  1. My goodness. Sorry, but a little bit naive. You cannot imagine that the noise moves to you? For instance the area where I bought my condo was completely quiet when I bought it and this for very many years. Now it is surrounded by very many often extremely noisy bars. I would not buy anything here anymore. I am thinking about selling my unusable condo - if I find an idiot that buys this noisy condo now. I never will buy a condo again in Thailand. It is a bigger condo and I have lost a lot of money... And please no discussion like double glazed windows or whatever. This is naive too. Believe me I have done much better things than this for a lot of money. It is not easy especially to block deep frequencies. And sometimes even the floor vibrates.
  2. This was my equipment. And the metal things for making it a bit higher where I couldn't fix it higher otherwise.
  3. As kid they gave it to me. Today I always ask for Whiskey but sadly they always come with a needle. Very good dentists will even numb the area where they sting.
  4. From my experience 9000 BTU should be more than enough. For non-inverters - an oversized unit will not take out much moisture from the air because the compressor runs always only a short time. On the other hand an undersized unit could make the air very try because the compressor runs long and so more water will condense at the cooling fins.
  5. The problem are the entertainment venues in residential areas next to hotels and condominiums. If nobody gets disturbed then I guess nobody will care much. But you have to understand that hotels need customers and people in residential areas should be able to use their homes. They need to sleep. Also their kids need to sleep. Main problem here in Thailand are the many noisy open air bars and even open air discos. And the problem is that most of these entertainment venues don't really care about anything other than their profits. And from my personal experience - they can do whatever they want and they will do it. You as resident have very little influence - or better no power at all.
  6. I did it many years ago. I am old and forgetful in the meantime. Thanks to Google Note I can remember my TM30 login data. Perhaps someone who did this recently can help you better.
  7. Before Covid many convenience stores here in Pattaya didn't care. Only the supermarkets. Didn't try recently. Do they still care now? I personally hate it too. If I want to do my shopping and also want to buy my beer then I always have to avoid these times. And is not only 2 to 5pm. It is also midnight until 11am.
  8. Then there is the question why so many unlicensed entertainment venues exist. Recently a raid at a big entertainment venue here in Pattaya - no license for business, liquor and I guess music too. Then the burned down Mountain B entertainment venue. There were many others (big ones) that were in the news that had no license. And the small ones?
  9. You can show them for instance in the YouTube app on the TV or in the YouTube app on Android. I will explain it here for the YouTube app on Android. You click on the user icon in this case the P. Then Settings and under the first entry you should find "Enable stats for nerds". This you have to switch on. For my tests I used the TV.
  10. No problem. Here you find everything that you need. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline
  11. I think you are talking about an implant. 40K for a crown would be too much. I will start with my implant in December. First he has to build up the bone structure. Pain or not - I am worried ????????????
  12. But then first they should check the licences of such businesses. I doubt that they pay taxes if they don't have a licence.
  13. What do you think? I just came back from Friendship here in Pattaya. Was a great place to buy pork filet because of the price. Now it costs about 50 percent more than last year. And that's just one example. Don't expect the same prices as in previous years.
  14. I think the government wants to decide on the 15th of November. Now they want to build up pressure. They are very powerful. "She also wanted tougher action on establishments that break the law." or even better remove the law. Then nobody can break it then anymore ????????????.
  15. Yes, more party, booze and sex tourists! And free earplugs for all others!
  16. A taut fishing line where they land. As good as invisible.
  17. We should save energy anyway now...
  18. Not only the light, but also the noise-generating devices should be switched off. Maybe they should even start with that first. ????????????
  19. Always wash your hands after holding bananas in your hands. The inside of the fruit does not appear to be as problematic in terms of pesticides.
  20. They have a gambling obsession. Look what happened to Sihanoukville in Cambodia. Will Pattaya be next? I guess it is just a question of time.
  21. Dear Mr. Heinecke. I feel for you. But did you try sites like gofundme already?
  22. Driving without helmet... This guy should have been easy to spot.
  23. Obviously many criminals here in Thailand are not scared when implementing such big projects. In this case the question is more what went wrong because it was noticed.
  24. If you are worried about arsenic then google arsenic and rice. Better avoid rice then ????.
  25. I will look for him in Pattaya. Among all the quality tourists here, he will surely stand out.
