  1. No other reasonable way of interpreting his OP...he clearly said he wants a place where he can get THB for £.
  2. "Am I going to loom stupid..." Don't worry, you "loom" perfectly normal.
  3. ATMs take in currency and dispense THB in exchange now? Which ones?
  4. NSS.! Yes, that's why I used the word "obvious" in response to a poster who claimed exchange booths should be the last resort to use for currency exchange. Sherlock.
  5. "...yet the cops make the accused vendor pay the Chinese 1,000bht". Jeez, it was not reported that the police made the vendor pay anything, it was reported that the vendor gave them B1000, voluntarily, to bring the farce to an end.
  6. You right about SuperRich but unless a large amount is being exchanged the differences in rate from various exchanges/banks is negligible and costs to get to an exchange with a slightly better rate often out weigh the exchange benefit.
  7. Exchange booth as an obvious first resort.
  8. You're right, it is getting boring, very boring. Those accounts have some serious conditions attached to them that restrict who is eligible.
  9. I got one last year so I know exactly how the process works, I was back in the uk for a month, applied one day, received the card the following day and have the app on my phone. "I got one last year so I know exactly how the process works, I was back in the uk" There you go, then. Seems that you do not "know exactly" how the process works for non-UK residents in Thailand. This is a thread about opening new UK bank accounts for non-UK residents, it is not about the easy process of opening a new UK bank account for a UK resident while the applicant is in the UK.
  10. Then you should also know that Monzo (not Monza) will not open new accounts from applicants in Thailand. I know, I tried it again yesterday. Chill out. Mate.
  11. "How does an executor of an expat's will proceed? Is legal help needed to dispose of assets?" Yes. https://www.siam-legal.com/legal_services/thailand-last-will-and-testament-faqs.php Do I need to nominate an executor in my Thai will? An executor is a critical figure in the distribution of an estate in Thailand. They should ideally reside in Thailand since they will be required to attend the Thai court. Their identity and role should be made fully explicit in the will and it is best to ensure they understand and are willing and able to meet their obligations in advance. The naming of a substitute executor in the will is also a prudent measure. I am the executor/beneficiary of a Thai will. How long does it usually take for an executor to be appointed? The appointment of an executor can only be made by an order of the Thai court. Following an initial application to the court, there will usually be a hearing approximately 60 - 120 days later to appoint the executor. It should be noted that the executor needs to be physically present at this hearing to provide evidence to the court. Usually within 30 – 60 days of this hearing, and on the basis there has been no appeals by any other interested party, the court will grant a final order.
  12. In a earlier post you said that you were "hiring a Thai company to do a job". Now you say that "you are the manufacturer of a product to be exported". See what I meant about the lack of clarity that you're providing us monkeys in the "peanut gallery"?
  13. Sound more like you're planning on buying from a manufacturer here and reselling. Doubt that you "need a letter" for that.
  14. Well, you are asking Asean Now members a bit of a hardly-specific question with a huge lack of clarity. Pay (less than) peanuts, get...you know how it goes.
  15. "There's a private prison in BK for the rich. Nice apartment..." Garbage. And any prisoners in any Thai jail can have food sent in, or ordered the previous day and provided through the prison, even the peasants.
  16. Not normal and most likely false/inaccurate/exaggerated information or not the full story. I do know.
  17. If by "you" you are referring to me than perhaps you need to reread what I wrote as I never suggested that I would do it or had done it...... So if you did mean me then that is just a complete unfounded assumption and typical, IMO, of your non- ending irritating nit picking in this particular thread. "If by "you" you are referring to me..." No, I meant "one" but that word looks so pretentious. By "non- ending irritating nit picking" [sic], I presume that you're referring to the 100% accurate banking information that I posted, yes? Funny how contradictory (but correct) information here is seen by you as "never ending, irritating, nit-picking"! Point out where I've provided inaccurate information.
  18. Selective quoting again..... Particularly relevant selective quoting, in actual fact. Perhaps you could indicate what part of my comment was inaccurate selective quoting? They do ask for an address, that address will be checked and being UK resident is a specific requirement. If you can falsify the information that you provide the bank, if that's what you're suggesting, and it works, good for you.
