Where?? Best I can do is 950 locally

I'm going to need a doctor to sort that out. But I know statins are no good for me. The cripple me in fact. I thank you and all other replies. I have managed to reduce it from 1600 down to 750. I'm sure I can get it down more with some research. It just mind blowing that it's 3 times more expensive than in Australia.

Ok, local chemist 990 baht thanks to earlier reply Message online 750 Another online 1000 baht. These are Exemitribe or variants. Which cost 500 baht in Australia.. That's the catch, how does profit gouging Australia beat them all. Very thankful for all of the help from fellow members.

THIRTEEN policemen sacked from RTP in January alone
RobinV replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Tried it on me a few times, I just don't carry cash, they have taken my car keys or passport and have me forceably restrained. I just wait them out. Not having to leave or work confused them. Normally let me go within a few hours or at dawn when the shift changes. -
Thanks one and all. I'll see what transpires and update.

Thankyou. Didn't see it.

Been talked about before but dated, and price mentioned was 90 Baht. Might have been a typo. I'm after EZETROL otherwise marketed as ZETIA. In Australia it's EZETIMIBE. Tried local Pattaya pharmacies but keep getting runaround, finally found some but 1600 baht now for what I can buy in Australia for 500 Baht. (I get pensioners discount 150 Baht) So someone is ripping me off. Can anyone direct me to an honest pharmacy?

Been living here for over 20 years. Biggest beef if the exit visa I need to travel. Portugal is on my list along with one of those cheap houses in Sicily. I'm going to investigate them this year to see if it's really better than here. -
Thailand’s new entry fee – boon or bust for tourism?
RobinV replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Be interesting to see if PR are charged as well. I am <deleted> off that they will not allow me tax exemption on purchases because I am not a citizen or a tourist. So theory wise I'm exempt from this charge. ?????? -
Thailand’s new entry fee – boon or bust for tourism?

Ok I drove up and was tested at the door. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Total trip time 5 hrs from Sattahip. Return in 3 days, pay 1902 Baht, and come home with me PR book. Total cost including petrol, hwy fees etc will be about 5500 Baht. -
Senior Thai doctor says COVID-19 could lead to long-term side effects

Unfortuneately, life. Vaccine may have prevented many deaths, but it will never silence these morons. -
They confiscate residents returning late documents. My passport and Residency book were confiscated at airport. Given a receipt and told to report to Local Immigration. In this case Pattaya. I turned up a week later and they had no idea what I was talking about. I insisted that maybe the snail mail might be late. Thereupon they checked it, behold my doc's were there. I finally walked out with it all complete, and late return waived.

‘Joe Ferrari’, six other ex-cops deny charge of torturing suspect to death

I'm amazed the er cops haven't been dealt with. Better this just goes away, slipped on the soap or faulty power switch etc. So the obvious answer is they are going to get off, suspended sentence for time served and no justice whatsoever. TIT -
Just arrived from Australia. The free State PCR test 72 hours prior to flight was deemed unusable so had to fork out $150Aud for another test at Airport. Same result, but this time a passport No was included. I heard it was a money grab by Australian Immigration. Then Thai immigration wouldn't let me in on expired Exit Visa for Resident. Had to hand over my passport and Residency book and report to Chonburi within a month to sort that out and hopefully they return both to me. Another PCR test at hotel, and another NEG. Plus instructions to have another PCR test in 7 days, and hopefully that's it. I don't recall anyone at airport checking my medical insurance or hotel booking. The hotel did ask for copy of med Insurance before I arrived, and did accept the initial free PCR test. So the Australian government is just as bad as the Thai govt imo.

Nightmare scenarios continue in wake of Thailand Pass launch
RobinV replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I have PR and applied for 90 day pass, didn't mention PR. 1st application on 1st Nov API, which my brother explained is a clot inbetween server and web interface. 2nd Nov I tried again, was really <deleted> that all doc's had to be JPG, I'd prepared using pdf. Anyway they emailed yesterday to say resubmit because the Vaccination doc's were not clear. In Australia both vaccinations appear on one document. The Thai Pass asks for 1st & 2nd. I just uploaded mine twice. Behold, 9 minutes later they approved my application while I was still swearing my head off. The interesting hurdle of course is will they allow my 90 days health insurance to enter on PR non immigrant visa (which is 7 months overdue). Or force me into 12 months insurance or a simple tourist visa?
