  1. Thailand isn't even in the top 5. There's no other way if farmers want to stay competitive. Unfortunate but true.
  2. It's all of Southeast Asia and throw in India and rural China. It's certainly not limited to Thailand and as a whole is a smaller contributor than it's neighborhood countries. I agree it's awful. I live in the Northeast and our kids and us suffer terribly. One of the reasons I regret moving up here.
  3. Exactly, that's why the burning of fields. Much cheaper than tilling it. Economic concerns will always top environmental issues. It'll never change.
  4. Fly into Cambodian and cross the land border.
  5. It's an entire continent problem. Thailand could stop all the burning, exhaust, etc and 2.5 and other pollutants would still blow in from adjacent countries. https://www.careourearth.com/persistent-air-pollution-in-asia/
  6. Terrible up here in North East Thailand. Sakon Nakhon.
  7. Your wife works for the government. "Hundreds of billions of baht have been spent to keep the country afloat during Covid and there are plenty of whispers that politicians and government officials have kept a significant portion of the subsidy money." https://www.thaienquirer.com/39504/opinion-government-corruption-involving-covid-relief-must-be-punished-severely/ Newbies always think Thailand is squeaky clean when they first arrive. Perhaps after actually living in Thailand you'll possibly have a more realistic view and stop spouting nonsense?
  8. Believe what you want. Unfortunately at least 70% was pocketed by corrupt (everyone in government) officials. That Moderna you received was payed by orders from private hospitals then 30% was taken by the government in the guise of the Red Cross. Most Pfiezer was donated by foreign and has expired at least 6 months ago. Prices for the lousy Chinese vaccines and Astra Zenica have never been publicly provided. "The social security system will pay unemployed workers up to 50% of their wages for up to six months. For labourers and workers who are not covered by social security, 45 billion baht has been earmarked for cash handouts" Never happened.
  9. Thai. Very helpful.
  10. They bought some Sinovac. That's about it. What makes you think they spent the money responsibly? Obviously you've no clue how things work in Thailand.
  11. Anything is better than the hated Junta running the sh** Sh*w now. I don't know of any Thai who thinks these corrupt generals are doing anything but bankrupting the country and ruining lives in the process.
  12. I used a lawyer in Pattaya. Across from Big C. However that was for insurance. Might be different for your situation.
  13. Nice view from your home despite the haze.
  14. Millionaire military General with no military experience definitely a plus.
  15. One step at a time. Fortunately there's plenty of cheap clinics in cities where prostitution is openly available Fortunately.
  16. Some really descent places also. Great rates. Page 10 nice go to place with good breakfast, clean rooms, and a rooftop pool for around 1800 baht. Enjoy your trip!
