That is exactly what crossed my mind.......it was 30 mins out from Nana....no idea where it was or how I would even get home.....and absolutely zip memory after the tarpaulin was pulled back.....very worrying!!!

The hills surrounding us....clear as anything last week....have now disappeared.

Bars closed early...invited to jump in a car with four young Thai men and women.....drove to a deserted multistory...about five floors up.......walked to the far end, opened up some tarpaulins......bar, pool table, music, fussball, place was packed......and that was last I can recall of the night......not idea how I got home.

Sad to say....... I am regarded as the rich friend.....that being the case, my friends must be living close to the breadline.

In Isaan.....blue sky, intense heat everyday.....slightly cooler on a morning, 26C at 6am.....but still grinds you down.

Two words........

Retired at 62.......67 now. Spent the first few years house/villa sitting in Thailand/UK.....then the b****y wife had a house built, without telling me, so stuck in Isaan for the foreseeable.....spend two/three hours a day as it happens playing the guitar, taught myself to use photoshop......just come back from the UK to find another house being built in the back garden.....think she is starting a small resort, bar, restaurant.....so that might keep me busy.

New underwear just keeps appearing every so often in my righthand drawer......freaky!
