The Battle of Sedan: The Anatomy of Failure For General Huntziger, no "benefit of the doubt" as suggested there. His actions betray him as do his political opinions. He was pro-Nazi. Like some other French generals. Read, if you understand the language, the voluminous and detailed volume 'Le Choix de la Dêfaite' by Annie Lacroix-Riz. (my copy is unfortunately part eaten by termites) And also: https://historiens-en-colere-forum.com/la-trahison-militaire-francaise-de-mai-juin-1940/ Or, for a brief review in English, see here: https://www.german-foreign-policy.com/en/news/detail/9558

  3. "COVID-19: The Great Reset is a guide for anyone who wants to understand how COVID-19 disrupted our social and economic systems, and what changes will be needed to create a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable world going forward." WHOOPEE !!! I am sorry to have to inform you that "Covid-19 - The Great Reset" was authored by Klaus Schwab of The World Economic Forum. Those two names Klaus Schwab and The World Economic Forum should be enough to tell you what you need to know about the book. Clearly you have done no research on the matter or you would know what the World Economic Forum is about. I mean its true agenda, which they conceal. Although they sometimes slip up. In their own words: "You will own nothing and be happy !" In other words, they, the financial oligarchs will own and control everything. A Reset to seize wealth and to estabish total oligarchic control of society. It continues at an accelerating pace. It did not pause with the end of lockdowns. I suggest doing a bit of background research on Covid-19. Starting with, say, Event 201 in October 2019. And the vaccine industry. See for example https://www.aninconvenientstudy.com/ And the WHO; such as where its funding comes from. No, not principally from governments. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is the principal funder and can dictate terms of use. I warn you not to rely too heavily on the search engines whose algorithms are programmed to further official narratives. You have to dig. To find chinks in the armour. It can be time-consuming.
  4. Not sure what sort of government you have now but I guess its better than that of Hoxha. And as regards Trump, maybe best to wait a bit and judge him by results rather than intentions. Quite a few, including myself, had confidence in him, because he saw the major problem and potential solutions; but he seems now to act on impulse, without much foresight, and to count more on threats than cooperation. The fact the dollar was, and still is, the major reserve and trading currency in the world, means that the dollar's problems are a global problem, and could have formed the basis of at least an attempt to appeal to other countries, especially such as those of the G7, to help formulate a solution. Results might have been achieved with less bad feelings, less disruption of trade and investment both in the U.S. and elsewhere. And less austerity for working people. As regards Albania, the best-man at my parents' wedding was landed there by submarine in 1944 as part of the SOE support for Hoxha's partisans. He had the misfortune to be sent to a completely useless partisan brigade that refused to attack the German columns then retreating from Greece along the coast road. He had to exert himself in trying to discourage them from killing off non-communist resistance members. There is a photo of him in front of St Albans Abbey at my parents' wedding (clipped from a wedding-photo) in 'The Wildest Province: SOE in the Land of the Eagle' by Roderick Bailey. Parachuted into South Kentung State, Burma, in 1945 for intelligence gathering, he raised a guerilla force of about 300 men (likely Lahu I was told) which disrupted Jap and Thai L-of-C through the area. He (Maj.J.K.H.Shaw of 1/RUR) was killed when the Chinese Army attacked across the Imjin in April '51. You might be aware that according to legend, Brut, the first king of a long lineage that ruled Britain until well into Roman times, came from Latium, part of what would become Rome, which was said to have been founded by Aeneas and other refugees from Troy. My knowledge of this is very sketchy but I believe Dardania originally part of Trojan territory (and from which presumably derives 'The Dardanelles') was several centuries BCE located in what is now Albania (?). As late as Shakespeare's time Londoners still believed their city to have once been called New Troy. Although they seem less appreciative these days of the presence of an Albanian mafia. "The historical chronology of the first millenium BC is known in as much detail in regard to Britain as anywhere else on the planet; an anchor date is