  1. Keith loved The Stranglers. There is a story behind his love of the Stranglers. A story which I read many years ago. Personally, I love the Golden Brown tune from the Stranglers. I have ALWAYS loved Golden Brown. There has never been even one day when I did not love Golden Brown. If you want to find Golden Brown, then you know you must come here to Thailand. Brown Eyes, and Golden Brown. You can not find this combination anywhere else but here. Never a frown here. All smiles.
  2. I do not know why, although, anytime I think of ThaiVisa, I also am reminded of my man, KEITH FLOYD. Why? Maybe because, this great guy goes hand in hand with TV's Farang Pub. Such an amazingly likable personage. In my opinion, the Farang Pub can be summed up in the personality of Keith Floyd. Surely, no one can help but love what we read here on this forum. How could it be otherwise?
  3. Well, all that I can state here is that I will continue to post on TV, at least, for another 30 years. In doing so, I should be able to post my last topic at the ripe old age of 101. By the way, Herman Wouk delivered his last novel at the age of 101, I think. This guy knew how to write a paragraph, for sure. Most of us are just slouch writers, compared to him. Still, I DO look forward to the next 30 years, on TV, if God grants me this wish. Take care my friends! Stay strong. Keep writing on TV, for that matter.
  4. Often, just a passing thought, in time, can become profound, if one lives long enough to appreciate it.
  5. Dear Friends, As is well known, there are some very old people posting here. Should we not give some respect to the oldest man or woman who is still able to work a keyboard, in order to post on this Farang Pub? I am not half as old as the oldest, and I have no doubt about this. And so, I am just curious, about how old the oldest man here might be. Obviously, the oldest might be between 85 and 100 years old. Will anyone, anyone who believe he or she is the oldest, out themselves? There should be a prize for the oldest man here, still standing. No doubt, we all wish to know. (Interesting question, obviously.)
  6. Bailing out. But, not bailing out the bilge. Interesting account from an old guy...
  7. Do you mean fit and stupid? Or, would you have your cake and eat it, too?
  8. Dear Friends, Wisdom is not something that can be easily achieved. The cost is paid in years of experience and through introspection, perhaps reading many books, during these years. And so, would you not happily trade your wisdom for callow youth, if only you could? There is much to be stated for being young and stupid. I am sure we all feel likewise. I would prefer to not know much, and be young. Glob
  9. Speaking of a beautiful chest, totally devoid of hair, but still a man with plenty of curls on top.... The man who comes to mind, above all others, is Plant. Whom amongst us does not recall so many hours drooling over Plant's bare breast? I will not post any drooling video here. Not only was Plant a sex toy, yet he was a singer of wonder, as well. Plant was sort of X or R rated, not due to his disrobing, but due to his beauty, beauty which made grown men squirm, and shake.
  10. Unseen Alfred Hitchcock Holocaust documentary to be released : 'Disturbing' film, made in 1945 and withheld, was restored by the Imperial War Museum and will screen later this year and in 2015...... Watch it and learn something. Watch it and weep.
  11. Oh....wait. If you want to read about the American uni system...... Then...Why... Why don't you read Giles Goat Boy, written by Barth?
  12. Sorry, however these are not dark times, by any means. The Sun is out. The weather is sweet. Better than 100 years ago, in 1922, for example... Better than 1962, waiting for the end of the world, during the Cuban Crisis...
  13. We do not see any data on this thread, here...do we? Let's, rather, mourn for the Chimney Sweeps. Let's read more Dickens. The OP seems to me to be more of the Artful Dodger using a hot button to reap a reaction.
  14. Robin Williams, his hairy old soul, God Bless this man, lived a good life, providing pleasure to the masses. Robin Williams was extremely hairy, according to him. What a wonderful person, loved by many And, yet, he never shaved his back or his chest. It's not a matter of vanity, for anyone, one might guess.....to shave. However.... Maybe it might be a matter of comfort when it gets hot. And, when it gets hot, Some Like it Hot....and, we know that Tony Curtis must have shaved many times in the making of this film. I have never had a massage. A shave, back and front, might be good, though.
  15. My Dear Friends, If you, as I, and also Robin Williams, while he was alive, exhibit hair on our chests, during the Hot Season in Thailand, would you ever consider shaving your chest in order to feel far more comfortable? In fact, now that temperatures here have just begun to rise, I have shaved the upper half of my chest, and I am feeling 50-percent better, already. You might think that I am joking. However, this is a serious post about helping men on this forum to both feel better, and, for those who are newbies to Thailand, just helping them more easily acclimate to the impending heat which we know is ahead, maybe within the next three weeks, and which will last until the end of May. I have never shaved my chest. And, I don't know men who have. There is really no downside to shaving my chest, other than my worry that it might begin to itch. If anyone knows anything about chest shaving, in order to feel more comfortable, then please let me know if one will begin to feel itchy as one's chest hair grows back. Will we need to keep on shaving, day after day, just as we shave our beards, in order to avoid this itchiness? Also, what about wearing a shirt, after one has shaved part of one's chest. Will wearing a shirt be a problem? One more thing: If all goes well, then I will consider having both my front and my back shaved, regularly. I am sure that having my front and back shaved, thrice per month, will not cost much money. And, now that I have already started doing this, having a woman do this for me, in a more formal setting, might be something that I can look forward to, every few days. Sometimes, the older one becomes, the more one feels the need to try new things. Truly. Regards.
  16. I would never take your word for it. However, there is some truth to your words, as you also know.
  17. My Dear Friends, As is the case with some of you, I, too, am beginning to feel my age, and now.... my left thumb is affected, not to mention my nether thumb, which is less affected, praise be, so far. What do you do in order to deal with arthritis pain of your limbs? aa. Do you just grin and bear it? bb. Do you take NSAIDs, which we all know are not good, or even effective, over the long haul? cc. Do you take warm soapy baths with young women, hoping their youth will rub off on you, if you just rub them hard enough? Personally, what I do in order to ameliorate my arthritis symptoms in my left thumb is to distract myself though writing my daily thoughts on good forums. What could be more effective than this? Time goes in only one direction, even though Time does not pass at the same speed for any one of us. There is no doubt that our arthritically-based pain can only continue to worsen as our systemic inflammation continues to increase. And, for those in the West, political inflammation can only worsen our personal stress and feelings of wondering when we will be living in a true Clockwork Orange situation. Yet, this is a small price to pay for just being alive. My arthritis is just beginning. The older I become, the more exquisite the pain may become, I can only guess. Life on planet Earth has never been simple or easy, or even pain free. Even if one were to lead a perfect life, never even committing one single sin, then one can still expect to receive the blessing of arthritis, if one can only live long enough. Still, we must carry on. Best regards,
  18. There seems to be an entire row of Asian restaurants in this strip mall. Many are now taking flak. This needs to be investigated with extreme due diligence by the local constabulary. And then, the culprits must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Such disgustingness as this needs to be stamped out.
  19. YES. These are the two most likely causes for this terrible fiasco. And, all we can hope is that: Whatever happens in Las Vegas will remain in Las Vegas.
  20. Apparently, just reading the news, it seems that the virus may have augmented anti-Asian sentiment in America, though I have no personal knowledge of this. Prejudice and bias based on race, ethnicity, or if one might talk with a lithp, for example, is pretty disgusting. Hope that Siam owners can recover, soon. Hope that Siam owners have insurance coverage to protect their losses due to this very unfair fiasco. This things seems just so very unfair. Makes one feel rather angry.
