Too little too late. People are just sitting around waiting to die now without hope..The spirit of the people is extinguished never to be rekindled. The damage done by this government and by covid is historical and similar to what was done in Cambodia by the Khymer Rouge. The world can't beat Covid-19. Thailand certainly can't.
This fiasco bears no resemblance to that moment in history. Sorry.

Yes. If one thing distinguished the Khmer Rouge above all others, it was the brutality of their lockdowns.
So the story goes just not the reality. Pretty incompetent lot from year 0.

Took three months but there it is.
Never put that stuff in my body. Pass on all mRNA vaccine especially this one.

Cutting carbs, sugar seems to me a better way.

Yes. There's no way a "Wuhan-style" lockdown could work in Bangkok. Just silly scaremongering.
The world has learned a lot since the great lockdowns. The virus isn't nearly as transmissible thought during first weeks and months. Seems passing things, shopping depending on circumstance will not blindside you with covid.
Lots of asymptomatic cases, CT + 35 I'd imagine.
Let's wait for tomorrow for the new "plan" something something ....

since there is no chance of vaccines being deployed in any great numbers then if this is what is left then expect it to happen
It will be the final nail in the coffin for this government...............this is not China
Surely you jest.

you don't understand the plan: Full Re-opening and Full Lockdown at the same time, this is the state-of-the-art mother of all policies
Brilliant observation.
Lockdown everywhere but the sandboxes which are theoretically wide open.
But those will close rapidly as well when news gets back of hospital prisons not to mention the escalating covet numbers throughout the nation

We have learned something from Wuhan but nevertheless the economy will go down hard.
So many Thai businesses have been forced to support workers for well over a year whether that's small or large amount of monthly wages. Nevertheless with no income that is absolutely lethal to a business. The question that the junta should ask is how long can that go on because it the real and correct answer is not infinitely.

This whole thing is going to blow sky high.
Why? Because from the highest of the high to the lowest of the low no one has any respect for rule of law and who can blame them?
Law is something to be feared and circumvented it is not a shared social contract undertaken as a citizen and participant of a democracy.

Shocking government statement given the decree about panicking the population.
Given the news about only 3m AZ vaccines guaranteed, government for whatever reason fighting mRNA vaccine tooth and nail, cases rising to record highs daily my only question is...
Why wait?
Vaccine apparently promised by December won't arrive till at least May.
The next question any sane person would ask is if nothing changes why would numbers go down?
Lockdown might be the final blow to the economy. That to me sounds like panicking the population.

I wouldn't ever teach at a language school but then again I'd never teach online either. Both ways appear as much a scam for student as for teacher.
Simon has built something that he owns, it's not EFL and I applaud that.

The vegetarians, vegans should be all in. Me, I'm passing.
Same technology just not the same process and materials.

This might reduce the copy fraud but not the extortion. Everyone forgets the b15 medical masks, b200 bottles of alcohol and the jugs of b1400 hand sanitizer.
Why will this be different?

I always travel with the wife now but I'd say I never have had a rude driver. Not that I can remember. In fact, most are pretty great. Thanks for taking me across town on Friday at 330 for 220b. Sometimes more than two hours!
Yeah, your a half drunken moron hailing a cab to go from Nana to Cowboy or down Sukhumvit you deserve it. That's just some dumbass planning. Book a 500b room and just crash. Take BTS next morning.

The disconnect in the country with planners and bureaucrats is nothing short of stunning.

TLDR
Ive been married ten years. I love my wife but id not marry her again under the conditions and circumstances i live under now in Thailand.
Thinking seriously about going back to US and will be all more expensive with her. Thats ok to the extent its affordable. Thai visa limits her travel and living in other countries.
This is not a good life plan.

Meanwhile...
Field hospital full
Hospital full
So the end game is what??
Surely, farang will be taken to hospital prison $$$
Its just another insane measure to demonstrate the government is doing something. What it needs to do is gets vaccine in people's arms!!!

Papers please
The army - please note that. Not healthcare workers.
At least i know it will be a half effort and stopped in a few weeks as policy changes and troops fall ill because of this totalitarian idea.
Absolutely broken nation.
Only stupid foreigners will be left here in three years

So disappointed in the embassy. Whatba pathetic, marginal half attempt. Something id expect from Biden administration. Save the vaccines give them to Dem voters as they illegally flood across us borders.
Never had faith in Bangkok embassy but I've completely written it off now. First, no help and now the filmsy vanier of a charade of assistance. Arrogant staff, poor decisions, shi++y administration. Broken nation. Typical in these woke times.
Then demanding taxes from those overseas. Its criminal.
