  1. I’m just fine, I don’t need any validation from anyone, especially here in this ghetto forum. Though I can understand the position of the insecure individuals????
  2. I’ve been here quite a long time and have a lot of Thai friends, a lot. Not a single one projects an inkling of smirk or monetary expectation on me. Though I can understand why someone would have such experiences due to their own expectations and projected approach to Thais and the venues they frequent. A late great man once said to me, “Blend in and become part of the crowd, adapt” “If you think you have to come DOWN to their level, you’ll never get along” A lot of farangs here that are not comfortable in their own skin
  3. I don’t know about the UK, but for the US it’s Open Borders!!
  4. “Don’t assume anything”
  5. “It’s your life, live as you please”
  6. “We’ll all be dead in a 150 years, so stop worrying about it”
  7. “Get over it. Move on”
  8. “It’s none of my business how others think of me” because whether positive, negative, null or otherwise it’s their mind, not mine.
  9. “Howdy” ”Lighten up” ”Good f’n grief!” “Take it easy” “Later”
  10. Thanks for the consideration of forum clutter reduction after you’ve departed
  11. I have no evidence or any idea that I was responding an inbred hillbilly with mental challenges, and I would certainly agree that I was responding a destructive farce with designs of distraction
  12. Enjoy your touristy tour ????
  13. Yeah I see, apologies for the misunderstanding…I have no reason why I don’t plan on going there besides I just don’t plan on ever going. I’m totally content with my situation in the north region plenty of different hidden unknown places to venture to. My wife doesn’t know anyone in Isaan, so no reason to go and I don’t plan on it.
  14. No, I never been to Isaan, I said I never been there and don’t plan on going there. You replied to my post about Phuket, a small place in which five days is/was more than enough. Thank you ????
  15. Lampang and Phayao are some of my favorite places. To each their own ????
  16. Having been all over this planet, 5 days was plenty to get a good read, but you’re not me are you? Different people choose to live where and how they want, in different places and different atmospheres for different reasons, right? I’m in no position to judge where or how anyone chooses to live, what they like or don’t like, how about you?
  17. For me personally it’s a bit of a tourist trap and not as calm as I like. Locals for the most part decent and friendly though there’s a bit more of an aggressive atmosphere compared to what I’m used to. Was there for five days and it was more than enough.
  18. Underwear cops are out in full force, easy to spot 120kg cop women checking for foreigners panties
  19. Never been and don’t plan on ever going
  20. The only place I’ve been to besides all provinces north of Tak (which I like very much) is Phuket, didn’t like it at all and don’t plan on returning.
  21. Using softer shocks is probably fine for slow riders, though isn’t a good idea on fast curves and highways, stability is paramount for safety. If it’s not inconvenient constantly adjusting the shocks then get a fully adjustable pre-load rebound shock, yss has them. Most shock upgrades that are partially adjustable are stiffer
  22. How about a different approach…be amicable and diplomatic, he’s your neighbor and you’re essentially going to have to pretty much live with him. Just be matter of fact and straight forward with him, tell him the water is going into his property and you will have a discussion with the puyai aka village boss. If that doesn’t work then rip out the pipe.
