I believe the two prior extensions charge a flat 15 baht fare regardless of the number of stops, so this new rate of up to 44 baht just for the extensions alone seems excessive.

There is a great shoe store at Union mall called Shoe Shi, they sell leather shoes imported from Italy at reasonable prices. They have a limited selection for larger sizes but they can custom order many styles for no extra cost if you can wait a few weeks. I bought some EU size 47s from there a few months ago which they ordered especially for me and delivered to my door, all for less than 2000 baht.

LPG conversion starts from some 20k, gas price is 1/3 of petrol.
Within a few months return on investment.
Alternatively NGV conversion, but 2x more expensive and not that many stations.
NGV is the cheapest at around 15.6 baht/kg.
But you're right there aren't many stations around, luckily I live right next to one.
At first I thought LPG was cheaper but it's sold by the litre and the density is much lower so one litre is only around half a kilogramme.

He has an interesting definition for the word "maximum".

Did you son have an entry stamp in his passport?
No he did not.

They can definitely leave Thailand on a foreign passport, you just need to show the Thai birth certificate at Thai immigration.
Like I said before, I left with my son in 2019 and he has never even had a Thai passport.
All children are exempt from overstay fines. Thai citizens can also not be deported or fined when they reach adulthood as that would be against the constitution.

My son is half Thai (born in Thailand) and I traveled alone with him to the UK a few years ago on his British passport.
Immigration pulled me aside when leaving but allowed us to leave after calling his mother to check I had permission...they said I should have got an official document from the district office though.
Since then he has always entered Thailand on his British passport so he's treated as a foreigner and no questions asked when leaving.

So would they rather Burmese migrants slaving away for peanuts instead of the poor monkeys?

Well the largest oil refinery in Thailand (Thai Oil) is owned by PTT group (which also happens to be majority owned by the government) so they could always tell them to reduce their profit margins...

No worse than the OPEC+ cartel the whole world is dependent on.
But rice spoils so they can't hoard it to increase prices.

Will he also arrange to pay the 30 billion (yes, billion) Baht that is owed to BTS for operating the Green Line extensions??
Probably...IF the contracts were fair and no corruption was involved.
I think you work for the BTS so you couldn't possibly be biased?

So is he in jail now or is he still out on bail pending his chance to appeal the verdict?

Probably the best possible outcome for everyone concerned.

Who didn't see this one coming? The story was full of holes to begin with.

Will this more expensive fuel stop Thai drivers from emptying their tank to get one car ahead of you at the next red light?
Probably not as they are probably too dumb to realise that it wastes fuel.

Can anyone explain how selling gold jewellery works here? Do you get a better rate if you sell it back to the same company it was bought from?
I received a 1 baht gold necklace with the condo I bought a few years ago and haven't got around to selling it yet...it still has the tags on.

The pictures I posted in another thread with leaky pipes and ruined wall are from this developer. One year old condo.
Which thread? I'd like to see. I used to rent a condo from this developer and the windows were terrible.

Looks like the pink and yellow lines have been delayed possibly until the end of 2023.
(Reported in the unmentionable newspaper today)
So we can enjoy at least another year of them constantly digging up the roads and causing chaos.

Their clients holding COVID policies (premiums of which were low) are the least of the problem.
It is those with life insurance policies - in some cases, paid into for decades - that are the big problem.
I have a life insurance policy with a different company (Thai Life) that I have paid a lot of money into for 4 years already...expecting to get the money back with interest after 15 years.
Should I be worried? AFAIK they didn't offer covid insurance.

That's still quite an achievement losing over a billion baht a month.
And I'm not sure if the author understands percentages correctly...if something decreased by 100% wouldn't it be zero already?
