We just got back from Hua Hin. Bars are closed but other than the lack of International tourists its pretty busy. We really enjoyed our stay with Sushi and Seafood restaurants open. Malls were busy. Hua Hin seems to be the least affected beach area because of its proximity to Bangkok and robust lively ex pat community. Actually heading back next week. I love the selection of available restaurants and massage. I think it might be the last trip as word of another COVID-19 wave is I all over the news and rocking the markets. Its the requirements to travel by train or plane. Maybe you can get a fake document or just be smart and get vaccinated. -
Woman charged nearly 70,000 baht tax for her own handbag at Bangkok airport

No, the only country that gives the custom officer 40% of the taxes collected. Quite a moneymaker for these bandits. -

The Nations Health Minister, Anutin himself, literally has blood on his hands. He will be judged in history as the "Total Idiot Health Minister". -

Oh please. They can pull over for wearing an expensive watch you may have bought 10 years ago. Unless you're carrying a reciept you could be liable for duty tax. "There is a high risk of corruption in Thailand’s customs administration. Burdensome import procedures and corruption at the border are obstacles to doing business in Thailand (GETR 2016). Irregular payments are commonly exchanged, both in import and export (GETR 2016)." https://www.ganintegrity.com/portal/country-profiles/thailand/ we disagree. You may think Thai customs is the cats "meow". I think they need an overhaul from the ground up. Enjoy your weekend Lou. -

Not true. And Thailand is the only country to give there customs employees 40% of whatever they sieze or tax. Quite the incentive to keep Thailand and its customs employees to keep up this ridiculous farce. You'd change your mind if it happens to you I'm sure. -

New honda PCX 160: Where to buy ? (Pattaya)
MrJ2U replied to Spellforce's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
The quote your getting is the base or lowest priced model. You could call a few other dealers including ones in Bangkok. I doubt you'll find much variation in prices. Good luck. -
Have you tried Paypal? I've found that works with the most stubborn sites.