the Sack of Rome in 390 BC by Brennus of Britain …; earlier millenia are mistier; …" "Genealogies: two key genealogies are available to us for the first millenium BC, the Cambrian (Welsh) and the Lloegrian (English); both show the royal descent from Brutus, Britain’s founding king …; one genealogy relates to Brutus’s eldest son Locrinus, ruler in Lloegria in the east side of the island, in what was to become England; the second shows the descent from Brutus’s youngest son Camber, ruler in West Britain (Cambria), including what was to become Wales; …" "Brutus proceeded to conquer the whole island of Britain, according to the British Chronicles; he renamed the island Britain, after himself; the early names for Britain include Bruttene, Brutene, Brutaine, Brutten, Bruttaine, Brutlonde, Brutlond and Brutayne; as late as the AD mid-1100s Arab historians (e.g. Gregory bar Hebreaus) were still referring to Britain as Brutusland; Brutus is said to have founded a capital on the site of modern London around 1100 BC, which he called ‘New Troy’; note that Troe-Noey is mentioned in the Norse Edda writings [see Sources: Waddell]; the British Chronicles describe the later corruption of the name to Tri-novantum, clearly identifying the early British Londoners with the Trinovantes of Julius Caesar’s account of his invasions of 55 and 54 BC; these Thameside people were also mentioned by the Roman writers Ptolemy and Tacitus; the founding of London by Brutus was so firmly believed up until the time of King Edward I (1239-1307), that it was referred to as Troy Novantium (New Troy); this is confirmed in the early histories of Middlesex, of 1627, written by Pieter van der Keere; in that work the inhabitants are described as the Trinobants, with London as their capital; Britain’s Trojan origins have been celebrated by Chaucer, Shakespeare and Milton, among many others; the River Thames was probably named by Brutus and his companions after the River Thyamis in Epirus, Greece, which flows into the Ionian Sea, whence Brutus had just come, bringing his princess bride." [quotes from The National CV of Britain - Rulers BC.htm]
  5. I understand that what he says is novel and therefore shocks you. However unlike what you seem to believe, based upon your apparent lack of familiarity with 'contrarian' views, I have not suddenly become a convert to his way of thinking. My perspective on the world changed quite a bit as result of five years in the jungles of TPNG back in the 60s, followed over the years by other shocks to preconceived attitudes resultingg from changed circumstances. Such as latterly the 2008 crisis which re-affirmed my belief (dating back to the Sarvodaya Conference at the Polytechnic of Central London in '75) that the global economy was unsustainable. Followed by the Plandemic of 2020 which confined me to Thailand and confirmed that authoritarianism was getting out of hand.
  6. This talk is long, but in my opinion critically important to understanding where, unaware, we are being led. "Cognitive Warfare" to prepare us for HOT WAR : The Quiet Coup https://karat.substack.com/p/the-quiet-coup [video + PDF version] -------------------- Propaganda is commonly divided into two categories (and has been since the days when S.O.E. inserted propaganda agents into Nazi-occupied Europe): White Propaganda and Black Propaganda. The former, somewhat akin to 'committed journalism', seeking to engender action, aims to motivate a sympathetic (or potentially sympathetic) audience by recounting what is essentially truth, but from a biassed perspective. Black propaganda necessarily mixes many verifiable facts with false information to lead an enemy to act in a manner detrimental to himself. Nowadays, we are the enemies of our governments.
  7. EU Parliament Member EXPOSES Craziness Of EU Elites | M. Schulenburg & J. Sachs Neutrality Studies https://youtu.be/FSKSUHbDnsU "28 Oct 2025 "This is a Webinar of the Multipolar Peace Network Initiative. Count Michael von der Schulenburg, who worked decades in conflict resolution for the United Nations and is now a European Parliament member for Germany's left-wing party BSW, discusses with Professor Jeffrey Sachs the reasons and extent of EU elite madness and institutional failures. Not only war propaganda is on an all-time high, also the political process is so captured by Russo-phobic pro-war narratives that the ideologists within the bureaucratic structures of the Brussel's behemoth don't even understand the extent and consequences of their irresponsible war policies. Coupled with the inability for long-term planning and disregard of national interest, the fate of the European continent is set for another dark chapter. The worst is yet to come."
