Thai police banned from collecting fees for red checkpoint boxes
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Correct. I paid before in samui and someone had come over our wall into the garden at night and then went out again over another wall. Wife called the police who arrived in 5 minutes and one was the head cop in the area who arrived with his vest on , no shirt but did remember his revolver with very large bullets 😄 -
Thai police banned from collecting fees for red checkpoint boxes
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
How are they going to enforce this ? 😀 Pretty sure on samui the only way you get the box outside your place is paying for it , they ain't coming to put it up and check it 1-2 times a day for free 🙈. -
Thailand Slashes Airfare Prices by 30% for New Year Holiday Travelers
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It says koh samui but you can bet there will be a total of about 5 flights discounted and they will be the ones at around 6am from BKK. Every few days bkk airways sends me emails about sales etc and every time without fail samui is never on their discount list . -
Thai transwomen fight over foreign client on Phuket’s Bangla Road
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
They seem to like fighting a lot . Surely they could start their own version of UFC and make money that way instead of mugging or robbing people 😄 -
If possible on long flights I fly business class and book a flight that usually leaves Thailand around midnight so it's near my sleeping time. On the plane I don't drink anything apart from water and after the first served meal I put earplugs in and sleep mask on and sleep for next 6-8 hours usually, just in time to wake for breakfast.

Thai housemaid’s 100 million baht fortune hits a legal snag
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
A Thai and their foreign partner can own a company and the house will be registered to that company as the place the company is run from or registered too and the Thai can have 51% and their non Thai partner 49% of company ownership. The dodgy ones are a foreigner owns a company and registers the home to that company. They own 49% of company but the other part is named to nominees who don't know each other usually etc and and are paid a few thousand to use their name in the company. The Thai nominees never usually have anything to do with the accounts or business once it is set up and the foreigner just pays taxes made up by a lawyer . -
Thai housemaid’s 100 million baht fortune hits a legal snag
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
So are they saying every foreigner in samui that has a home set up in a similar way to own it will basically lose their home to the state when they die and their families will get nothing ? Seems that way from the way this maid has been treated and why are they not going after the people who set all this up for the french woman ? The lawyers and corrupt people in land office !! Plus I'm guessing if the maid is getting nothing then the woman's ex husband isn't getting his 2 villas either 🤔 -

Three confess to attacking monk at TV station in Bangkok - video
ronster replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Don't believe that 3 guys got together to attack him just based on their personal feelings. Some dodgy reason for it I'm sure . -
If you are needing rescued from a hill then you probably have had something serious happen to you . This usually involves quick response to locate and extract the person and get them medical attention asap at a hospital. Unfortunately the speed of the elephants doing everything they are suggesting as well as time needed to transport them to the location would make this system non viable.

Shooting Over Loan Dispute Claims Four Lives in Samut Prakan
ronster replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
How much was the loan to make the guy go out and kill them all and then himself ! Mental 😳 -
I too fail to understand why they can't make it easier for people who have lived here married to a Thai for 10,20,30 years or more . It's the same crap every time over and over for what ?? If you don't have loads of money in the bank what difference would it make as you get zero here as a foreigner from the government. The sitting on the bed in the bedroom is just 🙈

Man busted in UK smuggling cannabis from Thailand to clear debt
ronster replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How did he get it on the plane in Thailand and did he actually stay in Dubai and then check in there with the weed or was he just sitting in the airport for a few hours ? These drug couriers like trying to get caught by stopping a lot , instead of one direct flight it seems 🙈 -
BREAKING NEWS British lawyer latest to fall in Laos alcohol poisoning tragedy
ronster replied to webfact's topic in World News
If they weren't all staying in the hostel then it would suggest the drinks were consumed in a bar somewhere or from some roadside vendor . Why I never trust these cocktail sellers you see at walking street type markets . The bottles are shown as premium spirits , but the low price and taste proves they certainly ain't . -
