.html
  10. Giving billions in military aid to Ukraine. At least his son went to Iraq.
  11. There isn't record high inflation, the US has done better than most peer countries, if not all. Proxy war with Russia had nothing to do with Biden. The topic of U.S. energy independence often sparks debate, with many believing that the country achieved this status under President Trump and lost it during President Biden's tenure. I don’t find this definition very useful, because we began importing crude oil before 1950, and we have imported it every year since. Under this definition, the U.S. hasn’t been energy independent in at least 75 years. https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2023/05/02/us-energy-independence-soars-to-highest-levels-in-over-70-years/?sh=3ab23b1f977f 2.3 Trillion giveaway mainly to the rich wasn't reckless spending? You'll need to provide a ;link to evidence of reckless spending. I dispute your claim. Borders aren't open.
  12. That's true of both sides. I think you disproved your own claim that these people speaking out wouldn't change any votes.
  13. I have bigly problems accepting that that list of top officials speaking out won't influence swing voters.
  14. There aren't 300 million voters in the US. The maximum number of people who have ever voted in a presidential election is about half that number. (74 + 81). I understand that proof that Trump didn't actually drain the swamp and didn't hire all the best people isn't music to your ears. Here's a guide to 10 Trump associates who have pleaded guilty or have been convicted of crimes. https://www.newsweek.com/guide-trump-allies-whove-pleaded-guilty-been-convicted-crimes-1735298
  15. No president has earned the open contempt and denunciation of so many of his inner circle. And in Trump’s case the list of those who have broken with him now include: Vice President (Mike Pence) Attorney General (Bill Barr) Two Secretaries of Defense (James Mattis, Mike Esper) Two Secretaries of State (Rex Tillerson, Mike Pompeo) Two Chiefs of Staff (John Kelly, Mick Mulvaney) Two National Security Advisors (John Bolton, H.R. McMaster) Deputy National Security Advisor (Matt Pottinger) Secretary of the Navy (Richard Spencer) Communications Director (Alyssa Farah Griffin) Press Secretary (Stephanie Grisham) Cabinet Members (Elaine Chao, etc.) Personal lawyers (Michael Cohen… and counting) https://morningshots.thebulwark.com/p/the-call-is-coming-from-inside-the?r=2k4r8&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
  16. Old is good. Greater wisdom, maturity and less testosterone fueled decisions. Noem Chomskey and RBG being classic examples.
  17. I want you to tell me. You put up this little canard as a deflection. We both know that the insignificant numbers of non whites who were prepared to profit by immorality doesn't change anything.
  18. Two things. The first 18 months after covid started and until we got sufficient numbers of vaccinated people was exactly when the lockdown and no partying regulations were most relevant and most important. Unarguably far more important than now. Secondly, your right wing talking point misinformation about Sweden's doing better than nearby countries despite having no lockdown is very misleading. The elderly had a worse outcome than Norway. The whole point of the lockdowns pre vaccine awas to protect the vulnerable. Unfortunately the narcissists believe that demographic was dispensable. We keep hearing about how the elderly should take care of themselves instead of everybody making miniscule sacrifices and doing the right thing. https://www.scienceopen.com/document_file/444b398e-6aaa-4cfe-aafb-04d9b158dd33/PubMedCentral/444b398e-6aaa-4cfe-aafb-04d9b158dd33.pdf
