  1. A few have mentioned this flickering issue. Seems to effect more on satellite than cable. Happens for me on sky news too. Turned the power off at the mains today. See if re-booting the box solves the problem. Quite a few on their FB page also complained about same issue. Like I said its minimal for me but occasionally noticeable. If it happens tonight for the saints match gonna call them to complain. Anyone know what 'flickering' is in Thai? Don't wanna say interference as I guarantee they'll put it down to rain!

  2. Has anyone else got a problem with the screen constantly flickering?

CTH are like a bad dream.

yes, not too often, but often enough to notice. I find its worse if flicking through channels quickly. Just let it settle flick back and forth. Then it usually settles down.
  3. Looking for some help here. The Bangkok Post lists the City vs. Stoke game as being shown on Channel 9 tonight. I have True Gold and after the recent channel switcheroo it looks like channel 9 is channel 4 on True. However the True guide (I know) indicates some sort of concert at the time the City game would be shown.

Can anybody shed any light on this ? I'd rather watch the game at home but don't want to be here at 9PM and end up out of luck.

defo on channel 9. Times a bit wrong though. But I'm sure it's live. post-34940-13791492489588_thumb.jpg
  4. For that sort of freedom, I suppose yes. I think it acts as a media player / android device, so you can download android apps too, but don't quote me on that. Their Thaiexpat.tv website shows Youtube app as an example. Pretty sure you can actually. But would be cheaper to buy a HDMI cable and takes 10 seconds to plug and unplug. I use the software player on my desktop and works like a dream!

  5. CTH, are all right by me, i paid 535 baht middle of july and not had a bill yet, no deposit on the dish yet and nearly 2 months and not a bill in sightPosted Image

You won't be all smug if you suddenly get cut off will you..

This outfit are an absolute joke, absolutely tragic that they somehow managed to get the PL rights here...

true pat, but I think you're allowed 2k credit with them before they would cut you off. At least that's what it said on my last bill.
  6. I've sub for the year as want UCL and La Liga. Instant activation after payment. Almost works out at half price that way plus you're covered with 30 day money back guarantee. Full permanent HD coming soon. 2am games in HD At moment. All EPL HD.

  7. Confirmed in english on CTH FB page PLTV available beginning October

Thanks BB for the update but the fact that its been "confirmed" on the CTH FB page does not fill me with any confidence. CTH have all the hallmarks of a company that

is totally inept and we can only wait and hope. The massive income required to stay afloat is looking a bit iffy, can't get many customers,in many locations hooked up and don't send invoices.

I'm quietly confident, as my friend at the nation asked presenters at CTH, who confirmed it is defo coming.
  8. Now hearing early October for PLTV. This is according to their Facebook page. Contrary to info they messages and info my friend heard from one if the presenters that it would be available this month! Come back TRUE! All is forgiven #CTH "we don't care"

  9. Correct. But you must change to the new password and username they send you too. Dead easy took 5 mins. Watching a re-run of EPL news from this afternoon. It is in SD, but they said all major matches will be in HD, as will re-runs. Meanwhile CTH continue you to show absolute pap tonight! Flicked through and season highlights show of last season showing Fulham vs QPR! No regrets though. Satellite still more reliable than iptv in Thailand. This will be the case until we reach 100MB d/l speeds of the like virgin and BT use back home.

  10. So i have had AJS for week or so. Not so impressed, last saturday during 15.00 games, whole website almost crashed, was laggy and picture was awful,it took 30min to work normal again. Otherwise i fairly satisfied, only problem is that during games picture "surf" from Hd to sd every 10-15min,this only takes 1 min. or so but when you watch 3 games,it starts to annoy mak maa.

I still have 3 weeks to go in my order so i hope they get their servers in order by then. And in UK Sky has already started:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2413094/Richard-Keys-Andy-Gray-slip-British-TV-Al-Jazeera--Charles-Sale.html

About 365tv: So there is a third party offering illegal streams for money. I wonder where they get streams. I think this is good business idea, only pay for server and create website/code a program. And money starts flowing in.

I would be careful to pay whole season package for service like that, they cannot guarantee that this works whole season.

Lets say that PL or CTH reports a claim to DSI...

And there is many ways to access their service from outside thailand. Stealthy,Vpn,proxys.

I'm pretty sure it's he same guys that have been running Thai expat tv and they haven't had any issues with that yet. If it goes down for more than 48 hrs I can claim my money back. They are not the only people getting astro in Thailand when they shouldn't. Plenty of bars also receive the signal. I bet they're fully aware if it. One of their main presenters gave an interview saying they receive emails from Thailand about their analysis shows. Also got a 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee. I suppose anything Internet related does involve a slight risk, granted. But I'm confident these guys will make it a success. They've gone a long way and probably forked out a fair bit of cash in satellite systems and servers for them not to have researched if it was a viable service. I've got CTH for EPL. But want this for UCL. They'll have the World Cup too. So that saves forking out more cash for the RS sun box, as they have the rights.
  11. I have just mailed support to ask if it can be watched outside. I will post the answer. Given that it is accessed by Internet I don't see why not, as I can get Thai Visa, Expat TV and other Thai sites from China.

if not VPN for Thailand might work.
Good point BB do you know of a good one?
google search for "my private network VPN" I used this to get english commentary from BBC during the TRUE farce for 2010 World Cup.

  13. It's now telling me my user account is invalid even though I only signed up to the trial today.

    Rubbish.

Pat, their customer service is really good. Email them: [email protected] advise them of your issues. You should get a reply back in about an hour. Be sure to include all details of how you're operating their service, what device, operating system, maybe include a screen shot of the speed test of wifi etc....

  14. Could well be Internet connection Pat. Restart the player after closing Utorrent. Are you using wifi? This could be the problem. Is it your own private line? If a shared condo ADSL line then they could be throttling your speed. Or it could be shared with a fair few people. Again this would affect your bandwidth. From my understanding you need the bandwidth solely dedicated to this service to avoid problems like the I one you described.

UKTV Asia is good. However no guarantee they will continue free service. Why would they? Plus itv only show one game on a Tuesday. So what If I don't want to watch that one? Where else can I watch La liga, live or on demand?

  15. It's an awesome programme 365sport. I was in a dilemma about what to do for UCL. This solves the problem in one fell swoop. Plus I wanna follow Bale's progress and the on demand service is great to catch up with La Liga, not to mention other euro footy. Also looks like I don't have to worry about who getsHD rights for World Cup with this service.

Pat. When the programme opens you have the 5 channels on the right hand side. You must 'right' click to watch 'Live'. Anything from the TV guide is from the On demand service. You should make sure any other programmes are closed that require access to your bandwidth. I had issues with buffering. This was caused by Utorrent being open. Close this programme and you should be fine. I've not tested it, but I'd recommend that you use cable for this service and not a wifi connection.
