"Priceless"? Yeah, right. Almost valueless, more likely. -

Not a chance that it's worth a fortune, not even a tiny fortune. -
Perhaps he's just a normal person wanting to exchange some GBP to THB (where did he say that he had a "bundle" of £?) and he's not familiar with the area.
-
Exactly what I posted.
-
NSS.
-
No other reasonable way of interpreting his OP...he clearly said he wants a place where he can get THB for £.
-
"Am I going to loom stupid..." Don't worry, you "loom" perfectly normal.
-
ATMs take in currency and dispense THB in exchange now? Which ones?
-
NSS.! Yes, that's why I used the word "obvious" in response to a poster who claimed exchange booths should be the last resort to use for currency exchange. Sherlock.
-
You right about SuperRich but unless a large amount is being exchanged the differences in rate from various exchanges/banks is negligible and costs to get to an exchange with a slightly better rate often out weigh the exchange benefit.
-
Exchange booth as an obvious first resort.

I got one last year so I know exactly how the process works, I was back in the uk for a month, applied one day, received the card the following day and have the app on my phone. "I got one last year so I know exactly how the process works, I was back in the uk" There you go, then. Seems that you do not "know exactly" how the process works for non-UK residents in Thailand. This is a thread about opening new UK bank accounts for non-UK residents, it is not about the easy process of opening a new UK bank account for a UK resident while the applicant is in the UK.

"How does an executor of an expat's will proceed? Is legal help needed to dispose of assets?" Yes. https://www.siam-legal.com/legal_services/thailand-last-will-and-testament-faqs.php Do I need to nominate an executor in my Thai will? An executor is a critical figure in the distribution of an estate in Thailand. They should ideally reside in Thailand since they will be required to attend the Thai court. Their identity and role should be made fully explicit in the will and it is best to ensure they understand and are willing and able to meet their obligations in advance. The naming of a substitute executor in the will is also a prudent measure. I am the executor/beneficiary of a Thai will. How long does it usually take for an executor to be appointed? The appointment of an executor can only be made by an order of the Thai court. Following an initial application to the court, there will usually be a hearing approximately 60 - 120 days later to appoint the executor. It should be noted that the executor needs to be physically present at this hearing to provide evidence to the court. Usually within 30 – 60 days of this hearing, and on the basis there has been no appeals by any other interested party, the court will grant a final order.

Perhaps they looked at him. -
"There's a private prison in BK for the rich. Nice apartment..." Garbage. And any prisoners in any Thai jail can have food sent in, or ordered the previous day and provided through the prison, even the peasants.

Which one were you in?
