  1. …” Empirical experience would dictate. Would not purchase any high end anything off of laszada or shopee outside of Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore. Too risky. My wife doesn’t buy anything off those sites that is shipped outside of Thailand. And for sure would never buy a cellphone off any of those sites, only brick and mortar shop.
  2. Scoot, CNX-SIN…SIN-CNX
  3. It is a suggestion because they go out of their way for customers, not meant to be argumentative such as the weedy response to my suggestion. ? Good grief already, it seems most here are laying in wait to chime in just to “one-up you“ rather than to offer civil input. Have a pleasant day or night, wherever you are ????
  4. As I mentioned, nobody asked for any PCR documents on the Singapore Airline flight. I think it’s an additional 1000฿ for rapid.
  5. Lanna hospital, off the 11 super highway in Chang phueak left on the first drive on south side of the hospital and the first entrance on the right and go upstairs to 2nd floor check in and be sure to ask for the rapid test. 2500฿ a few weeks ago, 3500฿ now I think. When I flew into the US a few weeks ago, no one asked for a RT-PCR document from departure of CNX to the US. When I returned last week the same. No one asked for a PCR test document from the US to CNX. Though I did get both tests to and from just in case.
  6. A lot of ignorant replies here. National security is an imperative for all nations. Just take a look at history, it’s the future and it will happen again. I understand there are many pansies that view the world as they want it to be, rather than how it is, unfortunately. We live in a brutal world, though relatively peaceful during the past few decades. If you want to know how brutal things will be at some point in the future, then read up on some historical events of the past. Then you’ll understand how important it is to have as much national security as possible.
  7. Walk or ride motorcycle in the area you like and search for a place that suits you. Is probably the best way to find a place given that everyone has personal preferences.
  8. They came back sometime around mid November. No she did not say anything to me. It was my observation. I’d stop by in the morning 4 or 5 times a week, usually only me or a customer I recognize from a previous day and/or an occasional tourist. I’m sure she’ll be back and open again for a few weeks.
  9. A’ Restaurant. They came back for 3 or 4 weeks in hopes business would pick up, it didn’t so they left. They’ll return when business picks up again. Apparently myself, the 3 or 4 other consistent customers and the occasional visitor wasn’t enough to make it worth staying in cm.
  10. One can find a plastic chair with arm rests for about 150฿ at a Thai household goods shop that are pretty much everywhere. I have a few and think they are comfortable and my Thai friends like them.
  11. First license is a two year probation license, then 5 years. After 20 years of relatively good driving it’s a lifetime license, so I’ve been told by a Thai friend who has a lifetime license and says same rule applies to foreigners
  12. Partly my point, too many troll around the site looking to put others down and conflate their meaning and trashing the threads. For what? What contribution does it offer?
  13. I acquired both motorcycle and car drivers license, having an international permit certainly made everything a lot easier, though I don’t have a motorcycle endorsement. My wife suggested getting certified at a CM driving school. 1000฿ for the motorcycle course that took a couple days, Q&A on the PC on day 1, and driving course day 2. And only 200฿ for the car course since I had both a drivers license and international permit, that entailed only a 40 minute video of car accidents. They put all/made sure all the documents were in order, doing it this way I was able to take care of both at the same time. The next morning, day 3, I went to the DLT in hangdong, took a number waited about 10 minutes gave them the documents, green yellow red lights Q&A, waited about another 5 minutes, photo and print both license and out the door. It was a breeze. Very efficient office. I only needed one copy of certificate of residence and medical with this process. Do note that with my experiences that any documents you submit to the government such as certificate of residence and health will not be returned to you.
  14. Who said anything about an International Drivers License? Too many of you here are hot to make a remark without a thought process.
  15. I don’t know if this has been mentioned here though I’m pretty sure the drivers license can only be renewed at the same DLT office of where the original was acquired at.
  16. Thank you for the constructive contribution to this topic, as others may also be looking for this useful advice. After all isn’t what this site is all about? Helping each other?
  17. Good grief! Is this place becoming a ghetto or what?! Talk about wise guy. Coming off like a thug doesn’t contribute of any good here. Offering disdain and debased verbiage only goes to show the extent and measure of intelligence and lack of self confidence and expressing the cowardly insecurities of oneself. like he said, get a hobby rather than coming here being a chump and pushing people around.
  18. You’re an odd one in a weird sort of way. I’m guessing you’re bored and a little tipsy and dealing with your own set of issues, obviously ????
  19. Who is talking to who here? I swear to Buddha almighty that you guys should not be posting nonsense here while you’re drinking. It gets a little weird here sometimes
  20. There are a lot of good dentist in cm, I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any advice you get here. there’s some discussion a while back here you can read. I go to Grace Dental in nimman area because they have a ceric 3D crown printing machine, fast and easy. More expensive though. And I assure you that they will want to replace the bridge if you go there. Other people here have mentioned having problems with the mangirl receptionist there, but I’m ok with going there, no problems to report. I never got a bridge before, so I can’t speak for that.
  21. I get your point but you are a little sensitive maybe?
  22. I’m traveling from Chiangmai to Phuket to Singapore and then SFO. I’ll have to stay in Phuket for a night and I’ll need to get a PCR test done there before boarding the aircraft. USA requires a 24 hour PCR before departure. Where in Phuket to get this done? Any help would be greatly appreciated
