You helped me a lot already to understand many things. If I order something at Lazada who pays the delivery - Lazada or you? I guess Lazada (paid in the end by me). And Lazada organises the pickup of the order at your shop. So you don't have much to do with the delivery. Is this correct? Only if the seller has his own fleet then Lazada doesn't care.
-
It's good to know that Kerry has to pay for it too. I felt sorry for the seller. Can you choose the delivery company or does Lazada assign it to you?
-
What do you have to pay as seller if the delivery is returned to you?
-
I always got calls. At the Kerry tracking system their calls are registered. I don't know at the other companies. But if they didn't want to deliver they did not talk to me and simply hung up. So for their system they contacted me. And I tried to call them back. Nobody picked up. Only one time the courier asked me if he can come the next day. No problem then. It is honest.
-
No, he called me so that the call is shown in their system. He didn't say anything. But when I asked "Lazada?" he imidiately hung up. I could see later in the tracking system that he called me at this time. But bad for him... At our gate all vehicles are registered and filmed. He never was here. And when he called me I went immediately down to the parking area. No Kerry and also the guards confirmed this. I've also often had that I couldn't be reached, that I'd asked for a different delivery date, whatever. But in all these cases I received the delivery. This was the first time that it was returned to the seller. And I need these things urgently... I also had already that they tried to deliver a flat envelope instead of a bigger parcel containing the product. I always make unpacking videos. Gets on my nerves but seems to be necessary. So far I didn't get wrong or broken products - not yet...

I also have a very big problem with Kerry. Just a few days ago there was the message in Lazada "Attempt to deliver your parcel from Kerry was unsuccessful due to recipient reject at doorstep." I would reject a delivery that I ordered and never saw?! Nobody was here. We have a gate with several security guards. They didn't see Kerry. I sent several emails to Kerry. No answer. I called them and 2 times I got the message that they will call back but nothing happened. The next day the package was back on the way to the seller. Does anyone know what this means for the seller in terms of cost? Anyway - the seller was kind enough to send it to me again. He didn't ask for it but I promised him that I will refund him any expenses outside Lazada if this happens again. The delivery order has now been in Kerry's system for several days already, but hasn't yet been picked up by Kerry. Perhaps they don't want to deliver to me anymore?! Can I find out which delivery company the seller uses? I will not order again if this is Kerry.

Private sector against Pheu Thai’s 600-baht minimum wage proposal
Mickeymaus replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If they increase the wages the prices will even rise further. And then increase the wages again? And then the prices will increase again and then... -
Formalin Found with Crispy Squid and Cow Stomach for Eateries
Mickeymaus replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Yes. I've learned my lesson. I had extreme diarrhea after eating in a restaurant. I didn't think anything bad. Happens sometimes. A short time later I got pain in both knee joints. I almost couldn't walk for a year and a half. I went to many doctors and tried a lot of medication. Nothing changed anything and I stopped taking the useless pills. Then, from one day to the next, it went away. Probably bacterial arthritis (reactive arthritis). Not everyone is so lucky that the problem goes away. -
Public Health Ministry Opposes 4 A.M.Closing Time For Night Venues
Mickeymaus replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Many people oppose this 4 o'clock closing time. Only very few will benefit but many others will suffer. There is enough party, sex and booze business already. For residential areas even 2 o'clock is too late already. Very many noisy open air entertainment venues are at such locations. And normally they don't care about others. If they even have a licence at all... And there needs to be the infrastructure for this later opening time. Emergency services and police for instance. All will pay for this. If they benefit or not. In respect of Covid. Don't forget that we had to use the mask everywhere outside of the entertainment venues but not inside the entertainment venues. Very strange but obviously this "industry" is very powerful and got special regulations. Will be interesting to see what will happen regarding extended closing times. Will they get what they want again? Will they simply not care about laws and regulations? Stay tuned ???? -
Old men drinking a beer at breakfast time in bars along beach road pattaya.
Mickeymaus replied to jack71's topic in Pattaya
In Soi Buakhao you can see many sitting there and drinking very early. Often the same faces every day. Then I always ask myself what they do in the evening. Sleeping because they are already drunk or starting a new drinking session?! -
I always ask myself how many of these labels show accurate information. And then the calories. Here the smallest can of Mackerel you can buy - recommended serving size is 1/2 can. So it doesn't have many calories. This is perhaps 1 bite. BUT on the positive side there is the allergy warning that it contains fish ????????⚠️????. And often the text is so small that you can't read it anyway without magnifying it.

Old men drinking a beer at breakfast time in bars along beach road pattaya.
Mickeymaus replied to jack71's topic in Pattaya
I don't drink alcohol too, except some beers in the evening ???????????? And I drink it pretty quickly because the taste of beer here is unbearable. I'm always glad when none of that nasty beer sits in the fridge overnight so I can start a clean new day the next morning. -
For retired expats What do you do for excitement
Mickeymaus replied to kingstonkid's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
"I know there are lot of "retired" guys that spend their time at bars." I live in Central Pattaya - the "entertainment" place of Thailand. A big Red light district... Neither I nor any of my friends ever go to a bar. Too much noise, too many "entertainers", too many alcoholics you see there every day. And this red light district vibe - unbearable. So if I didn't have a better idea to enjoy my life, I guess it really would be over. What I do? There is always something to do. Shopping, meeting friends (at home), internet, watching movies, cooking, travelling... -
I don't understand the problem that Google has with Pattaya. Perhaps a kind of censorship because of the special nightlife ????. I checked now other locations for instance in Europe. The Apple images seem to be newer but the quality is sometimes very bad. Look at these two images - first is Apple and the second is Google.

Pattaya Police raid Posh 69 club for second time in a week !
Mickeymaus replied to Social Media's topic in Pattaya News
It was long overdue that the police starts to clean up the nightlife at least a little bit... ???????????? Many of these venues think they are above the law and they do what they want. They don't care about closing times, don't have any licences, might not even have a building permit and did they ever pay taxes? We also should not forget the recent Mountain B Club desaster. You see here at this club. They were raided just recently and they still continue like before. And this is just 1 example. Obviously many venues don't expect any law enforcement... -
You're right about San Francisco. Google is better there than Apple. I added an image. You should not have used San Francisco as an example ????????????. About 30 years ago I lived in this area for a while - Foster City. I just visited my old home on Google Maps. Still the same. It was a great time there and it makes me feel a little bit sad that I don't live there anymore. On the other hand I was always worried about earthquakes. There were tiny ones all the time. Could then, for example, hear the dishes in the closet or things hanging on the wall. But now a good satellite image of Pattaya would be more helpful for me ????. Will go to the Terminal 21 mall today and visit the San Francisco area there ????.
