I just skipped the breakfast. Shocking news. I don't go eat here often anymore. I have watched too many cooks. And often they use very unhealthy ingredients like palm oil. Then they often add sugar. Then the unhealthy rice (contains often arsenic and it needs to be washed accordingly). Then unhealthy vegetables with pesticides. Especially chilli was found with very high values.

The government blocks certain sites. You will be forced to use a VPN then ????. -

AIS mobile sim internet is so bad
Mickeymaus replied to parafareno's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
I just was surprised by your statement that you can watch videos in 8K. You don't even get 4K. YouTube will adjust the resolution automatically BUT you might be able to set it at least to 4K - 2160p. This is 4K. Try this and let me know the result. But I can imagine it already ????. I did very many tests in this thread If you click at the YouTube app at the settings you will find the stats for nerds. It will tell you what is exactly going on. -
AIS mobile sim internet is so bad

Please send me a screenshot of the "stats for nerds" that you can switch on at YouTube. For the better understanding. If a video has a max resolution of 8K this does not mean that you get this resolution. So I want to know the resolution that you really get. -
It is very long like this already and the Apple image is stunning. And you cannot hope for good weather if you search something on a map. If I remember correctly it wasn't like this long ago. At the Apple map you can almost see the "entertainers" on the Beach Road ????. I have never seen anything like this. At the link from @KuhnLA you can switch between Apple and Google and other maps. Apple is much better. I never had an Apple device but this time they really impressed me. Will visit "old" places with the Apple map. Looking around in Pattaya was fun already.

AIS mobile sim internet is so bad
Mickeymaus replied to parafareno's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
I had AIS 30 Mbps and DTAC 30 Mbps unlimited. AIS had higher upload and higher peak speeds. But when it came to 4K YouTube videos DTAC was the clear winner at least here at my location in Central Pattaya. The performance of DTAC did not have this high peaks that AIS showed. But it had a much better sustained bit rate. -
It is very long time like this already. And @KuhnLA showed that there is a perfect satellite image. The best that I ever saw. In the left corner at the bottom it says Apple Maps. Apple better than Google? Wow.

I have thought the "Mafia Vape Shop" nearby (see my picture) ????. By the way. Is it not forbidden to sell such stuff here? Okay - the name clearly says that it belongs to the Mafia. But why don't I get such a great map that you have in Google Maps?
-
I'm using Android 11 and here the latest version of Google Maps. What kind of drives me insane is this "fog" if you switch to satellite display type - see picture. I googled a lot but couldn't find any explanation or solution to get rid of it. How can I see this lovely family resort in all its beauty? Any ideas?

If you want to be more incognito then you have to use a VPN. I always use the Opera Browser for this.

Central Pattaya Fireworks Festival ????. According to the news apparently 400,000 were in Central Pattaya and saw it. Whatever... ???? And I tried to use the 4G DTAC internet with my SIM card router in my condo in Central Pattaya. They also wrote that the cellphone towers were overloaded ????. I did many tests throughout the day with DTAC (see picture). Also during the fireworks (yes, I was at home) and I was surprised. I had better performance that day than on some other days. I have no explanation for this. I am not far away from the Central Festival Mall next to the beach. For me nothing was overloaded. Regarding the entire test period I can only repeat what I have written before already. Here at my location I could use the internet (almost) without any problems. However, I had (often) problems with 4K YouTube videos. Lower resolutions were mostly no problem. But you will have to test at your location different providers with your devices and the Internet contents that you use. Also remember that my tests were tests that only included me as an internet user. If you're not the only internet user, 4G might not be fast enough. More users may require higher bandwidth due to higher data volume.

The incognito window is no "sandbox". It is just there to surf incognito.

Police Raid Pattaya Club At 3 A.M., 16 Hookah Burners Seized
Mickeymaus replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The club was still operating at 3am and full with customers. And in addition the Hookahs. The police enforced the law ????????????. Blame the club that obviously does not care about laws. This is very bad behaviour. -
So here are the promised results for the location comparison. Don't expect too much. We tested the same packages of AIS and DTAC at the same time with the same 3BB test server in Chonburi. My device was in Central Pattaya and the other one was in a not so densely populated area - about 1 km east of Mini Siam in Pattaya. The AIS and DTAC packages were 30 Mbps with unlimited data. First we checked at my place whether both devices are comparable in speed and yes, to my surprise they were. My device was the SIM card router and the other device was an older iPhone 6s Plus. I don't have that much data for AIS because I had this idea just before my AIS SIM expired. Nevertheless, I bought the same AIS and DTAC SIM cards for the test partner. With router and all SIM cards the costs were now a whopping 1400 (fourteen hundred) Baht ????. I hope you appreciate that ????. Regardless of location, there was one major difference between AIS and DTAC network performance - the upload speed. At DTAC it was much lower. At both SIMs and locations the speeds mostly slowed down in the evening. At my location in Central Pattaya the speed (particularly download) was mostly slower than at the other location. In general, DTAC seemed limited to around 30 Mbps at my location. But that was not the case at the other location. AIS showed higher speed variations than DTAC. I was able to reach very high speeds with AIS, especially very early in the morning (not shown in the pictures. I did a lot of tests alone). Tomorrow I'll post the results that I got during the Fireworks Festival in Central Pattaya. Did all those many people slow down my DTAC internet connection? There was a number in the news of hundreds of thousands of people. Whatever... There were very many and many streaming.

Police Raid Pattaya Club At 3 A.M., 16 Hookah Burners Seized
Mickeymaus replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
What surprises me is that the police are doing a lot of law enforcement at the moment. What has changed? If they keep it up, they might not only find hookahs but even hookers on Walking Street one day. -