  8. Are we now of the verge of a War for the Liberation of Venezuela ? warning: much bad language !
  9. Master plan ? "The American Century". See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Century Roots may go back a long way as suggested by that article. However the phrase really seems to have come into vogue by those in power at the time of the figurehead president G.W.Bush and his coterie of Deep State actors, including such as Cheney. A likely turning-point in the perceptions of this group came earlier, subsequent to the collapse of the Soviet Union which permitted their ambition of global control to run riot. Their conception of "globalism" was, and is, a Uni-Polar World dominated by U.S. finance. The problem with this concept is that it was built upon clay foundations. Bretton Woods made the US dollar, backed by gold, the world's reserve and trading currency. The need for other countries to use dollars when trading between themselves meant it was necessary for the U.S. to have a trade deficit. The gold backing in theory restrained the U.S. from printing excessive amounts of paper dollars. However this restraint ended when L.B.Johnson boosted both military spending to crush the Viet Cong and social spending in an attempt to limit the popular backlash. Realising that the U.S. was printing into existence more currency than it could redeem in gold, countries such as France and Germany became reluctant to hold excessive amounts of dollars. The result: the U.S. was haemorrhaging its gold reserves. Richard Nixon in 1971 halted this by stepping in to unilaterally revoke the Bretton Woods Agreement. The dollar was no longer backed by gold. Lack of a materially-valuable backing to the dollar combined with reckless "money-printing" resulted in run-away inflation in the United States. The "Great Inflation" of the 1970s was eventually cured by the imposition of punitively high interest rates - reducing the over-inflated dollar supply - by the economist Paul Volker, chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1979 to 1987. The preservation of the dollar's reserve status through its need by other nations in international trade was reinforced by the informal petrodollar agreement with Saudi Arabia in 1974. However the strong dollar resulting from the currency's international dominance has enabled the U.S. to live beyond its means on borrowed money, importing massively because favourable exchange-rates make foreign-made goods cheap. By the same token the dollar's strength has killed off much U.S. manufacturing. Trump, although behaving like a bull in a china-shop, is one of the very few U.S. politicians who has both seen the danger and decided to fight against it. But his Make-America-Great-Again movement seems more dedicated to preserving American hegemony than in creating a world that is better for all. Western media generally gloss over the destruction, loss of life, misery and, impoverishment wrought by US/NATO "wars of liberation" in countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and I suppose one might include Palestine. And of course NATO sought, and eventually obtained, a war in the Ukraine as an excuse for adding to economic sanctions intended to collapse the Russian government and fragment the Russian Federation into manageable chunks. Plenty of evidence online for these statements for those interested in availing themselves of all points of view with a view to gaining some in-depth understanding. Enough said.

  12. "The Coalition of the Willing" : The coalition of leading European politicians and bureaucrats who sabotaged with sanctions the well-being of their peoples, including generations as yet unborn, by an ill-conceived attempt to induct the Ukraine into an alliance innately inimical to the Russian Federation. An attempt which has backfired in their faces. Done to curry favour with the U.S. mentor of these politicians and bureaucrats. The U,S. has now left them holding the can and distracting the Russians from getting too involved in the key theatre, the Middle East; while the U.S. pursues its ambitions there and elsewhere (such as in the Americas). These deluded narcissists cannot admit their failure and correct course, but must double-down with wishful thinking and 'virtue-signalling', because admission of failure would amount to professional suicide. However increasing public awareness of brutal realities and of the multiple shortcomings of the establishment, will hopefully before long ensure radical changes in government. Too late. But better late than never.
  13. NASA has reported falling temperatures in the upper atmosphere since 30 years ago: https://www.nasa.gov/general/nasa-satellites-see-upper-atmosphere-cooling-and-contracting-due-to-climate-change/ This cooling effect has been attributed by Yale University to "greenhouse gasses" in the lower atmosphere reflecting back to Earth the warmth generated at ground level by the Sun. Astrophysicists report diminishing radiation is reaching our Earth from the Sun, and this is expected to accentuate over the coming decades. Although some academics seem reluctant to admit that the Sun is our primary source of warmth. Rising ocean temperatures cause expulsion of dissolved CO2. So higher atmospheric CO2 can be, at least in part, an effect rather than a cause of global warming; assuming it is currently occurring. Huge releases of methane from Actic Ocean waters have recently occurred, far in excess of global cow-farts; attributed to rising sea-water temperatures. Atmospheric methane traps heat radiation to a much greater extent than CO2. So the equation of what causes what is complicated. Climate changes of all kinds are, and have always been, a feature of our Earth, in some cases causing near extinction of human kind, a relatively adaptable mammalian species. Plants grow more vigorously with rising temperatures, on condition that CO2 levels also rise (according to greenhouse-growers). Dependent upon species, plants are said to benefit from levels of up to 700 to as much as 1,800 parts per million. Current CO2 levels are about 400 ppm. Human society can more easily survive in a warm climate with a decent growing season, rather than a cold one with limited poential for growing crops. So if global temperatures are (in many regions) rising, some increase in CO2 may be beneficial. If, on the other hand, the climate is cooling, a slightly thicker blanket of CO2, a natural part of our environment for millions of years, and without which life on Earth in its present forms could not continue, might prove a boon. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant; unlike the tens of thousands of new synthetic chemicals pushed into our environment each year without any testing as to toxicity. Trace amounts of CO2 in the blood assist oxygen uptake by haemoglobin. Certainly better than the toxic fly-ash spread across the skies of some parts of the world. A feature I saw regularly in the evenings when living in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Three aircraft in line at high altitude, criss-crossing the sky, trailing white powder resembling water-vapour. Except the trails did not dissipate, but spread out, glowing red in the setting sun, joining together and covering the previously cloudless sky with a veil. I guess it makes a difference in one's ability to believe the "chemtrails conspiracy" when one has seen this sort of thing first hand. Repeatedly. Even photographed it, although am not sure if I still have the photos archived away somewhere. Have never seen the phenomenon in Thailand.

