  1. It's how cult leaders operate......Trump's followers openly admit they would forgive, and have already forgiven, his many transgressions. Someone posted yesterday......"yes, but that is just Trump being Trump".....now that is really scary.
  2. If they genuinely want to make significant strides in the world they need to consider teaching another language or languages from primary school age......it is at that age most kids stand a chance of learning another language.....secondary school is too late for many. I would suggest English, but watching how things are developing here, Mandarin Chinese might be a better option.
  3. Oooooo...green is not a colour that suits.
  4. You're sounding very snowflake like.......'incel' touch a delicate nerve?
  5. All those countries tricked and forced into joining NATO....totally despicable.....especially when you consider they had a much better option to the East.
  6. Is this even legal? Elon Musk promises to award $1m every day to voters as he steps up campaigning for Trump https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/oct/20/elon-musk-promises-to-award-1m-every-day-to-voters-as-he-steps-up-campaigning-for-trump?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  7. I was in Gutersloh (sorry...only a civilian) for 25 years. The service and attitude of the US citizens I always found amazing. We had four kids and we'd been bowling at Patrick henry and the kids asked for ice cream. The guy apologised and said they didn't serve ice cream......but he would try to knock something up that was like ice cream...and he did. Well impressed.
  8. Escalator language all the time.....just no need for it.
  9. Regularly used the US facilities in Heidelberg (Patrick Henry village) and the hotel and lodges in Garmisch. The US certainly look after their armed forces (in Germany).
  10. You're not alone. There are japanese soldiers on tropical islands still fighting WW2 that are worried about Trump becoming President.
  11. In December 2021, President Biden and senior officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken and CIA Director William Burns, repeatedly warned that Russia was planning a major military action. Intelligence assessments suggested that Russia aimed to capture key cities and possibly overthrow the Ukrainian government. U.S. officials also engaged in diplomatic efforts to deter Russia through sanctions threats, military aid to Ukraine, and negotiations, but Russia ultimately proceeded with its invasion on February 24, 2022
  12. Do Americans outside of the 'battleground' States not feel aggrieved that their votes basically count for diddly squat?
  13. Lived in Germany for an age and Yellowtail was always my go to wine......happy now to see it is reasonably affordable here.
  14. Other than claiming Trump would be 'strong' what would, in reality, have persuaded Putin not to attack Ukraine had Trump been in power......His friendship with Putin? A real threat of a US nuclear strike? A rock solid message of support for Ukraine/NATO from Trump? Respect for Trump?
  15. I'm amazed at the 'Don't knows'.....only 0.5%..........(not arguing with AtlasIntel being the most accurate re: polling in the last election by the by).
  16. Pretty sure many outsiders on here, benefitting from a dispassionate eye, have a better handle on proceedings than most/some Americans who have been conned and hoodwinked into a slavering devotion to a con man. I feel sorry for 50% of the US voters.
  17. Yes....and I went one better....can you not read?
  18. Sounding like an incel (not saying your are)......do you have trouble getting it up maybe?.....is that from where your frustrations arise?
  19. Praise the Lord and let's hope there are enough stupid Americans (I suspect there are) to vote for Harris.
  20. From a poll of poll of polls..... As of mid-October 2024, polling in the key battleground states is highly competitive, with neither Donald Trump nor Kamala Harris holding a definitive lead across all of them. Trump has gained slight leads in a few states, such as Michigan and Georgia, while Harris maintains narrow advantages in states like Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. These leads, however, are within the margin of error, meaning the race is effectively a toss-up in most battlegrounds. For example, in Michigan, Trump leads by 3 points, while Harris leads by similar margins in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Both candidates are neck and neck in other states like North Carolina, making the overall picture very close. This reflects a broader national pattern where both candidates remain highly competitive across the crucial states that will determine the 2024 election outcome . So not ahead in all battleground states.
  21. Messaged them....fingers crossed.
  22. Brill.....thanks for that. Will have as shufty.
  23. Oh wow....never even contemplated it as an option.....is there anyone in particular you would recommend? Cheers
