  1. That explains it. I can't sleep over 24 Celsius. Thered be a revolt in our house. The electric bills must be much more pleasant than mine to open!
  2. That'll be struggling in Thailand's humid hot season unless you live in a closet. I can't understand why anyone would buy something that just won't cool a room. The energy used just to keep that tiny 9 BTU compressor would cost more than 12 btu. If you want to sleep with a layer of sweat all night thats up to you.
  3. Many ships moved to the sois behind Tucom. I think having a shop in Tucom didn't justify the rent as its pretty dead compared to before COVID-19.
  4. Mitsubishi, great choice. We've got 8 in out house. 18 BTU in the kids rooms and a 24 BTU in our Master bedroom. Look into the 24 as the compressor's take a step up in size from 18 and below. The larger size has more coils giving a noticeable boost in cooling. How much are they charging for installation? Sometimes the local air-conditioning guy has better price and having him clean it regarly for definitely cheaper price. We need our deep cleaned twice a year at 300 baht a unit. Its really dusty up here in Issan and throw in burning season. Great product! Lasts forever. (10-15 years).
  5. Thanks. Both are nice. Obviously the one on top is his. Plagiarism is a stretch on this front.
  6. "Pfizer booster just the ticket" Its pretty much the only ticket. As usual all the eggs in one basket approach. "Sinovac COVID-19 shot with Pfizer booster less effective against Omicron - study" https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/sinovac-covid-19-shot-with-pfizer-booster-less-effective-against-omicron-study-2021-12-31/
  7. Bangkok "Suvarnabhumi Airport Guide" "Whether you have a layover, overnight sleepover or you are just quickly passing through, our Bangkok Airport Guide is a great place to start planning your visit. Here, you’ll find information on services and facilities available inside the airport – including details about airport lounges, WiFi, mobile charging points, lockers, 24-hour food options, nearby hotels, and everything in between." https://www.sleepinginairports.net/guides/bangkok-suvarnabhumi-airport-guide.htm "You can also purchased a Priority Pass" Nice to chill out in Lounges. https://www.prioritypass.com/ If you have a higher end Credit Card Priorty Pass is usually included free as a perk.
  8. Sure. Also it'll get you in shape, or in your instance even better shape. It won't help the receding hairline though. Go for it!
  9. Yes! And by phone. Email secondary. I booked and paid for Moderna in Udon Thani. It took so long I ended calling all the private hospitals in Khon Kaen. One said can you be here tomorrow? I said yes and got my first jab in October and second 4 weeks after. Udon finally did call but not until weeks after I got my second shot in Khon Kaen. I ended giving my Udon Regiment to my mother in law.
  10. Good luck. Personally with money spent fixing and refixing leaks I would have happily paid more and used SCG. The "promised" repairs from the roofing company I used never materialized. SCG will come out and repair any leaks or problems. But it is more pricey, but that peace of mind is priceless. Get light colored roof tiles. It'll save on air-conditioning costs. Get White if you can.
  11. With such dire results a second opinion is a good idea. Of course it all depends on whos paying for it. If it was my wife I'd pay for it. If it was her slovenly brother I wouldn't.

  13. Good advice. I've used an agent and its been easy going.
  14. Nice. Comfortable ride. Enjoy the drive and yourselves! Very reasonable!
  15. Almost be smarter to pay a little more and replace the roof. Try to use someone reputable like SCG. You'll have a real warranty that you can use if theres a problem. I just think putting something over an old tiled roof will eventually leak and you'll be stuck with it. Good luck. Maybe you can send me a link with this advertised miracle paint stuff. Leaking roofs, very stressful indeed.
  16. Yes, very irritating that you won't get your child vaccinated. So much for "common Sense".
  17. Corruption knows no borders. Southeast Asia just takes it to the next level.
  18. 55 million of those are Sinovac plus millions more of Sinopharm. US and UK are using mRNA vaccines. While better than nothing there is a large difference in effectiveness even with Pfeizer booster. 19. Perhaps tuberculosis. Its endemic in Thailand. Typical symptoms of TB include: a persistent cough that lasts more than 3 weeks and usually brings up phlegm, which may be bloody. weight loss. night sweats. high temperature. tiredness and fatigue. loss of appetite. swellings in the neck.. Hopefully they tested him for that. Its contagious.
  20. I remember those trips. I enjoyed spending a few nights in Laos, having dinner. It was just a few hours drive on the new freeway.. It was a nice little getaway.
  21. Sounds like he's in on it with a couple of friends. I'd wait to see if I got a finger in the mail before starting negoting with these miscreants. Sell the motorcycle and pay the ransom with the money received from the sale. It'll teach the little retard not to get kidnapped again.
  22. I believe there talking about Cambodians entering to work in Thailand. Be great if they opened Savanakhet in Laos for the multi entry marriage visa again soon.