  20. Why does the Russian Government wish to observe the U.K. from a close distance, with surface vessels and submarines? Some possibilities: 1. Early warning of a suspected nuclear attack. 2. Early defence against a suspected nuclear attack. 3. Offensive response to a suspected nuclear attack. 4. A warning to dampen down rising provocations. 5. A combination of the above. N.B. On a purely personal level, someone who believes he is about to be battered by an aggressor may act pre-emptively rather than await incapacitating confirmation. And since the scope of discussion here has been somewhat broadened, it can be suggested that eight years (2014-2022) of murder of 14,000 Russian-speaking civilians in the east by racists from the western oblasts puts the latter in the position, at the very least, of illegal immigrants into the Eastern Ukraine. They have deprived themselves of all right to be there.
  21. While no one can foretell how Russian opinion may develop, present indications are that currently the main dissent to Putin comes from hard-liners dissatisfied with his reluctance to react strongly to repeated provocations. If the hard-liners were to take power in Russia a nuclear holocaust might result and cause mega-deaths well beyond the Ukraine's borders. Is this really what leading western politicians want? Or are they merely playing highly dangerous games with the lives of their citizens, and of generations as yet unborn?
  22. True for most people. And it might not have mattered in the past for those living in liberal democracies. Which was not everyone of course. But looking around one, it seems that things are changing, as governments everywhere exhibit an urgent desire to gain total control of their populations. To what end exactly? I do not pretend to know. But am mistrustful.
  23. I have Linux Mint (Cinnamon) running on a Lenovo Ideapad 320 purchased about 8 years ago in Pantip Plaza, with - as was once common in these parts - an unofficial version of Windows. (Laptop pulled out of storage after then-current one developed faults. Have since purchased a new Lenovo Ideapad, running Windows 11. With hopes of eventually moving it over to Linux) Linux Mint is based on Debian and is said to be easiest for those moving over from Windows who are not computer-wizards. Had a slight struggle making the memory stick bootable; and then going into the BIOS to allow it to boot. Initially ran Linux from USB memory stick without installing, to check all was well. Then installed Linux, wiping Windows rather than making a dual-boot system. Some programs I have long used under Windows are also available under Linux. E.g. Libre Office, The Gimp, ESET Internet Security, Express VPN. A couple of my decades-long favourites intended only for Windows needed installing with Wine: Pegasus Mail and Notetab Pro. Linux is said to work well with most computers, but if planning on buying one of the latest models, it is recommended to check out that all the necessary drivers are available, in case ones for Linux have not yet beeen developed. Rob Braxman's site seems to offer a good introduction to online security and to Linux: https://www.youtube.com/@robbraxmantech
  24. Prince Andrew, second-born son of Queen Elizabeth, may well have developed serious failings, notably after the break-down of his marriage some thirty years ago. But to portray him as merely a parasite ignores his public service during his naval career. For those unfamiliar, here is an extract from his bio, as per Wikipedia: ----------------------------------------------- The Royal Household announced in November 1978 that Andrew would join the Royal Navy the following year. In December he underwent various sporting tests and examinations at the Aircrew Selection Centre, at RAF Biggin Hill, along with further tests and interviews at HMS Daedalus, and interviews at the Admiralty Interview Board, HMS Sultan. During March and April 1979 he was enrolled at the Royal Naval College Flight, undergoing pilot training, until he was accepted as a trainee helicopter pilot and signed on for 12 years from 11 May 1979. On 1 September of the same year, Andrew was appointed as a midshipman, and entered Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. During 1979 he also completed the Royal Marines All Arms Commando Course for which he received his Green Beret. He was commissioned as a sub-lieutenant on 1 September 1981 and appointed to the Trained Strength on 22 October. After passing out from Dartmouth, Andrew went on to elementary flying training with the Royal