  1. You and I both know at the end of the day he will get an agent and his extension pronto. Where you confuse me is you have in comments stated 1-not to use agents 2- use agents 3- you can assist personally and lastly 4- you recommend and agent in KK. You state: ''The thread is not about pros and cons of using agents.'' But then you go on to do exactly that ?? You state: ''Might suit you. Up to the individual. I prefer to not use an agent. I assist others when they need an agent.'' Now you suggest not to use an agent but seek your assistance ?? What do you do that an agent can't do?? You have some special connections at immigration?? You state: ''Use an agent to obtain extension based on retirement. There are couple of well known agents in KK that have net sites and you can chat with them directly. And now a total reversal and you're recommending agents ?? Is there something I am missing here?? Which of these states are we to believe??
  2. Really, The old guy has been extending for 15 years, brought 50M into the economy, give him a break already
  3. Of course it's relative, had he used an agent he 1- would not be stressed out 2- would have made at least 40K baht putting his money to work. I think that's assisting the OP. How my I ask you assist people when they need an agent?
  4. Chill out dude, I define stupid as somebody that can't do the math in two minutes and understand one can make 4X the 15K you pay an agent by investing the 800K baht in a CDB Plus while at the same time never having to even face an IO.
  5. Agent for 15K is a no brainer. I can make 56K baht interest at Itau on the 800K, an upside of 41K and not have to deal with an IO at all. Crazy to park 24K USD in a Thai bank making nothing.
  6. <removed> Show me were I said a word about gas although that would add credence to prohibiting personal BBQs. You hang your hat on the Condo Act yet when you live in a condo you are obligated to uphold the conveyance and regulations of that condo. Any condo so irresponsible as to allow BBQs other than one provided in a common area by the condo association is not a place an intelligent person would live. You imply since it is not stated in some half-wit Thai Condo Act that gives you and the other 600 residents the right to ignore the Condo C&Rs. So potentially there could be 600 fires burning on balconies plus scores more wherever people wish to set up a fire on the common areas. The Condo Act, yet another fine piece of legislation by the same politicians that allows Thai roads to be the #1 most deadly in the World. Tell me what low budget condo did you live in that allowed all these fires ? ''Possibly permitted in a designated area with built-in BBQ. Not some Yahoos setting up a BBQ on the grounds wherever they choose to do so as op described. Why you keep digging yourself a hole over something so blantantly clear. Can you not see if 50 different groups decide it's a nice day to cook out. If this association has no rules prohibiting this, which is highly unlikely, they need to write some up. Just one of many rights you give up living in a condo. Buy a house and BBQ inside, outside, in your bathroom is just fine.''

  9. 99% of new US infections are unvaccinated. Pfizer is very good. With billions on the line of course people will be paid to plant spins. Would you prefer Sinovac or AZ ? Or get sick as **** and join the herd. India they have little choice with 436,000 dead. Don't believe for a second claim of seven day average deaths --zero, jaja
  10. Absolutely systemic through out this culture of greed. Chief Joe had it all but his lust for greed will be his down fall. This is the norm rather than the exception. We will never know if the victim was a drug dealer or not. What's insane and brings up the question '' Why the **** am I in a place like this ? '', is that victim could have been any member of this forum. RTP thinks you have a fat bank account, they have plenty of drugs laying around. Pull you over, plant the dope and you got the bag on your head if you don't hand over everything in your account. It's so easy and gets easier with repetition and practice. No moral compass and driven by greed and envy, what stops them accept the dumbasses forgot they had CC cams all over headquarters. Likely for me it's the straw the broke the camels back and I get me 2nd Pfizer and‎ haste luego
  11. I mentioned the US only as a road map as to what to expect under certain circumstances. The US experience taught us two things, (1) vaccines work very well (2) opening up puts the unvaccinated at huge risk of infection with Delta. Clearly there is cause and effect working here. Not you but many here preach just open up and live with it. The US has shown us the price to be paid and it's brutal. I say stay the course and keep serious pressure on the Government to provide more and more vaccines ( picking up speed ) plus financial assistance for those in need ( got a long way to go there, a one-time 3000baht is a joke ).
  12. OK , lets walk down each option based on knowledge gained in the US. They are 50% vaccinated with superior vaccines, they opened up. Two days ago the US confirmed 569,000 new cases. For Thailand to be on par you would expect to have 126,500 new cases yet we had only 17,000 with only 12% vaccinated with questionable vaccines. Why the vast difference, the shutdown is working. Open up and there is no reason to believe within weeks based on only 12% vaccinated we would be on par with the US. If you disagree tell me what you base it on. Does opening up out weigh ending up on par with the US with 100,000 plus cases per day and 1500 deaths per day? I can't see how, enlighten me with facts of a country that opened up with a 12% vaccination rate which was at the same time experiencing record highs in new cases and deaths?
  13. What it comes down to is if you believe the restrictions in place do more harm than good. Though far from ideal one has to believe they save more lives than opening up and everyone going back to work. Simple logic tells you this. The US took the screw it lets open up approach and two days ago recorded over 500,000 new cases in one day ! Difference is we have 88% with no vaccination or just one jab of the Chinese <deleted>. That's 60,000,000 sitting ducks all crammed together. Opening up now is the worst of the not so great options we have. The Government has indeed stepped up vaccinations to 400-500K per day, at that pace 60M by January. Something positive. Opening up I see no way we won't be right back where we are now in January or sooner with a 40-50K death count.
  14. Indeed TH is coming off a spike which the majority of countries have gone through. The two most important metrics, deaths 10085 and total cases / million 15748 combined to make TH way down on the list. To judge TH based on an outlier of a peak is not that representative. What's important is how many have died and how many as a proportion of the population are affected. What this does tell us is only a fool would suggest it's time to open up.
  15. Always pushing the boundaries. Currency manipulation, copywrite infringement, stealing intellectual property, hacking, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South China Sea and now WMD in the form of Covid. Yet no country draws a line. Twenty years ?????????
  16. Vaccinations way up over 500K per day. New cases peaked at 23K per day a week ago down to 17K US new cases 89851 TH 17139 / death US 863 TH 297 / total deaths US 642082 TH 10085 US is doing a wonderful job there sport. US has 4.5 times the population of Thailand, US has 64 times as many deaths and has had 39 times as many cases. By any metric you use Thailand is doing very well but that doesn't corollate to your rant against the Government of which you are a guest. Go back to where you are safe and your Government is far superior, Bye
  17. It takes real leadership to do such things. As likely here as getting the Taliban to shave and take a bath.
  18. Your absolutely right but letting a lethal virus go unchecked will only make it worse for the poor. What you propose will ending up killing many of them. You see super spreading in the factories, the labor camps. You think that magically is going away. The answer is stay the course 6 more months and the Government comes up with real assistance to the people in need. But then that calls for leadership and thats the problem. You tell me how an out of control pandemic gives the poor a brighter future? (crickets)
  19. Just let it rip, the US has 50% vaccinated with the good stuff and two days ago had 1359 deaths / 567,800 new cases/ 860 per 100K cases. Thailand has 12% vaccinated with vaccines that aren't worth warm ****. No reason to think that in this culture with people crowded together and many living under the same roof it likely will be worse. How long till the hospitals overflow with death and dying, unable to take other serious cases, maybe a month or two. Then you know what, yes, back to total shut down after the insane loss of another 10,000 lives. Sounds like a real bright idea?
  20. Chinese are really good at producing and spreading deadly virus's, but producing vaccines worth a **** , not so much.
