  1. He took an express train in the end, so he isn't talking about the red line system, which runs on different tracks, he is really talking about old-skool train
  2. He meant the old-skool train, SRT, run on diesel. That one has a train station at Laksi. I can't figure out whether he was trying to depart from Hualamphong or from Bang Sue. Sounds like Bang Sue.
  3. I didn't know this, interesting. Can you please explain more?
  4. We are talking about 2 different languages, Thai and Isaan, and 2 different question particles. Thai has 2 question particles, mai ไหม, shortened to มั้ย, and reu p(l)ao หรือเปล่า, shortened to รึป่าว. There is a difference in meaning and usage. pa ป่ะ is an even more shortened version of reu pao. baw บ่ or บ่อ is the Isaan form of mai, it has nothing to do with pa.
  5. This is all correct. I must admit that I wouldn't have thought Google can translate this correctly, I am duly impressed. Unfortunately, many, many posts on this board from people who know nothing about Thai but know how to Google prove that Google still has to learn a lot (and that people better believe in God than in Google). But, yes, it's learning. It's much, much better than the gibberish of 10 years ago.
  6. No, it's not. You said: You didn't say what you meant with "it". I (and it seems I was not alone) thought you were answering the question of the OP: I understood your post as an answer to this question because it followed immediately after this question. It is customary (not only on internet boards) to answer questions with an answer. If your post were an answer to the OP it would be plain wrong. You later explained you meant your post to refer to the thread title, not to the OP. If your post was an explanation of the thread title, but NOT an answer to the OP, it was correct.
  7. YMMV is something I learned from other TV members. p) Oh, what's TV?
  8. mlkik is right. "Khaojai." is a statement and means " I understand". Depending on context, the subject can be someone else, so it can mean "he understands" "Khaojai pa" is a question and means " do you understand?" pa is a contracted question particle, see above. That's almost the opposite. NB Google is not good at translating Thai.
  9. Entance of soi Ramkhamhaeng 97/2
  10. That would be unusual. Ask him about it if you know him from Siriraj anyway.
  11. Near immigration, but on the main road. If you combine it with a trip to immigration, eg for 90-day report, motorcycle from immigration to MFA consular division 3 minutes, 20 B. You need an online appointment. People who didn't have one were sent home. The legalization service of MFA at MRT Khlong Toei has a better reputation, but at this time you get only appointments at CW. Once at MFA, you get a queue number. Your appointment time doesn't matter any more. You can book appointments at times like 12.30 or 11.30. Not recomended. They don't publish a fixed lunch break from 12 to 1, like immigration does. They just worked slower and slower (because staffers would disappear for lunch ) and stopped completely at 11.15. Counters were still open, so nobody dared to leave - you wouldn't know when they start working again (it was about 12.15, slowly gathering speed). Waiting time was 2.5 hours. Its faster early morning. Express service (means same day, you still have to wait those 2.5 hours): ask actively for it. They do it for some documents (different from what they write on the website) for a 100% surcharge. Took 1.5 hours. You have to bring your receipt to the Express counters 1-5 when the time is due (they tell you how long it will take), then you are called by name. Price 200B per sticker (1 sticker per legalized signature). Express 400. Quite a few people's documents were not in order. Call the call center before you go.
  12. I want, too. I am in a risk group and not interested in dying or in being in ICU. Also not interested in getting long covid. I am anti-covid, I don't want to get it.
  13. No bleach, no cleaning, no mothballs, no nothing... Came back, room was the same mess as when i left. No problems
  14. If you wanna pay: All Kasemrad hospitals. Medconsultasia.com. Bumrungrad from time to time
  15. No. Actually, immigration has written my address in many different ways. It would be nice to know how their computer writes it.
  16. I cannot confirm this, maybe because it has never worked for me, so it's still the first time and will be the first time forever
  17. "Can" be done I am sitting over it for the second day now. Have to go to CW tomorrow anyway, so I will do it there. I will try to make them tell me how their computer writes my address. There are just too many possible permutations. Has anybody tried to submit 10 or 20 applications at the same time with all possible ways to wie the address? And see, which one they accept. I suspect the system won't like it.
  18. Alpha Pharma is in India... So there is a change from the thread I linked to: Sheryl's posts are still valid, but the price mentioned in the last post of that thread has gone down.
  19. That was less than 2 years ago. Too lazy to google, or did you really think it has changed? It hasn't changed. If you want to know what Thais take to stay awake ask a policeman. Much cheaper.
  20. Amitiza from Takeda. Not (or usually not/only very difficult) OTC. Difficult to get outside a hospital.
  21. Google "pinworms" or "oxyuriasis"
  22. What makes you think the next few months are peak Covid season? (I had my last - 4th - antigen contact in February, too, infection after 3 vaccinations last year. Last vaccination was only 2 months before infection, so the infection in February may not count as a new immunological event. Anyway, I am thinking when to get my next booster...)
  23. Yes. (No need for such a long thread)
  24. Quote from your Wikipedia link: Theraphan Luangthongkum claims the share of those having at least partial Chinese ancestry allegedly at about 40 percent of the Thai population without any proof so it's one person's guess