Air Force at RAF Leeming, and later, basic flying training with the navy at HMS Seahawk, where he learned to fly the Gazelle helicopter. After being awarded his wings, he moved on to more advanced training on the Sea King helicopter, and conducted operational flying training until 1982. He joined 820 Naval Air Squadron, serving aboard HMS Invincible, an aircraft carrier. Falklands War On 2 April 1982 Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory claimed by it, leading to the Falklands War. Invincible was one of the two operational aircraft carriers available at the time, and, as such played a major role in the Royal Navy task force assembled to sail south to retake the islands. Andrew's place on board and the possibility of the Queen's son being killed in action made the British government apprehensive, and the cabinet desired that he be moved to a desk job for the duration of the conflict. The Queen, though, insisted that her son should be allowed to remain with his ship. Andrew remained on board Invincible to serve as a Sea King helicopter co-pilot, flying on missions that included anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, Exocet missile decoy, casualty evacuation, transport, and search and air rescue. He witnessed the Argentine attack on SS Atlantic Conveyor. At the end of the war, Invincible returned to Portsmouth, where Elizabeth and Philip joined other families of the crew in welcoming the vessel home. The Argentine military government reportedly planned, but did not attempt, to assassinate Andrew on Mustique in July 1982. Although he had brief assignments to HMS Illustrious, RNAS Culdrose, and the School of Service Intelligence, Andrew remained with Invincible until 1983. Commander Nigel Ward's memoir, Sea Harrier Over the Falklands, described Andrew as "an excellent pilot and a very promising officer." Career officer The Duke of York with the US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta commemorating the 100th anniversary of Naval Aviation at the National Building Museum in 2011 In late 1983 Andrew transferred to RNAS Portland, and was trained to fly the Lynx helicopter. On 1 February 1984 he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant, whereupon Elizabeth appointed him her personal aide-de-camp. Andrew served aboard HMS Brazen as a flight pilot until 1986, including deployment to the Mediterranean Sea as part of Standing NRF Maritime Group 2. He undertook the Lieutenants' Greenwich Staff course. On 23 October 1986 he transferred to the General List, enrolled in a four-month helicopter warfare instructor's course at RNAS Yeovilton, and, upon graduation, served from February 1987 to April 1988 as a helicopter warfare officer in 702 Naval Air Squadron, RNAS Portland. He also served on HMS Edinburgh as an officer of the watch and Assistant Navigating Officer until 1989, including a six-month deployment to the Far East as part of exercise Outback 88. Andrew served as flight commander and pilot of the Lynx HAS3 on HMS Campbeltown from 1989 to 1991. He also acted as force aviation officer to Standing NRF Maritime Group 1 while Campbeltown was flagship of the NATO force in the North Atlantic from 1990 to 1991. He passed the squadron command examination on 16 July 1991, attended the Staff College, Camberley the following year, and completed the Army Staff course. He was promoted to lieutenant-commander on 1 February and passed the ship command examination on 12 March 1992. From 1993 to 1994 Andrew commanded the Hunt-class minehunter HMS Cottesmore. From 1995 to 1996 Andrew was posted as senior pilot of 815 Naval Air Squadron, then the largest flying unit in the Fleet Air Arm. His main responsibility was to supervise flying standards and to guarantee an effective operational capability. He was promoted to commander on 27 April 1999, finishing his active naval career at the Ministry of Defence in 2001, as an officer of the Diplomatic Directorate of the Naval Staff. In July of that year Andrew was retired from the Active List of the Navy. Three years later, he was made an honorary captain. On 19 February 2010, his 50th birthday, he was promoted to rear admiral. Five years later, he was promoted to vice admiral. He ceased using his honorary military titles in January 2022. The action came after more than 150 Royal Navy, RAF and Army veterans signed a letter, requesting Elizabeth to remove his honorary military appointments in light of his involvement in a sexual assault civil case. It was reported that he would retain his service rank of vice admiral.
