Many of the trees on the landed to be flooded have been felled (no idea why).......the locals are setting fire to that land to make it easier to find branches hidden by the tall grass.....the branches they will then take home and burn for cooking and heating.....!!!

I drive the wife no more than a km every morning and every evening to and from her sugarcane fields along country roads............. typically I would have three, low level, near misses most days. Un*******believable.
