  1. Embarrassing. For sober people it's hard to understand the enjoyment of getting so sloppy drunk you even get a news article written about your idiocy.
  2. I'm totally impressed by the gals at our local Kerry office. There very efficient and do much better than I could! Good luck!
  3. They don't have specific boxes for specific TV's. They have lots of boxes and will cut and fold the boxes to make it fit. They use bubble wrap that protects the TV. You could bring some towels from home if to surround it if it makes you feel safer. I don't know many people who save the original boxes for anything. It would certainly cause a lot of clutter around the house. Other option is rent a pickup and drive it to your destination. Probably cost more than the TV though.
  4. I've had 65" Samsung TV'S shipped by Kerry. They'll bubble wrap it and box it up right in front of you. Stamp fragile and Tape it up. It's not like it's an Original Van Gogh. 100's of TV'S are shipped all the time around the country. Take a video when opening the package to record if there is any damage. Your TV'S will be fine. Don't forget the remote!
  5. Many good agents can help make a smooth transition. I'd have to initially put 800,000 baht. He could wash the cars and help clean the pools to work of the debt. I'd love to see him happy. He's had a tough time of it the last 10 years.
  6. How big are they now? Looks healthy!
  7. For all it's faults and my constant belly aching I wouldn't want to be any where else.
  8. Very irritating, especially idiots who go out with big bags of dog food. They think being so sweet and humanitarian. Makes me want to puke!
  9. A man's got to do what a mans got to do. 150 baht is better than nothing.
  10. Food ⁹court Terminal 21 are usually excellent and reasonable priced! Sounds like your doing great. Good on you!
  11. Good points! Sometimes just easier and cheaper to grab a "Grab" ride then use the BTS or MRT. Especially with more than one person.
  12. I think if you're happy then great! That's a beautiful thing! I want my brother to move here, he's struggling on 1,450 US pension in California. He can move into one of our guest houses. Just pay for utilities, food, living expenses. A lot happier and the girls are prettier here!
  13. Similar to what Charlie's solution that worked well for us, family of four as we traveled all over Thailand for a month. We had a tiny travel router/modem from True. Connected up to 8 devices. Worked great!
  14. Just get a SIM card at your destination airport. Switch Sims as you switch countries. Much cheaper. Enjoy your trip!
  15. Your a good man. More powerful to you!
  16. Cats never seem to be a problem. I rarely see them. They do keep mice and rats at bay at least.
  17. Bangkok is a great City! Definitely not for everyone but you'll always have something to do. If you have the dosh it's a blast with great restaurants, plenty of women, and nightlife that no city in Asia can rival. Having two International airports you can cheaply fly anywhere for a quick getaway. Beaches within a few hours drive.
  18. "Great life"? 20k a month. 650 baht a day. That's just barely surviving. I can't wrap my head around that. I guess it's possible if you don't drink, smoke, travel, health insurance, or deal with those pesky Visa's. But if I was on that budget I definitely like to be in Thailand because it truly is possible and you could still be happy!
  19. As you mentioned 60-100 baht its really not much. Ok for a wee girl for a school meal. It's usually an oily water mixture with a little sinewy meat mix laden with sugar, MSG, and salt. Fine in an emergency but if thats your daily diet expect diabetes and high blood pressure to follow. "The greatest increase is projected for economically developing countries, such as Thailand, that already account for approximately two-thirds of all individuals with diabetes." https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/26/10/2758/26105/The-Prevalence-and-Management-of-Diabetes-in-Thai Better stick with McDonald's,KFC, and Burger King!
  20. Big misconception that Thailand is cheap.
  21. Really nice. Very lively.
  22. They didn't pay the bill. Time to get a new "favorite" hotel.
