I am very unsecure when my friend ask me for advice concerning what happens if his wife dies before he does. Background is; They are a married couple (he is swedish she is thai) There is a daughter outside this marriage (adult) this daughter have a son 7 years old living by the falang/thai lady. The daughter is not. Falang and thai wife have a testament saying that inheritence will not be actual until they both are dead... So if by all means this not happen, but if wife (thai) dies before he does, what happens? and can a 7 year old boy owns a house/property. And if possible can hos mother who is not even the guardian take possion of this house while falang still lives in it?? My falang-friend just want to be secured if something happens to his wife, so he cant be kicked out by the remaining thai family. Please, if you guys can assist in this that would be great. And there is also 12 points for people valid to be able to apply for this. He is just a guy who lives here 6 months a year with a thai ID and a yellow Tabien baan. Yes it was extremely stupid of my friend not to check the paperwork more careful. But done is done and I will take him back as soon as his norwegian embassy have sent over the noew imcomeletter with the correct information on it. B.t.w. his extension expire 17 april 2025... Again thanks for your support. now at least I know that I hjaven´t missed out on anything about this E-visa stuff. All good.

YES, he have today a valid extension that we were there to extend. He have everything in order. I am with you there... I can not understand why even bring it up, they even gave us a A4 paper about it....

Hi Guys, Was to immigration (Chaiyaphum) today with a friend (Norwegian) this in order to extend his extension from last year for another year. I think I am fairy knowledable when it comes to general knowledge of the system but here is one thing that REALLY made me troubled. We gave the officer all documents for this norwegian guy. and quickly he started to talk about E-Visa and online. This offcicer who was completely useless in english he ovetalked me and of course turned to my friends thai-lady. She is worthless also in english so I could not get any answer att all from them. I do not understand this thing with E-visa OK I know that you apply for VISA in our home-countries online (E-visa, but that is all. I doubt very much that an extension of stay can be done on line. Can anyone of you guys help me out here with your thoughts. what was he talking about??? Is it really so that extension can be done online via E-Visa. I would be very happy for any responses. Hi my wife and I are planning to go up now to Chiang Mai for tourist-purposes. I have back of my head a memory that I have been reading here for a couple of years ago, that it is not so healthy to go to Chiang Mai in march because the thais are burn ing and do fires like crazy and the air is so polluted so it is being dangerous... Hi guys, I live in Chaiyaphum and I am trying to settle with the rules applied just here in Chaiyaphum, as you know they are not always the same on all immigration-officies. I must ask you guys if you happens to now where to find in writing the law/police-order covering my own situation. I am swedish so I must do a so called "Combo" which means that I will have a "income-letter" from my embassy. But this is not covering the full 800.000 baht that is a must for applying to a Retirement-extension. In my case income-letter will cover up to 650.000 baht. So I need to show money in the bank for 150.000 baht. So with this said, before there were no demand for seasoning this combo-money in the bank, you could just put them into the bank the day before application. But now Chaiyaphum they are talking a lot of crap that I am not believing at all. They mentioned today both demand of season these 150.000 baht for a year, and another guy said 3 months.. Do anybody know if this have changed in anyway, and also if I could get my hands on the police-order talking about this "combo-situation". So I get it right once and for all.. As being a foreigner I need to ask you british guys what the law in England is about you VAT regulation for transport to foreign country of goods. In my case I am moving my personal belongings in a container via a british transport-company, I am moving it from a city mid England to Felixstowe, and the company says and want to debit 20% in VAT for these costs up to loaded on board.... As being a swede I have another scenario in Europe. If I make a transport from somewhere in Sweden to Thailand that transport is completely free from VAT, So do anybody knows about how it works in England. Thank you so much for your help by answering.
