I assume you are from USA ? as "fanny" has an entirely different meaning to a Brit (European?).

In British English, as you say, "fanny" has two meanings.

I am SURE that YOU know I just meant the part which was covered by the quarterly, "Foreign Affairs", in Kubrick's amazing film.

    Take care, my friend.

    Tks!

  2. I do not worry so much about myself.

Instead, the thing that causes me most worry is worrying about others.

We are not even half-through this tribulation.  And so, I worry that the worst might be yet to come.

As resources, financial resources, become depleted over time, then families will be less resilient.

I don't really give a crp about myself, so much, but I more feel sorry for others.

We still have a long row to hoe before the world is back to normal.

  3. My Fellows,

These days, movies are just becoming ever-more boring, the more we watch the never-ending pablum, just due to the never-ending virus.

Still, as you might know, Ms. Foreign Affairs can never be boring.  Kubrick was never boring, either.

I am SO Very Bored with all the movies I have already seen.

In fact, I have taken to watching very old flicks showing train wrecks.

Who does not love a copy of “Foreign Affairs” placed strategically across the fanny of a bombshell with a cigarette between her fingers, just beckoning you?

Wow, Man, I as so very bored with the movies available these days.

I just wish that Ms. Foreign Affairs, such a darling waif, would come to live and lie on my carpet.

I am REALLY BORED, with the movies, these days, after 18 months of watching garbage.

No doubt, you would prefer Ms. Foreign Affairs to visit you, tonight, rather than to spend another boring night.

    Best regards,

    Love to you!,

    Gamma

Note: Kubrick is amazing, and so is Ms. Foreign Affairs.

Note2:  Many years ago, I actually used to read this quarterly, "Foreign Affairs". Not dry, at all.

So you are the only one on here who understands how the world works. Well done, we are lucky to have you with us.

I suppose you imagine that everyone else resembles a character in a Larson cartoon.

Years ago, Larson was more interesting.

These days, Larson is watered down.

    You are welcome ????

If you mean that you are a farmer, then thank you.

Too many of us mistakenly believe that the food we depend on drops like manna from heaven.

Some might even assume that our rice comes from Suckerberger at Facebook.

Difficult to expand Facebook's reach if the world were to suddenly go hungry.

Sucking Suckerberger, we love his megalomania. But, can he sow rice?

Have you never heard of CP and how their fortune started ?

"The family behind Charoen Pokphand Group, one of the world's largest producers of animal feed and livestock, got a nearly $9 billion boost to its wealth in 2017 partly due to a surge in the value of its holding in Chinese insurer Ping An, whose shares jumped on rising income and bond yields. The business dates back to 1921, when brothers Chia ek Chor and Choncharoen Chiaravanont opened a shop selling seeds imported from China to Thai farmers. Today the group is led by Chia Ek Chor's son Dhanin, who is senior chairman and shares the fortune with his 3 brothers and other relatives. After 48 years as chairman and CEO, in January 2017, Dhanin Chearavanont crowned his eldest son, Soopakij, 53, and the youngest, Suphachai, 50, as CP's chairman and CEO, respectively."

Without industrial farming, and without plenty of petroleum, not to mention phosphate fertilizer, there might be no way for us to soon enjoy 10 billion of us here.

After 50 years of watching our hockey stick transfold, maybe we will soon be pucked...

    GOAL!

  9. ECHOES of LOVE

The love I wish I had today cannot compare to the echoes of love I once had yesterday, and the years before that.

Still, there is just one beautiful lady, now, that I know, one I do love, one whom I would not wish on me.

Yet, I truly do LOVE her, for sure.

    And, from afar.

Love, during the worst of times, can be the best love one can possibly experience.

During the worst of times, the intensity of the feeling of love can be much enhanced.

Tell us the story about when you said "mai dong graeng jai" to a Thai person.

This is not the typical usage:

    Most people just say: GrengJai

This is sort of like saying....  BaoQian, or DuiBuqi, .... meaning, "sorry"

Of course, love means never needing to say sorry.

    ============

GrengJai is a very easily understood concept.

I am not sure why there is no good translation in most dictionaries.

  11. These days, I feel so very heart-stricken and lovesick concerning my inability to be with the woman whom I most love.

    They say, life goes on.

But, still, Life is not as fun as it once was, without her.

So far, it has been 18 months, and still, we must wait, and wait.

When will I see you again?

Remaining optimistic, even while not knowing when things will return to normal, still one cannot help but wonder how much longer it will be?

And so, My Love, this song is for you, the woman I love, and someone to keep my house clean.

Sometimes, I just wonder how much longer we will need to wait before the World returns to normal, which it surely will.

This is the life we were born into, My Love.  Sometimes, we must just endure the inevitable.

Take the good with the bad.  And, just remain thankful that one is still alive enough to experience both.

No one is as in-love as we, My Love?

Love is Pain.  The pain beyond belief.

    Until then, My Love.

  12. Many people here may not know this about me:

In fact, I have been passionately IN LOVE with a woman, in Thailand, but only from afar.

I do not mean to say that she is very "far", from me, in terms of miles or kilometers, like the Moon from the stars.

She is just around the corner from me, in Earthly terms.

Her close proximity to me makes my life all the more intolerable.

Of course, I ask for no sweet advice on this forum.

I only ask for some sympathy.

Truly, I am smitten with her. Just a whiff of her imagined perfume makes my heart palpitate.

Do you even think that I am joking?

I will never declare my love to her, simply because my great longing for her sweetens my life, and provides me something to look forward to.

I sometimes dream about her, and often tell myself stories about her.

She is so beautiful to me; I cannot think of any other.

If we should wed, I would only tell her stories which would promote her happiness.

All cultures are not the same.

    I love this culture.

This culture is pretty special, and glorious.
