  1. I didn't know this Elmex Gelee. The dentist that gave it to me the first time was my girlfriend at this time.
  2. At this occasion...This in the picture is every dentist's enemy. Have been using it for about 30 years and never had cavities again. It's not cheap and only needs to be used once a week. I always let it work for 15 minutes. And very important - do not swallow it. It is highly concentrated fluoride.
  3. Root canal treatment is not allways necessary. But the tooth might die over time if you have bad luck. I have crowns without root canal treatment. No problems even after very many years.
  4. What an idea to extract a tooth if it is not necessary.... And also the teeth next to it and on the opposite side might / will get a problem over time if it is missing. I paid for a zirconia crown (also molar) 12000 Baht in Pattaya. They are said to be the best crowns and are completely white. But you can take cheaper ones especially in this area where nobody will see it. Recently I lost a molar tooth - got loose over the years. And now I am thinking about an implant. About 50000 Baht. Not this amount worries me but the whole operation. Many sessions at the dentist...
  5. Regarding the video - better not drink and film at the same time...
  6. My first apartment in the western world was on the second floor. Underneath on the first floor was a sex shop. Now many years later my situation has improved dramatically. Now I live in the middle of the red light district Central Pattaya ????. I have been here for more than 2 decades. Good are the Baht Busses and the shopping options. Unbearable in the meantime is the noisy red light district. Wasn't like this before when I (sadly) bought my condo. Please no "why don't you move" discussions... ????
  7. Today 3BB has been down for several hours already here at my location in Central Pattaya. Luckily I bought recently a 4G router ❤️❤️❤️. So no real problem for me anymore ????.
  8. Online you get many products offered and can compare prices. In stores you only see a small fraction of the products and you have no idea if you get it for a good price. In the meantime I avoid stores if possible.
  9. Inflation of 6 to 7 percent? Where and with which products? My experience is more than 20 to 30 percent and some products even more...
  10. One month 4G SIM router usage is over and here is my experience. This is at my location with my devices. I also compared the same Internet packages at the same time with the same speedtest server at different locations here in Pattaya - a friend of mine had the same packages. About this experience the next days. I think that 3BB VDSL is too expensive for what you get for 631 Baht a month. The first picture shows the connection speed that I could get and what I really get with VDSL (at my location in Central Pattaya). The next picture shows a 3BB fiber package with much higher speeds. With taxes both packages cost the same amount - 631 Baht per month. My VDSL download connection speed shown in the first picture is 70410 Kbps what is about 69 Mbps. The fiber package promises 1000 Mbps. My upload connection speed is 24508 Kbps what is about 24 Mbps. The fiber package promises 100 Mbps. Now not everyone can get fiber especially in condos. But for me VDSL is overpriced compared to the fiber package. Also in respect to 4G SIM packages - the 4G packages with unlimited data and 30 Mbps that I used are only 235 a month (at Lazada). And MUCH cheaper options are available at Lazada if you have no problem with certain data or speed limits (you will not get these offers at the shops of the service providers). But my question was can 4G replace 3BB VDSL? Therefore now to my usage experience in respect of 3BB VDSL, AIS 4G and Dtac 4G. At normal Internet usage I did not see any difference. Only when playing very high resolution videos the situation was different. It gets a bit technical now - sorry. First a quick explanation of 2160p, 1440p and (the here not used) 1080p video resolution. 2160p is 4K or UHD - Ultra High Definition. 1080p is Full HD - many older TVs use this or even less. And 1440p - QHD or Quad HD - is a compromise between both. In YouTube you can select the quality that you want. The higher the resolution number the higher the Internet speed needs to be. YouTube videos with resolution of up to 1440p were (mostly) no problem. Where the problems started was with 2160p (4K) videos with 24 and especially with 60 fps (frames per second). Here you have to understand how video compression works. In simple words - the more pixel changes you have from frame to frame the more data will be needed. This is why I selected mostly videos with many pixel changes. Here an example: https://youtu.be/ofUOATVjKF0 To summarise it. 3BB VDSL had no problems at all. The same wasn't always the case for AIS and Dtac especially at night time (but again - all this at my location). So if I like to watch 4K videos without any problems then 3BB VDSL would be my choice. Next would be Dtac with buffering sometimes at 4K and AIS with much more buffering. But in the end there is no other way than to test the 4G packages at your location with your equipment and the things that you use on the Internet - Netflix or whatever. Now it gets very technical. If you don't watch 4K videos there is no need to continue reading. First a brief explanation of the important data in the following pictures explained with the help of picture 3. In the 3rd line you see the current resolution 3840x2160 @24 (frames per second). Then you see the current Connection Speed - 59884 Kbps (at this moment). Then you see the Network Activity. Whenever data needs to be downloaded you will see the downloaded KB (here 0 at the moment). Black in the graph means no data were downloaded for this period of time - so other additional Internet usage will be no problem. And then there is the Buffer Health. This means for how long the video could be played if no data is downloaded - at this moment 17 seconds. Shown here for 3BB - so no problems. Picture 4 shows an example for Dtac. The current connection speed is 14907 Kbps. At this moment it downloaded 805 KB and in the graph you see constant downloads. The buffer health is only 3.58 seconds. This means that you are close to a possible video stop and the following buffering. Picture 5 shows AIS. The buffer health is only 0.04 seconds and the video stopped and is buffering - you can see the dots that show this. Picture 6 shows AIS with a video resolution of 1440p (the next lower resolution value at YouTube but much higher than the 1080p HD resolution). An amazing change happens. There is no problem at all anymore. The buffer is even 39 seconds. Mostly there were no problems with this resolution. The last picture 7 shows Dtac buffering at a 4K video but this time at a video with 60 fps instead of 24 fps. So what does this mean? If I didn't switch to 2160p (4K) there were at least at my location (mostly) no problems with YouTube videos. This might not be the same with other streaming networks like Netflix and others. As far as I know YouTube has servers in Thailand to avoid problems. I've tried to give you an idea of what to expect. And I've been trying to figure out if I can replace 3BB VDSL with 4G. And again - yes, but with sometimes (Dtac) and often (AIS) problems with 4K videos.
