Just like travelling faster than the speed of light there are some limitations of physics which will far outlast the ability to humans to solve them before our extinction. Colonisation of a yet undiscovered planet with a sustainable ecosystem is one of those. We need to find a way to survive as a species in a sustainable way on our own planet well before we find a way to colonise another planet.
