    Yes they do! When you are born or live long time in a country that has an average temperature of 30, then the body acclimatize. If temperature suddenly goes down to 13, the body get a similar reaction as shock.

    I would say 5 % is a little bit low. Maybe 10 - 15 % but still low. However, I was never talking about the difference in any percentage. You know what foreigners I mean in my post. Therefore, no need to complicate with irrelevant info to avoid the subject.

    Yeah terrible for you! You are probably one of the good guys. Most of the foreigners I have seen at the Laos consulates and embassy were there all alone. Talking girls all the time. Drinking their socks of, and was behaving just like the normal bar stool foreigner in Thailand.

    Yes, quite informed. Did it that way myself for two years, just to travel with family that wanted to see what Laos had to offer. One year to Vientiane and 1 to Savannakhet. Talked with a lot of foreigners there that admitted what I am posting here.

    The sense, is that most of the foreigner that choose that way, does not meet the requirements for showing money.

    That´s only because people in Chiang Mai does not understand, that the work can´t be done during the rainy season.

    So the reports are starting again! That´s great for all without options. However, usually the reason is not connected to any hassle. Mostly the visa runners does just not have what it takes economically to sort it out with regular extensions without leaving the country.