  11. I loved the early morning crowing of the many fighting cocks there ???? ????????????????????????????
  12. If you need any spare parts let me know it ????????????. The last Seagate that left me ????????????. But I had a backup ????????????.
  13. Move to Pattaya. You might have extreme noise every night - apart from Buddha and election days ????????????. But normally they stop BEFORE 5am.
  14. If the motor is not spinning anymore then you will need such a company. If only the arm hangs (clicking) you might be able to fix it. I did this for several HDs already. Of course I did not open it. If the board is broken you need an identical one. But the BIOS chip on the new board needs to be replaced with the old one. Soldering work. Perhaps better at a computer repair shop.
  15. Why does he know that the data are damaged? Then the harddisk still must be able to read and write. Otherwise you will not know this. If this still works and he can not recover data with software for this purpose then you can try such an often not cheap service.
  16. How is this possible. There is a power supply that would have died first I think. If it is just the board of the harddisk perhaps you can get a replacement (used or new).
  17. Who are typical overstayers? Criminals or other people hiding here. Dead people perhaps even killed. People who don't care about regulations. People who can't get a visa for whatever reason - age, financials. Any others? I think looking for such people at entertainment venues is a bit unfocused. But perhaps they wanted to check for drugs and business licences anyway.
  18. I've often thought about moving from my noisy location in the red light district of Central Pattaya to the quieter area of Wong Amat Beach. Two things have blocked me so far - the longer walk from the beach to the Naklua Road to catch a Bath Bus and the Soi Dogs on this way (I got bitten by one once, but that in central Pattaya). I have not been there for a while. Did things change in the meantime? Regarding Jomtien - with better infrastructure there I would move tomorrow.
  19. The last case that you mentioned is theft if you are not the legal owner of the money. Other heirs might have a problem with that.
  20. Yes - they should make an appointment with the venues. I will never forget the bar owner in LK Metro. Closing time was midnight. Surprisingly at 23:30 on this evening he kicked out the customers because the police will come and check that the bars are closed at midnight.
  21. This minister is trying to attract families and other quality tourists... But wait a minute. Why doesn't he talk about improving the infrastructure for such tourists? Maybe simple things like public toilets and changing rooms on the beaches? No special entry fees for tourists at many sights? But no - he wants longer opening hours for the sex and entertainment businesses. Good. How about this - entertainment venues near residential areas such as condominiums and hotels - midnight closing time. All other areas where nobody will be disturbed - closing time 4 or no closing time at all. This will lead to a "natural" zoning over time. Zoning is more than overdue at many locations. There are people that have to work and need sleep. There are also children that need to sleep. There are not only party, booze and sex tourists...
  22. In respect of articles on the Internet. Often you see a confusing advice on the Internet that ends with the contact data of the lawyer... ???? Best go to the court and talk to the lawyers at the court. All five (they were in the room at this time) were extremely friendly and I had the impression that they didn't do such a Probate Procedure for the first time ????. They were extremely helpful without asking for money. And yes. It is this court: Pattaya Provincial Court 038 252 131 https://maps.app.goo.gl/H8me9tf1S2EEmq6R8
  23. I quoted from the link. You are correct. They should have written an by the court accepted ID.
  24. Below a list of documents needed - from the link below. There you will find also other valuable information about the probate procedure. But there is no need to worry. Simply go to the court and talk to a lawyer there. They will tell you what is needed in your situation. It is that simple. And you also can find the required lawyer there for relatively little money. "In order to file a Probate or Administrative Application in Thailand, you need to prepare the following documents and follow the checklist below: Passport of the Deceased Person Death Certificate of the Deceased PersonMarriage Certificate (in case the Deceased person is married) Birth Certificate of the children of the Deceased (if any) List of the estate with the copy of its registration document Passport of the all heirs (including those who have passed away before the Deceased person) Passport of the Will’s beneficiary (if any) Passport of the person who will be the ExecutorConsent Letter from all heirs appointing the Executor (to appoint Executor) Wills and Testament (if any) Relative/Family Tree Please do note that all document must be in Thai or translate to Thai language. If the document was issued overseas or the Deceased person passed away overseas, all documents must be certified and legalized by the Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate of that country. Once you prepare the above document already, you can pass it to the lawyer. Then the lawyer will start the case of Probate or Administrative Application as explained on the next step." https://siam-attorney.com/probate-administrative-thailand/
  25. Just one more remark to SMR and CMR drives. Now I sit at my big computer and copy about 25 GB from one 2TB Seagate SMR to an other 2TB Seagate SMR. The speed goes down to about 35 MB/s. Don't buy such drives if you want to move big amounts of data often. With small amounts of data it will be much quicker.
