On another note. John Dykes sent me a message today advising he is doing a preview show which goes out at noon UK time. James Richardson is doing fanzone later that day. ACJimbo is also doing a Saturday morning show with Kelly Canning (AKA Dalglish) not sure what time here, probably around 3ish.

I have spent a while discussing if these programmes will be broadcast by CTH. Hard to believe they have only one fluent speaking member of staff! I suspect he's kept busy! After sometime explaining the situation he finally referred it to a member of senior management, who advised the content will be the same as TRUE. I asked if this includes Friday's programmes and he said yes. Guess we will play the waiting game now... If by next week content is not the same, feel free to ring up and ask for Nuttakrit. He's a very nice guy and will help as much as possible.

I'm in a bit of a rush to get to the Thai embassy in Vientiane, so to save time I was thinking of obtaining my Laos visa before I leave. Is this still possible? Would this avoid a potentially lengthy que at the border and allow me straight through?

Last I heard they were in talks with Laos star to broadcast via a terrestrial channel, but nothing confirmed since. Not a dicky bird about what is happening in Cambodia. I've got some friends there, so might find out this weekend. They nick the signal from Malaysia and Vietnam. So not as big a deal as it is here.

English audio not working but will be next Saturday and has been for other live events, but not for the red bill racing programmes. Check it out again when they show the basketball.

Pat, yes audio for english not working yet. I have been assured it will be for next Saturday. The FIBA qualifiers had english commentary. So did the final of the Hong Kong Asia trophy, so don't panic. I've been informed we'll still be getting John Dykes and co. too. Charity shield on channel 7.

Over a month for me (including 15 day free trial) still no bill. Expecting one by 3rd - 4th week August.

Let's face it, half the channels could disappear Tmrw and most of us wouldn't care, as long as still got EPL. F1 and other major sports on fox. Nat Geo is useful if nothing else is on as is sky news. Only thing I'll miss from True is guaranteed UCL coverage. But I'm hoping to obtain this by other means.

So bb, if there is more than 5 games being played at the same time do you think they will use other channels, taking into account that there are only 6 stadium channels and one being split screen !

I really wouldn't worry about that, it happens a max of 3 times a season I'd say.

For those still rattling on about True, look I think everyone would agree that apart from having the PL True pisses over CTH in every way....well except for SKY news that is, which I'm really enjoy having by the way. BBC World is bloody dreadful.

yes just seen that. May well change though due to spurs' and swansea's commitments in Europa league. I'm pretty certain all games will be on. Maybe this is when they will use channel 9 to show a few of their 17 games agreed with their sub-license purchase.

RS sun box gives La liga coverage for 100bht p/m. But TRUE have a sub-license deal with them for the channel. Yes, TRUE do have Seria A. A great cure for insomnia.

Reckon so yes. Problem won't arise until last 2 games of the season anyway. True took over a couple of channels, when this happened. With lunchtime and evening Saturday kick offs, at least 2 Sunday games, Monday night football and when the Europa league starts, can't see it being an issue until then.

Although wetv are servicing CTH customers its on a separate system. So need to fit the box still. Chances are you will need satellite.

Similar set up to Thai expat tv I reckon. Free trial until 17th, so why not give it a go. At least until CTH install their system for you. Whether they fall foul of any copyright issues is anyone's guess. But Thai expat tv seem to have done ok on that front.

I had exactly the same problem yesterday. If power goes off the box will automatically do a channel search once. You then need to exit from this menu. If you don't and power goes off again, then it won't do auto search. All you have to do if you see NULL sign on box is press the red button on remote. It'll perform a channel search. Then exit.

No RS have the sun channel, which shows La Liga.

Interesting article in the Bkk post about CTH struggling to meet demand before EPL kick off! Not that we didn't know this already! Thank god I could foresee this and got sorted early. I would post the article, but I'm not allowed.

I think true has the rights to the 2014 euro qualifiers. BUT RS have the rights for the finals next year! Big row brewing with RS and NBTC about this, as they will only make 22 games available on free Thai tv, the rest will be exclusive to their World Cup channel on the RS sun box system.

I can assure to the picture on Thai channels and non HD channels on TRUE is a lot worse!

Yep wiziwig is great but hard to say how easy streaming will be for EPL once season starts. EPL already got ISPs in uk to block front row sports. Sopcast sometimes delete/block channels showing games. Flash player streams are awful. But you could get lucky for some games. I'm hoping sopcast works for UCL. Watching juventus vs galaxy now on arena vision via sop. Great quality. Might help if you can get the letter translated into Thai. Good luck.

If you own your condo I'm pretty sure you have a right to attach a dish to the roof. Especially if you pay service fees. I'd be with-holding the next set of services fees, if this was the case.
