Great quote from the president of the University of Florida;
At the University of Florida, we have repeatedly, patiently explained two things to protesters: We will always defend your rights to free speech and free assembly—but if you cross the line on clearly prohibited activities, you will be thrown off campus and suspended. In Gainesville, that means a three-year prohibition from campus. That’s serious. We said it. We meant it. We enforced it. We wish we didn’t have to, but the students weighed the costs, made their decisions, and will own the consequences as adults. We’re a university, not a daycare. We don’t coddle emotions, we wrestle with ideas.
well dont that man but i'd add OFF campus

Almost completely impossible to limit electromagnetic signals to a countries border.
Enclosing the whole of Thailand in a faraday cage would work but not so good for the tourism industry.
Of course they know its impossible but will use this excuse along with any other to impose more stringent controls on phone users internet users and the service providers.
yes its just another step down the dreadful digital highway where everything you do, think, write or breath is known so they can constantly get back at you, wise up avoid this digital spying

pah its hotter than the last 4 years in Pranburi but thats the only difference, previous to those years it was where it is today for about 2 years. One year even saw 13c in the morning, havent seen that since (7years ago) so for me have had the last 3-4 years cooler and wetter, previous 2 years hotter drier, can tell easily by the trees in the mountain next to me. Then last 3-4 the mountains stay green, in the hot years they go brown,. this year theyre brown.
Maxed out at 43.1 c 4 -5 years ago, this year max so far 42
No one seem to mention that a few years ago it was very wet, almsot every day had rain in the rainy season and beyond, I know as I worked outdoors for years and had to keep jetwashing the black mildew off concrete. Havent had to do any this year and most of last year either. I spoke to the shopkeeper who lives round here and he said it goes like that, couple of really dry years then some rainy etc, nothing unusual for him.

I don't think it is wise to recommend Chevrolet. Since it left the Thailand. 🙂
I regularly hire this guy to work on my house. When Chevrolet was leaving the Thailand he bought one with some huge discount, something like 50%. That car is parked in front of his house for the last 12 months, because it broke down and nobody can repair it. And even if could, it would cost more than is the value of the car. So he went and bought on leasing Hilux Vigo as his working vehicle. While Chevrolet is parked in front of house as decoration.
oh really, so he didnt get the 3 year guarantee when he bought it then?

Tough people the Thais.
you could say the same for anyone who lives in a cold climnate with many
-c temps, you adapt to it especially if youve been brought up in it. My Wife couldnt stand anything below 30c.

An excellent idea! Help us formulate the questions that should be asked and we'll run a poll. Here's a starter for ten!
Question: In light of the new tax rules that became effective 1 January 2024, what are you actively and seriously planning and intend to do in response?
- the planned rule change will be cancelled so I don't need to do anything.
- I'm not planning to do anything differently
- I will wait until next year to see what happens, before deciding
- I will not remain in Thailand for more than 179 days per tax year
- I am definitely leaving Thailand and will live somewhere else
- I will remit less money to Thailand, in order to avoid tax
- I will obtain a TIN but nothing more
- I will file a tax return
- I'm happy to pay my fair share and to pay tax in Thailand rather than mu home country
Anything else?
Poll now posted.
wheres the poll then and i think it should be hidden from the Thai Tax dept!!

never found them friendly in 18 years, apt to make up stories about you and bitchy and moan......well certainly in the village close to me.
Had everything from Im stealing water, to cutting down trees illegally and have the forestry dept turn up to declare "nothing", to fixing the road and being told not my job despite a girl falling off her motorbike on the corner of my land due to ridiculous pothole which had been there for years....etc etc etc thankfully I ignore 99% of it as they seem to have nothing better to do................of course its all down to me.............just been told I never do anything to "help" the village? is it my job to "help" the village? and whats fixing the road count as? or the time the village water pump expired and a new one was 40k and I offered to buy it.........nope apparently not helping so Ive given up with the lot of them.
Not in the village but outside there are a couple of decent folk who regularly get fish from us including 2 shopkeepers and a woman who once watered our trees whilst we werent there, but overall id say they are 90% petty childish and jealous. Thankfully for me and them im 800metres outside the village......that i dont help😅 yes my bad attitude no doubt, yawn

It's sad to read and I dislike negative comments regarding girls working in this industry, sure you get a few nasty girls but I'm sure most times it's the foreigners that ruin them.
They ruined themselves by the choices they made in life.

The thing is, Einstein's theory disproved the existence of the luminiferous aether.
Whereas the denialists have repeatedly been proved wrong in their predictions that the climate was going to cool down in the early part of the 21st century. They are actually comparable to the scientists who disbelieved in Einstein's work.
yes but who knows if someone comes along and disproves global warming due to man etc, we think were smart but in a 100 years we'll look pretty stupid no doubt

The speed of light is considered to be A constant.
But, the speed of light is not constant in all cases, such as when it travels from one medium into another, for example from a complete vacuum into a liquid, or, say, a glass fiber (fibre).
Capisce?
duh oh no you mean when its not in a vacuum .............. yer dont say, who wouldve thunk it eh
