Just got back from Khon Kaen. I always enjoy that city! 1.5 hours is the distance between the two. Frequent cheap buses or a private taxi for 1400 baht or even the train in 3-4 hours. The most worrying thing is mutations. We already know the current mutations are less severe but that can change quickly. At the same time I don't plan on changing my life drastically again.

It's most likely deferred maintenance and the usual Corruption routed in the Thai military that has resulted in this catastrophe. Not unlike there Russian brethren.

Cameroonians seemed to be popular at our daughter's private school in Issan as well. I must say there English is very good. However the school has had to return to Thais teaching English and there English is not so good.

Hopefully they'll be wiped out at the polling stations. Any rational Thai person I know cannot stand this completely corrupt and inept government.
